the crowd loves Luan and the judges love Nyjah
+John Bush Because the crowd is tired of Nyjah getting higher scores for easier tricks than the others, the ones who are not "stars" also get lower scores, just look at salabanzi some of his scores were so low i cant believe he didnt show frustration.

shane was so up to win this! he was the best skater that day! And the scores given to salabanzi? Man what a disgrace! nobody does the double flips like salabanzi and the judges still score him much lower than houston. Sure Nyjah is good but he wasn't the one who deserved to win this!
easymode1 How? Nyjah is arguably the most hated skater because everyone believes he is scored higher. He is scored higher because he is versatile. I do agree Salabanzi was low balled. But Nyjah does the harder tricks.
Everyone be talking about huston and oliviera, but oneill looks so solid on all of his tricks. His upper body barely sways, he rarely loses balance and he makes everything almost look effortless. What an amazing skater!

Although Luan is pretty special too imo (the perfection of that hardflip, bs flip over that ledge..)
Luan will be always the sickest street skater around there. He is so amazing.

Nyjah he is not taking risks is weak, he will never do the maneuvers that Luan does and at the speed he does and perfectly, the level of the maneuver becomes extremely difficult, on that side the score should be higher.
Nyjah is, do the simple, basic and be champion, it becomes boring to watch and watch, that's why the crowd loves Luan, O'Neil, Salabazi etc...
Luan and shane should have edged it but Njah was typically clutch in this. His full cab flip over that bank was atleast 9.2 and he got an 8.7 for it.Torey did a back 360 over a much smaller bank and got a 8.9. Even Njah got wrongly scored in this event
Nah, the Cab Flip was a decent score - Because multiple Cab Flips have already been done, and Nyjah already did 2

40:17. Shane wasn't going for a switch bigspin flip. He was going for a switch bigspin 360 double flip. A guaranteed 10 club if landed.
But now in 2020 it would of got like an 8.9

Ikr he cleared most of the thing with a hardflip and got a petty 9.3
it seems like the judges always underscore luan a little bit in these sls things and I don't know why because his style is amazing

Not actually - Hardflip is not worth 9.5
@Thor Odinson That was the sickest hardflip ever done though. He pops it incredibly high and catches it so stylish. Luan might not always do the hardest tricks but his style is second to none.

Half cab double flip in impact section gets a 9.3 but Luans switch big heel gets a 8.8 !!
How Nyjah chased the lead in the control section has to be one of the greatest competitive performances of all time... and yet Luan only 0.1 behind :'D
such a shame they gave Luan only 8.8 for that switch big heel! He should have won!
No idea why Luan always seems to get scored lower.. His Speed, Pop and Style were unmatched.

Notice when everyone is congratulating Nyjah they don't look at him, Chaz offered him a high 5 but I don't think his heart was in it he just had to because he was the closest to him.. I think Nyjah has a lot of respect from the other skaters, but he never truly shows it for them and they've become sick of that, in my opinion. Nyjah is a beast though, a long with everyone else at this event.

Shane was definitely underscored in the control section. Seriously, shanes nollie back heel 7.9 and nyjahs nollie front heel 9.0. Fuck me.
Nyjah's was huge and over the landing to flat. I find most scoring is based on "Can the other guys do that" and you know Nyjah could stomp the nollie back heel over the stairs before Shane could nollie front heel off that ramp.
Before, i thought that nyjah always get overscored but now, as i see again all street leagues, nyjah's runs and tricks were sick af, the difference between luan and nyjah is the grinding, while luan has big tricks, nyjah has to and also big grind and slide tricks.

Going back and watching these 1 thing is apparent, Shane was underscored on most of his switch/nollie tricks, scoring about the same as people doing the fakie equivalent.
Shane was scored criminally low in this contest. A switch big heel is an 8.8 in the section with bails allowed but a nollie backside heel is a 7.8 in the section you can’t really bail... what the hell is that???

0:24 that was probably one of the most impressive tricks I’ll see in this whole video & it wasn’t even part of this contest. I’ve never seen someone do a 180 switch crook fs 180 out. Can’t believe I’ve never seen someone else do it cuz that was one of the dopest looking tricks

Can anyone help, I'm chasing the video where Nyjah wins with a massive hardflip at the very end on his very last try. He even stopped at the edge and rolled up to it a second time just to be sure and he nailed it. I wanna say around 2013 era?

I get at this point people were getting a little tired of Nyjah winning, but to boo someone whose out there crushing it, that’s really fuvked up, boo the judges, not the competitors, arguably Shane should’ve won this one, but Nyjah definitely deserved to be somewhere in the top
People all ways seem to notice when the judges "favoring" Nyjah. But what about Nyjah sw front blunt 8.3 and P-Rod sw bs tail 8.1. A sw front blunt should be at least a full point better than a sw bs tail.
Over all the judges did good in this competition as a whole. :)
Well, when even the crowd starts to boo every time the jury is judging Luan, I'd expect them to start rethinking their actions. No offense to Nyjah, he truly is a great skateboarder, but I think it's just not fair how they always downgrade Luan. Just my opinion.
I think a good way to explain bolts in lemans term, is landing on your board like his or her feet is attached to a snowboard.

No way in hell Berger’s first run score was supposed to be a 6.0. Bastien got a 6.3 with 1 fall but his backside flip was within the time. Berger had one fall, about the same amount of tricks & his backside flip wasn’t during time. Only a 0.3 difference? I call BS. His landed tricks weren’t any more difficult than Bastien’s either. He should’ve been at least a full point lower than Bastien
