After a year of being optimistic myself, I hate to admit it. I'm jumping ship. I don't want to emotionally invest myself into something that has a good chance of being thrown in the bin because a previous CEO set it up for failure. Maybe in a while Payday 3 will prove itself to be something sustainable to me. But until then, that energy is better spent on better things. Instead of spending money on DLC I'm just gonna take some friends out for dinner. Have a fun evening and make some people happy.

"more of the same" or "ruin it". Damned if you do, damned if you dont. But i agree with you, and, it feels like they got pulled into the "gritty game" marketing that COD was doing back in 2019 and they botched it
I think what they mean by "updates dates will be revealed when the team is sure we can hit them" is that they mean that hotfixes will be coming systematically but content updates will be revealed and dated when they KNOW it will be ready by then instead of promising a half baked update and having to pull through an update with lots of stuff that was untested
it blows my mind that they dont want to focus on single player, or moving away from servers. They keep talking about costs, that's been one of the biggest unecessary costs from the beginning. I feel no sympathy for starbreeze sinking when so many problems were self inflicted. The corporate speak in this makes me want to boke too "were sorry voip didnt live up to player expectations". A day one feature implemented months from launch, and it hardly works. Thats the best way to sum up most of the updates for this game.
Thanks for the suggestions, but personally, Payday is the only horde shooter I'm interested in. I'm into other games like HITMAN World Of Assassination or SimRail. The latter is leaving Early Access next month, so yeah.
Should be: Operation Medic Bag that included features such as solo mode that meant to be offline mode, but u will have to wait 2 more years for that, a new progression system that just makes leveling up too easy & not rewarding and a server browser that only works once after you launch the game, and then it won't refresh and you will be getting connecting errors. They are not even sure when we will get the maskmania event masks...
I said on an article from April 1st, "They're going to need all the medic bags they can carry for Payday 3's life support." And I was right, right now PD3 is still on life support, without the medic bags.
16:20 It's worth pointing out that the way this is worded actually suggests its nothing to do with asking the audience at all, rather that the internal communication was lacking: which, actually rather conveniently for starbreeze in this case, is a perfect example of what would be remedied by a smaller team size. The thing is with this game is I feel like people are expecting the wrong things coming into year 2 considering the game has failed to turn a profit so far. The studio really shouldn't be focusing on small features like VOIP or events (or, in my opinion, the finished solo mode), since these really aren't going to be impacting sales in any way regardless of how much we want them. Focusing the entire team on more attention drawing things like heists and hammering them out back to back to back is infinitely more likely to get the game to a stable enough position to reallocate some of the team to smaller features compared to focusing on delivering and improving these smaller systems.
I think there’s going to be a heist attached to the jacket character pack. Why else would some voice lines and a weapon need 3 more months in the oven?
Andreas answered a question about melee system with the quote ' do you like hurting people?'. So they might be adding melee system with Jacket. Its part of the character.
A lesson starbreeze execs need to learn is that players will come back if you give the game love and funding. CD Projekt Red is a good example of this. CDPR could have easily abandoned cyberpunk and shelled out another Witcher selling millions of copies, but they kept with their team and created a masterpiece in Phantom Liberty/free updates. As a Payday Fan, I want more Payday and if that means the IP is sold to someone else who will do a better job then so be it. I have faith in Andreas and Almir, not Starbreeze
I had thought by this time we would have been looking at a feature complete game. I had thought that we didn’t ask for the moon but rather things that would not have taken that much dev time. I understand a bit better after this latest quarterly report that pd3 has not been profitable. Which explains a lot in terms of why there has not been the investment of resources. I’m still a bit confused overall as to how things like solo mode has not been finished.
This is all because of bad decisions and alienating the community. The typical newer game that spits at what the previous game was and throws it all out the window. We want more of practically every single new game's older brother, not less. PAYDAY 2 was the hotness of heisting games for a decade, why take a gamble and throw out the things we loved about it? From not having basic features like a jukebox or a loot value pop up, to stupid changes like armor being essentially a second health bar(
I think you say nothing wrong. I once tried to point out on one aspect of this game that I wasn't happy with (current assets system and no pre-planing). People said something like "omg, another one wants PD3 be just a PD2". To begin with, Payday 2 was a good game.... No, Payday 2 IS a good game. I do understand, that Devs want us to feel it as a new game, but they have just broke what had been working well for years and no one have complained much.
