If you haven't finished the roof yet. Its a good idea to remove the rear window panel (its plastic and is held on by rivets) because if the vinyl failed, water could have got in and pooled where the back panel and body meet on the trunk mechanism crossmember. I pull the roof off mine and the crossmember was screwed to the point where the rear window was holding together what was left.
Yea... Find a woody delete roadmaster wagon! RARE... Or an olds Custom Crusier like I have,, But they are slow with the TBI engine. the 350 TBI isnt too bad though.. Dynomax Ultraflows sound cool on the LT1. I have them on my impala.

well if its a caprice i would be the classic but me oh the roadmaster wagon i just gotta have! its the ultimate sleeper AND you can haul lots of stuff in it! just slap some f-body heads, make it a true dual exhaust oh i would love to have one!
@hamppu89 no, i don't drive my speedboat 40000km/ year, and i won't do that in a Cadillac Brougham eather cuz it is a Summer/ enthusiast vehicle. BUT i used 500l of gas last summer, that was more then my dad re-fueled his car with over the whole summer! and, for me, fuel is cheap:) i have alredy started to save up for a caddy brougham, soon enough

The gas prise in sweden is the same as there you are. that's np, the gas is practical not more expensive today than it was 50 years ago, you earns a lot more now than 50 or 30 years ago. if you look at the avarege salary 40 years ago and compare with the gas prise, it's more cheap now tha then! so, fuel prize, don't think about it! :)
@j45007, I'm replacing everything because its all bad. The car would wander all over the road, so i checked and all the bushings, ball joints tie rod ends are bad. I am getting new control arms and springs too. As of right now everything is apart, I am just waiting on the control arms to get the project finished.
@tjampe Well, it is not so cheap at least for me (only i will pay the gas :( and my work distance is so long) and keeping 6 cars is not so cheap. When my current BMW project is somewhat ready, i will buy antoher. I have couple choises: Cadillac Brougham, BMW 750iAL E-32 or import Toyota Soarer/Nissan Stagea. I don`t know how long by current project will take because i have been busy with research projects and studies. Hopefully in couple of years.
@romeroremor well with all these gasoline running in my veins i would say true duals with flowmasters! or maybe the ory with the slp loudmouth that would scare the kids in their plastic lunchboxes!
Hmm. I was thinkig of buying a Brougham for a summer car/project car. I love the styling! Too bad that the gas price in here is about 1.45€ or 1.7$ per litre!

It is true that money value has changed over the years and gas was cheap, but you just cant`t compare them so easily. Today living expences and other things are more expensive than wat it was in the 70s/60s. Also taxes etc. And in the future gas price will change because biofuels are more expensive. (thinking of doing my M.Sc about biofuels.
