We made a 2 day visit to "Magnolia Land" back last November. My wife got "hooked" watching Fixer Upper while on the treadmill at the gym. I was more impressed with the dream come to life. We bought a few things. I was impressed with Clint Harp's work and visited his place closer in town. Fun, solid people who share their standards of "home".
I just love these two wonderful people and how they are raising their kids with sensible values. Wish I have the money to bring them into my home to do a fixer upper. God bless them.

My sister and I took a road trip to Texas in 2019 and went first to Waco to see the Gains's place . Jo is sweet and humble and beautiful and Chip is so funny and will try about anything ..darling personalities ! He's handsome too , they are a great couple !

While I’m tired of what has become her signature design style, I have always appreciated the Gaines duo. They come across as grounded and intelligent, and they appear to not have let the fame go to their heads. You can also tell (if we’re to believe their public persona, and I hope we can) that they are still very much in love and get along so well. If I could, I’d order my own Jo and wouldn’t even ask for a discount code.
She is a genius. He's a buffoon and the number of times that we changed channel when he was being silly, stupid and showing off are too many to count. Stopped watching the show entirely because of him.
Chip is a perpetual Peter Pan, which can be cute and endearing but under the wrong circumstances, a Peter Pan can be frustrating and useless at times. It takes a special kind of woman to understand that and allow him to be himself, not expect to change him into something he is not, and not get angry when he isn't the focused and totally responsible adult needed from time to time. I like them too, but I was getting a little tired of "shabby-chic" and the farmhouse-look so I was especially excited whenever they took on an unusual project. They are both kind people, but so are the Scott Brothers and others
I want to go there and see everything they have done!! It's Wonderful what they are doing to spruce up their own town!! I think we All can contribute to our own towns and keep them viable!! We especially need to do this in this 2021 political and economic climate we are in right now. We don't want America and American towns and cities to fall into disrepair. That will create crime havens and "no go zones," which we do not want. We want to Keep America standing!!!

Yeah, but I believe the open concept design is more of a fad. I think people will eventually want their privacy back. I hate the idea of someone seeing through my entire first floor from the front door. I see safety issues with it.

My wife and I thought about moving to the Waco area after we retired. I love Texas and enjoyed several years in San Antonio while in the Air Force and after retiring at Wilford Hall Medical Center. We thought how cool it would be to have Chip and Joanna Gaines flip our retirement home. Whenever Fixer Upper came on HGTV we were glued to the many hours and never tired of watching them do house after house. The positive energy, the awesome talents of each and the joy they brought to the home buyers was simply infectious.
Loved their show. Finally got to go to their store in Waco, Texas. Was disappointed though that the stuff I bought from the store was made in China. Sad because I thought the things sold in their store in Waco, would have been made in the USA.
I'm really happy that a talented, likable & hard working couple gets the recognition they deserve. Unlike some A-listers who don't have talent, don't have any real skill yet still get recognition I don't think they deserve (you know who they are). I'm just really happy for them =)
I am asking the Baptists to please feed the additional homeless due to Covid. Also could Chip and Joanna build a tiny house village for the homeless in Waco.

I love them too. But a sad fact is that they don't live for God. They sayed in a Interview with Oprah that they don't read the Bible and only go to church becouse they get that good feeling and thats what's matters. I mean that's soo wrong that's a lukewarm christain. I was so sad to hear about that. I love them so much and wish thy find their way to God and truly live for him. 🙏😊

What a great couple and family. Always liked watching their show for ideas. I pass thru Waco quite a bit but usually during football season so I don’t stop. One of these days I do plan to stop at their store. Great job and a wholesome good family show. Keep up the good work.

I’m contacting them about opening an animal shelter in Waco. They have rescued many animals and they give them amazing lives.
They're awesome. I'm sad to learn they wrap up their show in 2019. I wonder how many more episodes of Fixer Upper we'll see before it's the end :(
Chip is a funny character and Joanna is working hard at keeping him under control and it never works, that's what makes them America's funniest couple in my opinion.

🇨🇦 This absolutely wonderful hard working family deserves EVERYTHING they've worked so hard for! I love them so much! They are just such a down to earth couple that quite obviously haven't let their game or fortune change them! They are just as kind, friendly and humble as they were when they first started! Seriously, talk about a sweet couple and their family. Can't help but love them and want to hug each of them. Their children are such well rounded, polite kids as well. Great people! Great parents! Sooooo happy their show goes on!
Down here in Paraguay, South América, we do Love Joanna and Chip.. They are by far the Best in evrything They do... Plus They are like the family next Door that you can relate to..
They are a great couple. I hardly ever watch these kind of shows but they are very entertaining and down to earth. You feel like you can just walk up to him and say hi and not be intruding. Aloha
Its mind boggling how they changed Waco. They now have tour busses and traffic out the wazoo. It's just nuts how two people can change the world.