@@Kuzess Exactly my thoughts. We need pre-planing back, assets are not enough of an improvement on pre-planing(If at all) to replace it. It's just a system implemented to get more reruns of otherwise abandoned heists and maximize ROI on said heists. Not a good way to go about it. PAYDAY 3 should indeed be PAYDAY 2's more polished successor, as the next installment of a gaming franchise should always be. PAYDAY 2 very much so still holds up, even on console in my opinion. A winning formula shouldn't be thrown away, but polished. Starbreeze needed to get a hold of that years ago, sadly. Here's to hope it keeps going down PAYDAY 2's path before it's too late, if it isn't already.
@@SpottedHares people still like it, It has decent online even today. I don't say it's a perfect game, just good enough to be fun. Btw, for me game was finished after White House heist after that I didn't play this game much.
I think red archers doing a great job keeping us all up to date on payday 3 and for me has carried the games name to stay relevant in some form. I think at this point for me personally with the recent drama and terrible updates for the past year I just don't care anymore and cant seem to watch these videos fully anymore just from lack of interest. I've tried to be hopeful as I really wanted this game to succeed but they haven't done themselves any favours and still continue on the path to destruction and I'm not waiting for the boom.
My main hope is they can fix the bugs that effect people's ability to play the game and they can get like an 8/10 on the new content (no big bugs, be entertaining/interesting and maybe a little more content like more weapons/customization items then usual). We shall see. I want the game to be good but I am unsure if it can reach that potential, there is a possibility but we'll have to see what the smaller team is cooking. Who knows maybe there will be a comeback where they can give us what we want and bring the people back to keep the ship afloat. We haven't seen what a smaller team can do yet so until the stuff their working on releases I will remain in the background hoping it goes well... right now most of my attention is on Baldur's Gate 3, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 (which is not what I expected and not as fun so far with random bs eating up supplies) and Space Marine 2 (mostly waiting for new content to drop.... it's basically Payday 3 with me owning almost everything besides leveling up classes I wouldn't use and getting wins with classes).
Its cool that we're gettig FWB back next month but is that really enough to bring players back. We get new content and the hype lasts for like a week then we're back to square one of waiting for the next content drop. Pd3 as a live service fails at the basics of being a live service. We need frequent updates/content drops as well as a rework of the some of the main components of Pd3 i.e renown to keep player retention. Its been over a year now and the steam numbers are bascially the same as they were a year ago. Not much has changed to warrant players returning.
If you ask me 5 heists and 4 weapon Packs per year would be a good amount of content so we have 1 heist and a weapon pack every 3 months + 1 free heist at the end of the year + all 1.5 months some QoL changes and fixes. Dead by daylight does this basically and it works for them so i hope they aim for this since it would be solid for the game. Also i expect a battle pass and a shop ASAP so they make some more money. Question is if we should drop money for DLCs so frequently like i did with every DLC or rather wait since you really need to be scared they pull the plug after year 2
Starbreeze had 138 employees as of 2021. Behaviour Interactive has over 1300 Employees as of 2022. Its not realistic that Starbreeze can juggle 3 live service games Including Payday 3 with the team they have and the funding they have
Them saying that they will downsize is pretty much them throwing the towel since they aren’t far away from a big updates which is gonna be the make or break off the game so I’m not expecting the game to last very long from now on sadly
God, I miss when they still supported Payday 2 dude. Obviously they stopped updating it because of payday three release, that makes sense. but whenever they were working on Payday 2, it felt like it was made with love and care and polish. 2020-2023 Payday 2 was peak Update wise. They were constantly innovating the game, and constantly adding new stuff that everyone liked. And now… It’s just sad. What the hell happened? You think Starbreeze would’ve died by blood loss by now from the amount of time they shot themselves in the foot but they just keep on trucking
Troy, i respect you more than any other payday creator because youre honest and are not word for word copying other creators, you say whats on your mind and i can speak for myself and maybe others but we are fans of PAYDAY, i agree with you, but its hard to be a fan when the guns i pay for are just not usable
"It's on the radar" Radar contact shows within range... do you fire? Waiting for better parameters... Negative target has turned away... Lost contact. Yeaaaa on the radar is not a guarantee. It's thought about and seen but it so easily can be lost and just become nothing and forgotten about.
