dennyfrontier to be fair, while most movies original soundtrack usually match the music with the ongoing action of the movie very well, the composter of this movie made the soundtrack just perfect. My favourite is the Hunt - Cow
NeoArashi - What made "Cow" so great in my opinion is it was basically all the Twister themes combined and remixed in different ways, thought it was the main inspiration for Mobile Home / House Visit.
"Come back Jo?" "Hey Bill you change your mind?" "Yeah what's Jonas doing here?" "I'm not sure. But I bet he is asking himself the same question about you."
We get the popcorn popping and have the movie ready every night we have severe storm warnings approaching. Living here in Iowa - over the years - we've had more than one close encounter of an actual tornado while we've been watching this movie! Just adds something to the reality of what's going on outdoors to have this jammin' inside.
Anyone else listening to this score while you have a tornado watch/warning? Here I am sitting at my pc while there is a tornado watch in my area while listening to this XD This movie is what really got me interested in nature's most powerful storm.
I’ve done it while driving down the highway during a tornado warning and watches as well. I’m a truck driver to be honest I’m not even afraid of tornadoes for some reason I’ve even driven at night during tornado warnings.
I was just listening to this on my way to work this morning. I've always been a little frustrated that the music used between Aunt Meg's house and the "Bob's Road" part isn't on the soundtrack.
I first saw this movie when still a small kid on hollyday to the states from europe, we watched it in an open air cinema, I did not understand much of the movie, and I remember asking dad where the movie was about, he said " a storm in a glass of water", also it was my first encounter with the theme twisters, later when I understood where it was about and I Got the movie as present, I got an obsession for tornadoes , and I played hours long with a whirlpool toy that consists of 2 water bottles conected to each other by a spechial valve, so vortices form when shaking them and there where little toy crabs in it for the vortices to pick up , the water then whirls to the other bottle, turn it around and repeat it, I drew many tornadoes, and watched documentaries about them, also I got a memory from the time on the twister camping that we had a sudden down pour, we heared it comming!
I suddenly realize this track gets used twice in the movie. Right as the Storm Chasers attempt to get underway at the beginning of the film (Just before we meet that nightcrawler Jonas Miller) and later as our heroes leave the rest stop after the mechanic repairs the flat tire Bill got after getting run off the road by one of Jonas's Douchebag patrol.
Same. Bill (as Jonas passes by): "Jonas. Son of a bitch." Melissa: "Who is that, honey?" Bill: "Jonas Miller. He's a nightcrawler. (gives Jonas a slight nod) We both started out in the same lab, but Jonas went out and got himself some corporate sponsors. He's in it for the money, not the science. He's got a lot of high-tech gadgets, but he's got no instinct. (grins) And, he doesn't have Dorothy." Or, so Bill thinks at the time.
This movie got mixed reviews, but, as a kid, I loved it.; To this day, I still consider it a personal favorite of mine.
+tthomaselli2 You're not alone. I have pretty demanding tastes, but this movie gets a free pass. It's just a great time.

I love this movie. I want to chase tornadoes and I might be able to in 6 years!!!
21 years later, it's still easily in my top 3 favourite movies of all times. I watch it at least 3-4 times per year.
I'm curious, what are the other 2? Same sort of genre?
You know you are a true blooded twister fan when you naturally add the dialog while listening to this!
+dennyfrontier ikr?

So true
Amen!
This movie romanticized storm-chasing in its day the way that Top Gun did for Navy pilots back in the 80's. Such a gem of its time!
exactly!
Yes, got a lot of people killed for nothing.

Currently under a watch but we're in central PA so fat chance. Also it's just rainy and depressing outside.
