What’s up brotha! I am a professional mechanic- we pulled this video up because yes, same thing happened! Jump forward- I am Filipino too! I have a cart full of snap on tools but these Asian Hands are the most valuable! Thanks for the video, helped us a lot!
Im going to do a similar job, just replace the bulbs to led. Anyways you just removed the inner wheel arc torx screws to get enogh space? or did you undo the the ones in the comparment area / under aswell?
Hi. Thank you. It is a pain in the neck to remove. You need to jack the rear part of the car, remove the back wheels, remove the wheel well cover, and then remove the screws for the bumper. It wasn't hard to put it back in as long as the bumper snaps back into the clip slots.
Hey just a helpful hint and tip, the lug cap removal tool should be with your spare tire and Jack. It's very small and easy to over look. It's a little ring with a long straight piece with a hook in it. Take a look next time you're in there! Hopefully this helps next time.
Very good evening sir, this is tanka from Nepal. Could you please let me know about the Tiguan... In Nepal the rod is so bad so I need to change one size bigger tire. Now in my Tiguan has 16" rim Fitted buY factory. And please let me know which companies tire is best? If I change bigger size will be okay or will be get some problems? I need more ground clearance... You know what I mean; hope you will response me soon. Regards Tanka lama
+Tanka Lama Hi Tanka! My best friend Satish Joshi is from Nepal. I love the Continental tires. The clearance of the Tiguan is pretty high, you should not have any problems but make sure that you check with the shop where you buy it
Entjik Jeffrie yeah no kidding. I was actually at work when I checked out your video. I was hoping someone had a simple method. No dice. Thanks for the video.
Entjik Jeffrie I found this page as well. Just wondering how reliable the information is. I am trying to install a dash cam on my 2016 VW Tiguan. Any suggestions
This diagram is useful. I was looking for one myself earlier. Dealer would not release the document - bastards. Beware that it alters your home page as a condition of downloading.
I didn't want to go through all this effort so I asked my mechanic to check it out but he wanted to charge $200 for the job. Decided to go without...LOL.
lol I had a hyundai sonata in 2006 and in the invoice the light bulb was $2.99 and the labor fee was $35 to screw the bulb. No more again asking a mechanic to change a light bulb!

The Ford 150 is easier to work with than the Tiguan

Hey! Great video. I'm wondering how to remove that rear bumper? Is it as easy as popping it back into place?

@@ejsgarage Thanks for this. I am enjoying your videos. I have a 12 Tiguan 4Motion. I only got it 2 months ago. I love it so far!

+Trevor Piercy Thank you very much Trevor. I really appreciate it 😀👍
Hye Entjik, Q @1:10 you should have a little tool near tyre removal kit.. small spring like metal cable. Use that to pull those nut bolt caps.
Thanks for the tip 👍😊
nice video! do you know if the reverse light wire is the orange or the blue wire?
Thank you. I think is the blue one.
EJ'S GARAGE thank you! I successfully installed a backup camera with your help :)
Nice to know the mudflaps don't have to come off. Did you get the part number of the broken connector housing?
+Tan N It's nice, isn't it. The connector wasn't broken. It was cracked. The parking light itself basically a whole unit of housing & light bulb.
Entjik Jeffrie how much was it?

+magincap70 Pain in the ass indeed! I don't understand why can't VW could not place the light assembly in an easier place to reach.
Entjik Jeffrie yeah no kidding. I was actually at work when I checked out your video. I was hoping someone had a simple method. No dice. Thanks for the video.
+magincap70 My pleasure.
Hi guys.
Do any of you know how to get a copy of the fuse box diagram for the VW Tiguan. Owner's manual does not provide that information. Thanks

Hi EJ, do you happen to have a video about changing the brake light in a 2009 Tiguan?
Unfortunately no, my 2013 brake lights were ok for 4 years until the day I sold the car.
No way this is how this light is replaced... what a conundrum
Yes, it is hard to do it.
VW should go bankrupt for coming up with such a stupid design
What a mess from VW 😮
Yes, it is so hard to change a light bulb
You need a tripod