Yeah, a small team/sized investment is the smart thing to do cuz it always works out well for live service games. It worked out so well for Avengers and Anthem. Oh and let's not forget how it's working wonders for Suicide Squad and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Just chuck this in the bin already and try again with Payday 4.
Ngl after this fiasco I’m not seeing any chances for a payday4 unless a bigger studio decides to buy the studio because they are barely able to keep the game afloat. payday 2 started pretty awful at first but with a consistent player base and a tons of dlcs/collabs updated it managed to pull through but nowadays people just stop playing when the game is this bad (mostly) and play smth else not like there is a lack of games to play at the moment
Fck payday 4, for what? So we can go through this all over AGAIN? Nah go back to payday 2 already there is literal money there just waiting to be made but I guess starbreeze is the first ever corpo that will go out of their way to not be greedy and make as much money as possible lmfao.
It's truly sad that Starbreeze only cares about Project Baxter, which will flop imo. Payday 3 was improving at a consistent rate and now it's unsure how much will actually be done with it. I'll play new content, but my expectations are now gone.
Oh yeah Project Backshots is dead in the womb. I mean it's already known as the game that killed Payday 3, with that kinda reputation there's no way people touch that. I've never seen a company sabotage itself this much, it's impressive
The only gripe i have with the ui update is i join a random road rage then i am bomabarded with 999 ping so i have to host myself aka friends or bots only and having no friends feels like your intrusive thoughts gets louder by the second I just wanted to get this off my chest
I been following your channel for payday 3 since it came out. Decided not to buy the game because it is a live service but really enjoy following the development of this whole thing. Keep up the good work! I did enjoy payday 2 thoroughly, probably will buy payday 3 a few years down the road when its dead and on a bargain bin.
At this point I don't think they're working on offline mode anymore. But they're in hot water with the community so they aren't saying it just yet. All this talk about OMB being over and the team downsizing before the largest and most technically complex part is done? Yeah. They've canned it.
They literally said in the patch notes that they aren’t planning on bringing offline mode which is just a giant turn in the wrong direction plus like you said downsizing when the game is already struggling is definitely them saying „it’s cooked we are throwing the towel“ and that is pretty sad since I was hoping that they just start off on payday 2 current status and just keep making it better
@guts1952 I don't recall them actually saying in any patch notes that the feature was cancelled yet - do you remember which patch? I went looking after this comment and found nothing. A source would be great. Pretty sure they've just been silent and avoiding it. People are still asking and as they said in the blog "nothing to share on offline mode", rather than reiterating they already said it had been canned.
@@a.c.2510 mb gang it wasn’t in the patch notes it was in the „unanswered questions“ part „we have nothing regarding offline mode or iterations of single player mode“ which is the equivalent of saying we aren’t gonna be doing anything about it for the next couple of updates and when it finally comes it’s probably gonna be way too late into the games lifespan to make any sort of difference so it probably will come but just not when we want it to :(
its almost like not having offline playability and by proxy a modding community whos replay ability stemmed heavily in the long term from modding when content dried up. In this case if they just handed over the keys to the castle we could A. make the game enjoyable B. bring people in and C. make the game playable. As it stands theyve mostly killed the cash cow and while jumping ship on a product that failed to make a profit is understandable, if thats your flagship it looks horrific and can cause a death spiral instead of a resurgence.
16:40 "This is why you should have been opened feedback to find out what people wanted in advance, like push to talk." Well no, nobody sane would have said that because it's damn well assumed a 2024 game with VoIP has push to talk. It's like saying you should be open to feedback before a game and expecting people to say there should be a 'quit game' feature, like nobody would say that either, it's just expected! We shouldn't need to hold SBZ like they're toddlers, they made PD2 for gods sake, there's no excuse for this level of incompetency.
