Aaah, the common Aires too wide cockpit tub for the kit, along with the monster slab of resin at the bottom. All the detail they put into those resin pieces is not worth the pain and agony to make them fit. You should see their 1/32 F-104 cockpit and how wide it is. Thanks for doing these videos, really helpful.
It sems to be a common theme with them. That's the only option for an upgrade though for this kit, unless you use Eduard PE, which I don't like for cockpits much.
Great progress. What is up with Aries? Personally as far as after market kits. I've only used decal kits, some Eduard cockpit photo etch, or variouse manufacturers 3-D instrument decals. I've never used Resin aftermarket sets. Oh wait I have but they were stowage sets for 1/35 scale vehicles.
Yeah, I'm not sure on their process but some can be difficult, I remember doing the F-100 Super Sabre and it was very difficult getting it to fit, but that was many years ago now, so I may have less issues with it next time around. I like the newer d style decals, but there are none for the A-7
There is not a lot of AM to choose from for the Hobby Boss kit, heaps for the Hasegawa, A resin seat is definitely a good upgrade, but I would prefer the resin cockpit over colour PE, I don't like PE, it's still 2 dimensional despite the colour, and honestly, it doesn't always fit either

I would never buy arires. Way too expensive to not fit right. I would rather get a seat and one of the color resin sets.
