Beginning with the Vietnam war, and all wars after, your rendition of "Brown Eyes" has helped countless individuals who are coping with PSTD. Saw you on your own in the Albert Hall christy, you came out and had a look around at the magnificent Hall that is the Albert Hall and you said " isn't it amazing what paddy can do when he puts his mind to it?" the tears were rolling down my face. You held us all spell bound for the entire gig. I'll never forget that gig. You meant so much to us living over there at that time christy. Don't know if you ever even look at these comments but wanted you to know. Ps I made it back living in the banner.

I was on a trip to Dublin for st Patrick’s and found some locals at the auld dubliner, I spent the week drinking with these gents and ladies, and they suggested 4 essential Irish artist. 1. Christy Moore - live at the point. 2. Luka Bloom - Amsterdam 3 Damien Rice - O 4 Damien Dempsey Dempsey - Seize the day. Sixteen years later, not a week goes by that I don’t listen to these same 4 artist. I have been listening and enjoying your unique talents for years and would just like to say thank you.

Christy, it's an honour, sir. I discovered you while searching for a song I heard years ago, Well Below the Valley. I originally heard it sung by Omnia, but your version is beautifully better. The next song that played was Natives. You blew my mind. Enigma has done a song, The Eyes of Truth, that speaks of a group of people with "the one Truth," that came and destroyed the Native American culture in the name of their own deity. The countries and cultures affected by such ideologies are heartbreaking. Your country has known turmoil for too long. Thank you for singing songs that matter.