13:36 XD yeah about that as i grind camos for my guns in bo6 zombies and have you on my other screen as a small window try to listen to the news... also kinda feel called out here. 🤣
Often times work forces are bloated, and can be more efficient and creative with a smaller team. Hopefully that will be the case for the resulting Payday team
How is there STILL no offline mode? I already had my issues with Payday 3, but it might as well die and stay buried, at this point. Devs that refuse to make their games offline, and then lie about it, as if it were some difficult thing to do are not people I want to do business with.
If they abandon payday 3 they are going to go out of business. They have nothing else anyone cares about and if they made another game people aren’t going to trust them after all the bad games they’ve made.
I know it's not payday, but you mentioned black ops 6. is it worth it to buy? I've been doing some research and people say different things that it's good and bad and this thing is good and that thing should change, what's your opinion? just wondering cos i may purchase it
Do you want to play zombies? If so, yes, the game is fantastic for zombies. If not, maybe... do you want to play Multiplayer? It has cringe SBMM and every game feels fake and miserable if you are a good player and/or care about your performance. Do you want to play Warzone? Well... its free! haha.
It’s pretty decent better then the last cods in a couple of years now weapons are pretty fun, movement feels a lot better and it’s overall more arcadey then the last cods that took themselves super serious when it comes to gameplay campaign is actually pretty good, multiplayer is pretty 50/50 either you stomp or get stomp rarely a even match even if you play your heart out, zombies idk really either you think it’s doodoo or the best thing since sliced bread haven’t really made up my mind on zombies so overall I think it’s worth it since there is enough content to keep you playing and it’s gonna keep getting updates for atleast the next 6-7 months
If the players come back, we encourage more and more devs to launch trash and fix it later. If we dont come back, we probably dont get any more payday this decade. What a fun time to be a payday fan
I'm really interested in the lore of D&D since I played BG3 but I'm not buying Baxter if Starbreeze shuts down PD3 in the future. I will lose what little trust I have left.
tbh i would’ve taken payday 2.5 over the product we got. I would rather have played payday 2 with updated graphics and mechanics than a shitty third game with uninspired content
Honestly this game will never get to where it needs to be. The level of time and resources needed they simply do not posses. They are competing with the still incredibly popular payday 2. Payday 2 offers SIGNIFICANTLY more content, better content, much more support online via guides and builds, more players, and is a fraction of the price. What does payday 3 offer? A better looking engine, but with little content and nothing really interesting or fun to do whats the point? This game NEEDED to launch with way more content than it had. I dont think it would be fair to expect all the heists and weapons from payday 2 to be in payday 3, and honestly its not like all of them were good or used much anyway. But they needed like 3-4x the amount of heists at launch than they had, and far more weapons and attachment options. PLUS the change to skills, perks, attachments, leveling, was a terrible mistake. It worked near perfect in the 2nd game, there was no reason to change it. After 14 months they have added little to the game, most of which was paid btw, and even if you take the game as it is now, pretend all the dlc was free baked into a 30-40 dollar payday 3 game. Its STILL a joke compared to payday 2. At this rate theyd need yeeeears and millions of dollars to invest into this game and they do not have that.
Isn't it stupid to compare payday 2 with payday 3, considering the number of years of development spent on PD2? Yes, the amount of content in PD3 is much less, but one year is not enough for it to become as much as in PD2
@@SpottedHares Difference is that Payday 2 was a working game, so charging for additional content was justified. PD2 also had a lot more free content as a compensation as well.
Tbh I have more to be pi$$ed off about than anyone having paid for gold getting no early access getting beta mode at launch couldn't access the gold stuff for months. I'm actually enjoying playing PD3 at the minute. I willing to give them time and be optimistic.
I played payday 3 as a substitute for call of duty zombies because it had been so down bad since vanguard. Vanguard zombies is way worse then payday 3 at launch. Black ops 6 zombies is good quality though
Payday 3 killed the Payday series. And other games are digging in and eating up their market share. The executives saw their loss of income when people played their online games offline allowing them to hack in DLC for free and decided to RUIN their one and only good IP.
