Niké is the Greek word meaning victory. So the thought was that every time you wore Niké that you were walking in victory. That wasn't by accident but instead that was intentional!

Good Morning Claude,
I hate that you feel this sermon was garbage; However, you are entitled to your opinion.
My initial comment had no indication that I learned anything. Bible study, Sunday school and personal devotion are typically where one learns from the Biblical text. Sermons are typically where the messenger delivers a message (hopefully given to him/her by the Holy Spirit). Before I get to your question though, allow me to ask you a rhetorical one: ARE YOU HATEFUL? Hateful people see life and truth through a lens of racism and willful stupidity. If you hateful or racist, there is nothing that myself, Dr. Smith or anyone else with an opposing view can say to you that will make you have a different belief. "For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh." (words in RED). If you are hateful/racist and still planning on going to heaven, it won't be segregated.
You want to know what I learned from this sermon.
1. I learned the origin of "NIKE"
2. I learned that some of it's shoes have names that are derived from Greek mythology.
3. I learned that Nike owns Cole Haan

Kejuan Lynette Good afternoon my sister. Firstly, I am not a hateful person by any means. I apologize if that’s the way I came off. I am familiar with THOH as I am from the Chi area. But it’s hard to watch these (pastors) basically do comedic skits in the pulpit when I know who we are as a people according to the scriptures (Deuteronomy 28 whole chapter) and this is one of the reasons we find ourselves in the condition we are in as a whole (Hosea 4:6). Most Christians don’t even know that Sunday is not the Christian Sabbath Day look it up for yourself. That’s just scratching the surface. How is learning about Greek Gods and Goddesses going to get you in the Fathers Kingdom which is after the Sons Kingdom😮 did you know that?? Time out for Buck dancing the truth of who we are as a people needs to be told.
It all depends on your level of understanding.

We are not tripping. The Word of God is more than enough to reach people. He intentionally chose not to use the Bible and to entertain. He is the same guy who played secular music in the church building like Michael Jackson, Temptations, T.I. He is not a pastor. He need to sit down

Pegasus was a white horse... with WINGS!!!! There’s a rather lengthy story attached to Pegasus... someone needs to research their metaphors a little more carefully.
