In my opinon the plane was tailheavy from the lights because all three are BEHIND the C/G!! BTW the noise of the impeller listen for me the same way as in the maiden flight video ;)

Interesting fact: The MIG-15 was designed after stolen blueprints of an experimental plane developed in the shadows of the Luftwaffe. It used that same Pod type fuselage with the swept wings and the tall vertical tail. TA-183 “Huckebein”
You were right about the CG. I Took you advice and added a little weight to the nose and pushed the battery all the way to the front. I am using 1600s 45 C and it flies beautifully. Easily gives me 4 minutes.

I agree with the others tail heavy, it just wanted to swap ends on you every throw may need alittle nose weight to compensate for the lights.

Since I stumbled over this channel ( thanx to UA-cam algorithms for that ) I'm more and more convinced that in fact I'm privileged to witness the best model aviation displays in the world performed by the modern versions of Colonel Manfred von Holstein and his aide Captain Rumpelstoss.( remember that movie ? Those Magnificent Man in Their Flying Machines ? ). At first glance it will be because of the language, the cap and the pants...HAHAHA !!!! Nothing wrong with a "Hand Toss" from time to time :) A bit of DIY if you will. So funny and interesting that things don't always go as expected.
Of course, it was the lights making it extremely tail heavy!! It didn't even occur to me.

Funniest episode ever. "Captain Blaz, what's this, eh?" That would be the pieces of a former MIG. The look on Pilot Robert's face was priceless. So distraught. I don't know why other people's misfortune is funny but it sure as hell is. Some days you get the bear. Some days the bear gets you.

As others have said, I think adding the lights has shifted the CG backwards. If I were you, I'd check where it is without the lights, mark it on the wing, fit the lights again, and then move the battery until the CG is back on your mark 😉
Like you said David. But on this bird its really hard to measure good CG. It must be nose heavy and it was. But it looks like not heavy enough. On the maiden was flying perfect with the same CG but this time I have puted lights on and the lights are behind CG spot. The bird is fixed and I will try it again without the lights and we will see what will happen... Cheers my friend, robert

The red light is supposed to go on the left wing on the plane, and the green light on the right side. Obviously not the cause for the crash though. 😉

I noticed when you first connected the battery that you got a surprise when the ESC started. Is it possible that you accidentally recalibrated the throttle and are not getting the full throttle? I always get a smile from your videos. Keep up the good work.
I was really surprissed becouse it took so long. I have fixed the bird now and its still the same and I have calibrated it again. So I really dont know. I think that the CG was ruined from lights. I will try again without them and we will see what will happen... Cheers my friend, Robert
Watching the video showed me the Mig was tail heavy with those additional LED lights (all behind the C/G). Also, check the tightness of the impeller. It may have loosened up slightly and is slipping on the motor drive washer. Remember, a nose-heavy plane will fly again, but a tail-heavy plane will only fly ONCE. Keep up the good work Guys...I love your videos!

May be a bit much but my plane with .90 tigre has 5 inch mains and a 4.5 nose wheel. Its a home made 7.5 ft span based from a sig senior with a 6 inch wide fuselage. I use a 15x4w apc with a straight pipe. Its slow but strong.

Hi guys greetings from Florida. Love your MIG, interesting flight, sort of, looked tail heavy at launch, and underpowered, did notice NAV-LIGHTS were not on the aircraft during maiden flight. I wouldn't think the lights are that heavy, but Capt. Robert you are right the thrust didn't sound right but you guys will figure out the problem and all of us are anxious to see it in the air again. Love you guys for sharing your videos, takes my mind off all the Bullshit here in the U.S. you give me something to look forward too, thanks a million...

Pilot Robert and Captain blaz, im sorry for the crash but this video had me in stitches. 😂🤣. I hate tossing my planes too. Could it be a problem wirh your battery cells? , they might not have been balanced ? A very strange thing when you cant get full thrust. Love to find out , if you find the problem. As they say "you win some and lose some".

Holy Shit I love you guys, best RC Plane Channel, Love the reviews love the planes love the laughs. I must say I pissed myself laughing for an hour after this video. Not so much because of the Crash but just the response from it after such a fantastic flight. I hope the plane survived and can or has been repaired.

From what I could find out, those lights are 5 grams apiece, and they are {like others have said} behind the C/G. That's 6 US pennies or just over .5 oz.

I just ran my 0s 46 for the hell of it ... Seven times in a row it started backwards before running normally! And it runs awesome backwards! Anyone else experienced this?
Use rubber stick or at least thick leather gloves. I have also got a few cutts and from electro props...
Oh yeah, it happens a lot on our runway with nitro engines. Somethimes Blaž starts them in a wrong way and then they run correct...
let blaz know on my tigre and may work on others that the right taper ground on idle mixture screw will clean up midrange.

Hey Captain blaz, I saw you went on a trip. I guess I'll see you next fall. You were a study of Grace in motion, LOL. You both clearly have many hand tossing experiences, judging by the way the airplane didn't fly I'm guessing hand tossing is not your first choice. At least for airplanes. Hold the jet vertically and full power to see if it would float/hover. It should do that with 4s, at least hover if not slightly move vertically upwards. If it cannot hover, you don't have the power for lift off.
Hey Robert. On 3S they dont hover. Almoust but not. And they are made for 3S. It would be better on 4S but I wonder about ESC then. And I was flying this baby before on 3S and it was perfect. I just dont know what happened this time. But on maiden I did have some wind... Cheers, Robert