The teaser dropped mid-edit and I didn't want it to be swallowed as some small part of this (hopefully final) edition of Payday 3 sad news - so I did them as separate videos :)
Wait, so with the budget cuts, staff cuts, and profit cuts theyre losing with the digital bros deal, their first thought is to *not* provide offline play *just* incase their servers die and cant be bothered doing something for the good of the playerbase? I wish i never preordered this game
I think ill just buy jacket then leave for good pd3, im done. 1 year and we barely got anything. Maybe ill just let rest pd3 and use my energy in something else
I'll listen to this layer at work but if they don't address the leveling system I'll never get into this game again, they NEED some sort of infamy resest that's what kept me playing payday 2. Every stream I've listened to, I've never seen this come up
It's their fault Purck Decks make the game replayability. The old Armor is what makes payday unique. And skill That's synergized with the perk decks. Make the game Fun get back to that and maybe players will come back. But continue on with 3 as it is and lose everything.
man i rember how shit the old armor system was, i could walk away from the game and do my dishes while i waited fro the rest of the players to fishing what ever xp farm they were working on as their was never and time pressure to actually play the game.
I appreciate your passion about this game, but there’s a real issue being neglected. IF starbreeze had all of the people and all of the funds…would they understand what changes to make to make the game fun? Payday 3 is NOT a fun game. They traded the personality, frenetic pace, and diversified game play of pd2 for generic shooter, poor story, uninteresting mechanics.
This Game is dead. It's time to come to terms with it and move on. Fuck all this flip flop bullshit. Accept the reality of the situation. It had a good run. Sometimes, in life, things aren't meant to be, no matter how much we want them to be.. tired of you content creators making these videos on shit that is probably never gonna come to be.. it's over.. time to let go..
i uninstalled the game and removed it from my favourites i'm not going to sink time into a live service game for it to evaporate once the servers get shut down it's a complete waste of my time for it to be history seen as a full offline mode is no longer coming so i wont be p[laying the game at all and wont be watching anything regarding new content
We need to stop being suckers, people bought payday 2 dlc to keep the afloat to get payday 3, people bought payday 3 even if it wasnt good to support the devs so they could make it better, people bought payday 3 dlc for the same reason and now they just go welp sorry we gonna do something else now but still go, if you wanna support us buy dlc :).
Nobody bought Payday 2 DLC to keep overkill (starbreeze) afloat? The fans aren't out here donating lol, i don't know if that's exactly what you meant but it reads that way. Payday 2 DLC was generally really good and Payday 3 sold because it was a new exciting game in the massively popular franchise. Payday 3 DLC I imagine saw far less sales after the horrible launch and first year support.
20:15 Sorry I had to comment again lol but I think you kinda forgot the big issue here: Payday 3 ISN'T making them cash, and so far the investment made towards Payday 3 has got them jack shit both in terms of increased player count and profit. On top of that, they've also clearly already invested time and money in baxter (And presumably a license? Don't actually know but I'm assuming so), and saying "nah lets just drop that for now and invest more into the game which continues to fail to turn a profit" would be a suicidal move. I really enjoy Payday 3 but honestly I think the only possible chance for its continued development is baxter turning enough of a profit to support both, failing something like the 5 million free copies event from payday 2.
From my understanding, when it comes to laying people off, if they can't move them to different project and have to fire, it can be for a different reasons (not saying all of the are SBZ case): 1. They were trouble employees; 2.(most common) They have too many employees than they can afford to pay. When it comes to no. 2, those people are usually: The least experienced one (in general); Those who worked there the least amount of time than others. Basically the weak tail. Not saying those devs are useless. It's a shame but business is business. Those things happen everywhere
So now you and kknowley have swapped roles? Very tactful. On the real this is bleak as a fan of payday and the CEO needs to have it made loud and clear this plan will for sure KILL THE COMPANY.
