    I love that you did this video because I think that oftentimes when we look up to someone, their opinions affect us. I love Versace Dylan Blue and just picked up a full bottle. But I have to admit, watching that video made me almost second guess whether I liked it or not, if that makes sense. And I know exactly who you're talking about. I thought it was ridiculous when she vocally trashed and basically begged everyone not to buy idole. That was a bit much. She also went off on my juicy couture. I still rock some of the viva la juicy and juicy couture. However, some people get so into niche that they become snobs to scents. So I say, try things anyway and form your own opinion. I myself am finding that as I get more into niche I can't do some of my favorite celebrity scents anymore. My pallet is changing.

    • @rebecacollazo
      @rebecacollazo  4 роки тому +4

      Girl I still rock them too, lol. I will say that my tastes are changing but more so because I am starting to pick up notes I never used too. I started dipping my toes into niche but even then I’m still drawn to more popular feminine niche perfumes like Delina and just the PDM house in general. I haven’t quite found any loves yet from sample sets that I have picked up from a few others. But I agree just try it out and form your own opinion and if you don’t like it, there is a constructive way to say it 💕

    I agree with you 1000%. The breakdown you gave for Idole was spot on! Every product whether it be a fragrance or fruit snack has a target audience. The safest way to decide on a fragrance is to get a sample! Fragrance is so personal and attached to memories in my opinion. A fragrance performance can also depend on how and what you moisture your skin with. Overall great video!

      tblu B. I feel the same about Mon Guerlain! I like it, but I’m not head over heels in love with it. I like watching videos like that to hear different perspectives, but saying a fragrance is “terrible” and telling people not to buy it because you don’t like it? That’s a little extreme. I honestly wasn’t expecting that from her when I clicked on the video, but she surprised me, lol. I love all these! I am young (20) and cannot afford niche nor do I want niche, my nose cannot handle all those strong oud scents 😷 I also could never justify spending $200+ dollars on a perfume, having grown up poor. I always buy on either fragrancenet or through Mercari! I love my designer florals! Some of my favorite scents are by Jo Malone (not sure if that's niche but hey I pay under $90 for full sizes).

      @rebecacollazo  4 роки тому +3

      I love FragranceNet! I do think they offer niche too but I agree, it’s hard to justify spending that much money on a scent which is why some ppl love it because of the exclusivity. I think Jo Malone was niche but I believe is now owned by Estée Lauder. Thanks for watching and sharing 💕

    • @lobi5104

      The only difference between niche and designer is that niche houses make fragrances ONLY whereas designer perfumes are from brands that design luxury items (clothes, shoes, purses etc.) as well as fragrance. There are expensive designer fragrances ex. Tom Ford. And there are affordable niche fragrances ex. Tocca. Niche has nothing to do with price. Don't believe the hype! (Also. Yes, Jo Malone is niche. They exclusively design fragrances.)

    Even though I’m not the target for a perfume, I wish I could wear it without being underwhelmed by it. Idôle is one of them. It smells amazing in the bottle but it smells like nothing on my skin. It’s now sitting in the bedtime bin. Dylan Blue is the same for me. Terrific in the bottle but gone after 2 hours. It’s all body chemistry I know that! 🙂 But still... I wish they were a notch better. I agree with you about Libre. It is not boring, nor is it a typical citrusy white floral. Neither you nor the other reviewer mentioned that it is a fougere, which is a rather uncommon category in women's perfumes, these days. This perfume projects, it lasts, and a little goes a long way. I layer it with Ariel Grande's Moonlight (a cheapie but it works) for a softer version. There are several flankers now for people who don't vibe with a lot of lavender and orange blossom (which I find fresh), some with more vanilla. I don't like any of the flankers sofar (haven't smelled Le Parfum yet) but other people might find one that they love instead of the OG Libre.

    I have over 100 bottles of perfumes and many of them are niche scents, but I love all these scents here! Being a perfume person, it also means being open minded to other scents and how even if they may not be what you’re into, they can be great for a specific person/target group. Just like anything in life, being open minded and objective is better than always being subjective and close minded. Idole for me is such a flirty scent and very youthful!! You don’t need to always be dipped in oud and tobacco and vanilla. Maybe, everyone who swears they’re so different are the real basic ones !!! Please wear what you want !

      I do want to try Sì Passione in hotter weather. I only really tested it out in winter and I know temperature play a role in some perfumes ❤️ It really is a lovely scent it just doesn’t last or project on me.
      Yes, I have had perfumes that I enjoyed and had to pass on because they gave me a headache 🤕
      Thank you for watching and sharing!

    I love this! She doesn’t deserve the followers she has. She’s just obnoxious and self righteous. I’ve tried several of the fragrances she loves and raves about and I thought they were just awful. I guarantee I would not enjoy smelling her if she walked by me 😂

    I'm in my 20s but I don't live that Lancome perfume. I really bought it because of the packaging since it's so unique. But I like more complex smells and it smells really basic to me. I do think it's a good one to give as a gift because most people will like it.

      Yes, definitely not complex and it is mass appealing so it’s an easy gift idea. I liked more complex at a young age too but love my easy grabs 🥰 Thanks for sharing 💕

    Heyyy! How are you? I’m so very interested in Dylan Blue! I always hear it’s “basic” so I’m so hesitant. But I trust you since we like the same perfumes so I’m going to order it. I have a recommendation for you though! Versace Eros pour femme! Omg! It’s amazing. The edt is beautiful! But I also bought the edp too. You just have to try it 💜

      Giirl! I haven’t heard from you in a minute, lol. I am well, hope you are too! I have Versace Eros EDP, I tried her once and she gave me Tommy Bahama vibes but I’ve been meaning to pull her out now that it is warm. I hear the EDT is prettier, do you find them to be different?

      Rebeca Collazo I know right! I’ve been trying to get my life together in this craziness of covid 19! But I am well too! The edt is much, much better. It’s fresher, brighter and fruitier and sexier 💃🏽. I’m excited to buy Dylan blue. I will check in and let you know how I like it!

      Keona Hawkins I just ordered Versace eros pour femme edp and I've seen mixed reviews because they say the edt is better so u give me hope about the edp

    • @Keonahawk24

      Niccole Daniels I honestly like both. The edt is fresher and fruitier. But the edp is more adult. So edt is good for office, brunch, daytime wear. Edp is wonderful at night time and date nights. I don’t think you’ll regret your purchase.

    I have Dylan Blue and I’m enjoying it for sure. I think the other perfume Demi had not so nice things to say about was Dior Joy which is on my list so sniff.

    Si passione I find it comes off strong with an incense note..which I'm not a fan of but when I smell it in someone else its nice..versace dylan I like as well but its alil masculine...Ysl libre I find the lavender alil off putting but I might give it another chance...lancome idole is nice but not different...thank you for your review on these...I might try ysl libre again and wait until the dry down🙂

    • @rebecacollazo
      @rebecacollazo  4 роки тому +1

      Yea, I found it to be strong too (Libre)! But I always try a perfume a few times maybe even a week before writing it off, unless I know right away it won’t work out because maybe it gave me a headache or there is a note I just don’t like and it picks up heavy on my skin. Dylan Blue does pull unisex to me but I like that. My skin gobbles Passione right up 😂 You will have to let me know if your mind changes about Libre. Thanks for watching and sharing! 💕
