    What are the symptoms of a bad fuel pressure regulator on this engine?
    My car runs fine when driving, but every now and then it will drop rpms when idling...from 800 to 200-300rpm and cath back up to normal 800...And sometimes it will stall, but then starts up like nothing happend?
    The car goes well, no smoke, no increased fuel consuption, no strange noises...I changed the diesel fuel filter but it's the same...
    i'm just hoping i don't have injector or high pressure fuel pump problem

      Usually it doesn't start easy, the engine has a longer cranking time compared to usual. Another symptom is that it doesn't hold the idle. It revs up and down, like it couldn't hold it. For the car in the video, the engine had a 1/2 second longer lag than usual when accelerating. Your problem can come from many causes. The best is to do a diagnose using Renault Can Clip or at least Delphi, by someone who knows how to read the parameters

      Adjust the flat head screw on the back of regulator clockwise to the space of 1 second on a clock, tricky enough for space, it only needs a tiny adjustment, worked 4 me today, different van, it will work 100%

    Reason for battery disconnect?

    • @robylnt
      @robylnt  5 місяців тому +3

      There are multiple reasons why it is said in the Service Manual to disconnect the battery, but one of them is that the pressure regulator might be in a certain position and when you disconnect the battery automatically goes to the neutral position. Also you are disconnecting and connecting the injectors which is recommended to do so without having the battery connected

      @robylnt  Місяць тому

      Depends if you buy it OEM, after market, the quality of the regulator itself. Usually around 70 euros

    Hello. After replacing this part, is it necessary to connect the obd to the computer and do something? Or can we install the new valve and start the car?

    • @robylnt
      @robylnt  Рік тому +1

      Hi! No, it is only a replaceable part, the ECU knows what to do with it if it has the same part number!

      @@robylnt Thanks for your answer. We do not make any adjustments in the screwdriver slot on the valve, right? I bought a new valve, I will install it without changing the valve, right?

      @@ugurdenizer4390 no! leave it as it is! wish you good luck on that and make sure to clean the surroundings of the pressure regulator very good so no debris enters the high pressure pump!

      Hello again. I disassembled the part and reassembled it. I started my car and all is well. Your video has been very helpful. Thanks again. But I put the new part very hard, I oiled it a little bit, but it still didn't fit. I replaced it with a small hammer. But I couldn't push it to the end. I tightened it with the last screw and it went in smoothly. Is it normal to have something like this in the new episode? I've checked and there are no fuel leaks for now. Engine running smootly

      check with a tester the pressure value made by the high pressure pump

      @@robylnt The sensors, the fuel pump have been changed, it gives an error, I think the injector and ECU will still be checked.

    • @robylnt
      @robylnt  Місяць тому

      @@samettemur88 Maybe an injector is faulty, the ECU is not a common problem. Search the error code on the internet and find what is the problem.
