    "Never go faster than you're willing to hit." Good advice for _any_ boat driver when approaching the ramp or dock.

    I've loaded our pontoon boat on the trailer about 12 times. I never thought of keeping your bow gate open. That's going to help a lot. Thanks!!

    Why are so many negatives about loading and unloading..obviously this is for first time boaters..not everyone was born with the knowledge of fine boating skills..( trust me ..ive met a few of you jack asses..who run over everyone at the ramp) and your friends..who claim they are better at it than you. Old adage of being kind and patient..will go a long way for your own sanity and health.

    It would be nice to see an example of actually how far to back the trailer into the lake. We always seem to get it too far in then the tail of the boat wants to fish around right away....

      You pretty much want the top of the wheel arches for the wheels slightly underwater. Thats what I do with my XP3 Tritoon. But Benningtons might be a little different

    • @caseywilson5812
      @caseywilson5812 2 роки тому +1

      Remember pontoons float above the water so it isn't like a vhull where you have to put most of the trailer in the water. 1/3 to 1/2 of the trailer should be underwater.

    Most boat ramps that I have ever been to says power loading like you just did is Illegal and if cought punishable up to a $500 fine due to the wash away of the bottom of the lake bed just a heads up

    I have been on boats since I was 6 months old I have operated just about anything except for a pontoon boat until about 6 years ago. I have had my pontoon boat now since about 2015 and I have yet to figure out how to load the damn boat without doing damage on the river. Between waves, the current and the wind it seems almost impossible to load the boat it is stressful and embarrassing. Any advice on loading a pontoon boat with somebody with as much experience as I have?

    how do you tow these if they're wider then 8'-5"? in mass the widest you can trailer without needing wide load permit is 8'-5".

    • @rylandlindleyBMR
      @rylandlindleyBMR  3 роки тому +1

      I believe it is anything wider than 8’6” (8.5’) requires a wide load permit. This boat does not require it here in Texas. If it is wider than that you just need to go get a permit.