Im sick of these slow slow slow live service games. And these devs who want to give us the content, But youve got these big wigs up top who dont know what we want, and only think selfishly “money money money” And im really sorry. Idgaf what project baxter is. They should DROP that shit. And just fully focus on their cash cow, well focus into turning it back into their cash cow anyway.
Armor 2.0 system for skill system rework are not going to draw people into this game. It’s not going to sustain players neither somebody might turn it on check out the difference and then within a couple days they’re gone again. There’s only one cure to fix this game. Content New content New heist New guns They should put 100% focus on heist guns in a way of free and paid content get this thing driving drop some stupid outfits on there for people to buy, and once the money charges driving finalize all this tedious little things that are constantly changing anyways again, armor systems, skill system systems
Had to delete this game for storage doing that made me sad and now as I look at this games news and state of the game all we can do is prey for the future and prey for the future of payday in general….
Some cool stuff has been teased... but there's a little too much that's just "on the radar" for my liking, especially knowing what we know about the reduced team size & budget...

A day one feature implemented months from launch, and it hardly works. Thats the best way to sum up most of the updates for this game.
I'm still scared of Payday 3's future. Perhaps I should go on hiatus from the franchise again...
I found RAID: WWII to be a nice replacement, they released a big update recently.
Raid or crimeboss are good choices
If you got somewhat of a good pc darktide is also a solid choice. If not, then deep rock galactic is a great fallback.
Thanks for the suggestions, but personally, Payday is the only horde shooter I'm interested in. I'm into other games like HITMAN World Of Assassination or SimRail. The latter is leaving Early Access next month, so yeah.
@@clickedcrispy5597deep rock is one of the most fucking dog shit boring ass fucking waste of money and space on any system or pc
I said on an article from April 1st, "They're going to need all the medic bags they can carry for Payday 3's life support."
And I was right, right now PD3 is still on life support, without the medic bags.
They are running a dodge build rn a
16:20 It's worth pointing out that the way this is worded actually suggests its nothing to do with asking the audience at all, rather that the internal communication was lacking: which, actually rather conveniently for starbreeze in this case, is a perfect example of what would be remedied by a smaller team size.
I'm never gonna stop regretting buying the deluxe edition for this game, am I?
Shame on me I guess but God damn modern gaming.
I regret buying it at all. I'm a standard edition owner and even I feel scammed
I think there’s going to be a heist attached to the jacket character pack. Why else would some voice lines and a weapon need 3 more months in the oven?
It took them a year to release voice chat, and even that was undercooked on release. So no, it's just Starbreeze being Starbreeze
If they are having trouble with Payday 3 I'm certainly not going to think that the next game in the pipeline will be better.
@@Kuzess which version of payday 2 is a good game? The ones left unfinished?

New Payday3 video when ?
Its not realistic that Starbreeze can juggle 3 live service games Including Payday 3 with the team they have and the funding they have
@@DiscreetHobo BHVR has 5 live service games, are publisher, make offline games and have out source help. My bet is on DbD work around 150 ppl
"It's on the radar"
Radar contact shows within range... do you fire? Waiting for better parameters... Negative target has turned away... Lost contact.
Yeaaaa on the radar is not a guarantee. It's thought about and seen but it so easily can be lost and just become nothing and forgotten about.
Yeah, a small team/sized investment is the smart thing to do cuz it always works out well for live service games. It worked out so well for Avengers and Anthem. Oh and let's not forget how it's working wonders for Suicide Squad and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Just chuck this in the bin already and try again with Payday 4.
I'm sorry to say but there won't ever be a Payday 4
They’ve already thrown in the towel and they don’t even know it yet
Operation Body Bag followed by Operation Backshots shortly afterwards.
Until the existing maps get more variety/replayability in them I probably won't return : P
The only gripe i have with the ui update is i join a random road rage then i am bomabarded with 999 ping so i have to host myself aka friends or bots only and having no friends feels like your intrusive thoughts gets louder by the second
I just wanted to get this off my chest
@@a.c.2510 mb gang it wasn’t in the patch notes it was in the „unanswered questions“ part „we have nothing regarding offline mode or iterations of single player mode“ which is the equivalent of saying we aren’t gonna be doing anything about it for the next couple of updates and when it finally comes it’s probably gonna be way too late into the games lifespan to make any sort of difference so it probably will come but just not when we want it to :(
@guts1952 ah, yeah I saw that but figured you meant something closer to actually announcing it. Not interpreting.
its almost like not having offline playability and by proxy a modding community whos replay ability stemmed heavily in the long term from modding when content dried up.
