Otanablue has a double meaning. It means "adult blues", but when Suzuka says "buru" it means "to pretend to be an adult". It's about a girl who fantasizes about feeling adult emotions and love, but isn't really ready yet although she's aware of older men looking at her. It's a tricky subject, but obviously one that is particularly relevant to the young women in a pop group that started when they were teenagers. It's AG being honest and showing their strength. Their singing, dancing and personalities make them great entertainers who don't need vocal filtering, light shows or big sets to put on an enjoyable show.
AG formed back in 2015 and are managed by Asobisystem. Mizyu (two hair bunches) had already worked with Asobisystem as a backup dancer with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Suzuka, Rin and Kanon joined her. Mizyu is three years older than the others and so is sometimes called the leader and the other three still look to her in some circumstances, but Suzuka's extrovert personality and strong voice make her the obvious front woman. They are all trained dancers and do their own choreography and work with various producers on the songs including Money Mark and Yonkey.
Right now (April 2024) they are playing Coachella and they've premiered some new songs, I'd encourage you to react to those: "Omakase", "Arigato" and "Forever Sisters".

I love how they act so silly and goofy, yet always manage to show off their flawless vocal and dance skills.

They freaking killed at Coachella. Suzuka has been known to crowdurf during songs. They just go hard. Note as much fun as they are many of their songs address real issues as well.

Glad you liked this song! They rly have so much energy! If you want to see what they’re like live, you can find videos of their Coachella performance! Last night, Suzuka even went into the crowd and hugged some fans; crowd interactions are always amazing with these girls!

You can’t really get the meaning from the sanitized translations in these subtitles. It’s about teen girls who understand the power they hold in a society that persistently fetishizes young girls. Almost all Atarashii Gakko songs contain cutting critique of Japanese society with the most cleverly written lyrics. It’s a testament to their art that you can still enjoy their energetic performances without understanding that additional level of commentary.

I'm partway sure, this song is about a young girl wanting mature love... I don't speak Japanese and I'm going off of the Official MV, but I don't think it has any deeper meaning than that...
Also considering Rin has a candy cigarette kinda helps the point of being young but wanting to be mature... In fact, I'm entirely sure otanaburu translates to mature

These girls are high energy to say the least. A person could take them to Wal-Mart and have a blast if you don't get thrown out. (Lol)
The hair twirling you commented on is called the Mizyu copter. She looks like the youngest member but is actually around three years older than the other members.
