G'day Legends, I see many other bloggers suggesting that 'RU Offensive has stalled' or 'UA Complete collapse' Neither in my eyes is correct, And both arguments were made by the same accounts during Ukraine's '22 offensive, But in the reverse... (I have been guilty of this too)
4 days is NOT enough to make these claims in an attritional war, Especially when in my eyes what we are seeing is a large Russian Recon element, I think we could see these Russian troops withdraw as fast as they came in if they assess this as an unsuitable axis. Or potentially we could see more forces committed.
Remember also MANY sources have a role to play in the informational space.

Hey Willy, you wanna share some of Ukraine's military history so people can think about removing their rich, western, rose coloured glasses off when looking at this. The inherited military was practically sold off and abandoned following independence because let's not forget....Ukr wasn't exactly flush with cash. They have been, and will be ,chasing their tail for well into the foreseeable future because their military has really only existed since '14 with next to nothing in the way of resources.
Thats the phenomenal thing..a 10 yr old military built on a hodge podge of western military hand me downs has embarrassed their neighbour. It' wasn't said to be a 'within a fortnight operation', for no reason.
How the comrades think they have anything to celebrate over is embarrassing. They should be demanding answers for this failure.

Because they are citizens of that country, whether they wanted to be or not. If they don't want to be conscripted, then their only action is to renounce their citizenship, hide, or change how conscription works in their country
Peer pressure, the alternative might be prison, lifelong shunning following release, etc, a life not worth living. My Great Granddad was given white feathers during WW1 when he was too young to volunteer. Was conscripted as soon as he came of age, then mustard gassed and left semi-disabled for the rest of his life. On being unable to work properly after coming home, he and his young family were advised to "sell their furniture" in order to, you know, not starve. No roaring 20s for most in the mines and mills of Northern England.

The reason you see so many Ukrainian drone videos is because when they lose territory they target the Russian storm troopers who captured the new territory. Many of them are just targeting Russian vehicles that were abandoned in an assault after dropping off troops. They then post these everywhere like they are victorys lol

Its super rare for UKR to post actual winning combat footage these days, telegram is awash with russians taking prisoners and absolutely cooking defenders with Terminators and TOS-1As... This article is the USA alone in december of 2022, 17 months ago. We also know Europe has sent 90 Billion Canada 5 billion, the USA another 61 billion 2 weeks ago, plus all the money from other US vassals like Japan, Australia etc. And this is the overt funding, not even sure if it counts "donated" military equipment. If not then it is easily over 300 Billion. Notice the denial of it being a proxy war by the USA, something they have actually boasted about for some time

But it is not merely the fringe of the Grand Old Party that seems inclined to repeat Russian propaganda.
British newspaper The Independent published an opinion piece by its US correspondent titled: “It’s time to stop pretending what’s happening in Ukraine is anything other than a US proxy war.”

What i mean by the myth of tbe Asiatic Hoards is this:
Although the soviets had massive short comings early in WW2, by 1943 they had vastly improved, and they completely crushed and rolled back the German army all the way to Berlin by using superior tactics with superior numbers of equipment that was either on par with or even better than the German equipment, highly motivated and skilled soldiers, vastly improved tactics, and crucially; far better logics, i.e. the Russians had far greater manufacturing capabilities and relied mostly on trucks, while the German army was still mostly horse drawn, and as the war drag on and got more desperate, the Soviets were actually often able to inflict disproportionately large numbers of casualties on the Germans, especially as they crossed from Poland into Germany himself.
But here's the thing: getting your arse kicked sucks, especially when it's by people you consider to be sub human and inferior to you. So even though the soviets used very effective combined arms tactics, the Germans coped with the suck by saying "we were facing endless Asian hoards, they just kept throwing wave after wave of men at us and we couldn't stop them,, no matter how many we mowed down", that is the myth of the Asiatic Hoards, and when the cold war started, we took this myth and ran with it, and we are still applying it to Russia in this war.

Russia has taken close to the amount of territory Ukraine took in there offensive last year. Only they've done it in a few days with several thousand men and Ukraine took 5-6 months and lost somewhere in the range of 20 to 40 thousand men for a little bit of non strategic territory. Where men have still been dying there since last year, trying to defend their few small demolished towns that "captured" . It's just so fucking anger inducing knowing all these soldiers are dying hiding in a bombed out basement in some tiny farming village just so Ukraine can say Russia still hasn't been able to push back fully reclaim the land. But that isn't the war Russia is fighting. They're not going to risk getting soldiers killed over these little towns, that mean nothing and especially when said area has no significance to the battle. So now they just hang back and lob in artillery constantly and then attack any Apc's or groups of soldiers trying to keep breaking up Ukraine's rotations and supply routes.
Now they have to take back all they lost in 2022 and more than that besides.
By Russian law Ukraine occupies Russian soil.

That is true, the problem is that some do not exist, or are not built to the expected requirements.
Then why have Ukraine held anything near the RU border, which they have - for years...
Russia had no issues building some fortification right at the front line. Look at failed UA offensive.
So why UA could not do it?
