The B-52s have been my favorite band for 32 years (gulp! :O :) I've checked out many covers over the years, this cork pops right up to the top, but to who said it is better than the original, bite your tongue;) Christina Marrs totally nails the vocals here and the stage-play is icing on it, so glad this performance was filmed. A friend who is only familiar with The B-52s few radio hits fell in love with this. I'd love for Christina and Cindy Wilson to hook up for a track or so together :)
the B52s were after my time-while I didn't connect with them I saw what they were going for. But I think Fred,Kate, Ricky & Co would have freaking LOVED this. The Spankers accent all the great camp moves that were already extreme from the 52s...this is raw utter genius in interpretation. A tour de force of irony, and satire.
Whenever the Spankers come to town, i find a handful of athiests and pay their way into the show. And they always come out in agreement - This Is God's Favorite Band!
Dayum! I was going to put seeing you as a group on my bucket list, but then research and saw that you disbanded (no pun intended). Wow! How wonderful! You made me smile and for that I thank you.

Dead silence wou;d be better than the original. As a resident of the Atlanta/Athens area i've had to suffer throughREM's shoegazer junk and the B52's overrated noise. The best thing i ever heard about the B52s was when Elvcis Costello played the Fox and introduced "Radio Radio" by saying it was originally about the crap that was on radio in those days that all sounded alike - "...now you turn on your radio amd it all sounds like the B52s..." Guess who were sitting front row center.

OMG, I love it! I remember being in college and seeing the '52's do this live in a cramped college campus bar.
She nailed this 🔥🔥🔥

Now *that* was a great cover, very funny too - captured the essence of the original song, at least for me! Well done.