16:40 "This is why you should have been opened feedback to find out what people wanted in advance, like push to talk."
Well no, nobody sane would have said that because it's damn well assumed a 2024 game with VoIP has push to talk.
I just wanted it to be PAYDAY 2 but better...
How is there STILL no offline mode? I already had my issues with Payday 3, but it might as well die and stay buried, at this point. Devs that refuse to make their games offline, and then lie about it, as if it were some difficult thing to do are not people I want to do business with.
They straight up lied about offline mode and hoped everyone would forget about it.
Operation : still in need of a medic bag
Wait, why is BIG Oil never coming to Payday 3? Is it because they don't want to release 2 or 3 day heists? I don't get it
Almir doesn't like big oil it's a long running joke. Wether big oil is coming or not remains to be seen
> Is it because they don't want to release 2 or 3 day heists?
Yes.
Shame, Big oil and Framing frame were the heists that brought me back to PD2
Stole this from another video but sadly it's accurate: "Operation Bodybag"
If the players come back, we encourage more and more devs to launch trash and fix it later.
If we dont come back, we probably dont get any more payday this decade.
What a fun time to be a payday fan
I'm fine with sacrificing Payday for sending a message. PDTH and PD2 still exist after all.
no offline? this game is DEAD. RIP.
They need bring back P2P and offline. Let the mods do a fair amount of the heavy lifting to keep the players around at least PC
I'm really interested in the lore of D&D since I played BG3 but I'm not buying Baxter if Starbreeze shuts down PD3 in the future. I will lose what little trust I have left.
I uhh. what even happened. this game is a damn enigma I don’t understand how anything even functions and yet we still have it?
Don't they only have like 20 devs working on the game? They're understaffed IIRC.
tbh i would’ve taken payday 2.5 over the product we got. I would rather have played payday 2 with updated graphics and mechanics than a shitty third game with uninspired content
on the table year 2 edition
My comment still stands, its gonna take 6-7 years for the game to feel right... Thats if they don't fuck up and Payday IP completely crashes.
Just when i started to get optimistic
I really hope Starbreeze realizes they are sealing their own grave and cancel project baxter and the 2028 project and just focus on PD3
Yes, the amount of content in PD3 is much less, but one year is not enough for it to become as much as in PD2
so payday 3 adding payed content is bad but payday 2 asking for money for content wasn't? talk about moving the goal post.
@@SpottedHares
Difference is that Payday 2 was a working game, so charging for additional content was justified. PD2 also had a lot more free content as a compensation as well.
I really hope that the table also doesn't get put on the 2028 game, cuz then there will be no where to put the content
If cyberpunk can make the comeback of the decade i belive payday3 stands a small chance of coming back
Sorry Troy, but we dont want devs passionate about the game, we want devs that knows how to code.
To be honest I’m not buying it till off line mode is polished and fixed all I play is offline since I don’t have wifi

So simple to do also. It's basically a few number tweaks.
i remember how shit that system was and how much i just artistically padded the playtime for very marginal buffs.
I'll listen to this layer at work but if they don't address the leveling system I'll never get into this game again, they NEED some sort of infamy resest that's what kept me playing payday 2. Every stream I've listened to, I've never seen this come up

So they have zero interest in offline mode
This has been the case since the beginning I fear
I dont know why we keep giving this company a change a whole year and no profit made!
I know allready know im not coming back again
So now you and kknowley have swapped roles? Very tactful. On the real this is bleak as a fan of payday and the CEO needs to have it made loud and clear this plan will for sure KILL THE COMPANY.
Im sick of these slow slow slow live service games. And these devs who want to give us the content,
But youve got these big wigs up top who dont know what we want, and only think selfishly “money money money”
And im really sorry.
