I am probably not among the top 10000 chess players in India. I have a 3-0 record in lichess against the top player in cameroon who is not even 2100. I hope you stay the course to help.develop chess in your country. In india it took multiple generations of effort to get the first GM. We also ignore nowadays the relation between Indian leftists and the USSR which is why the first Indian GMs are from Tamil Nadu and Bengal. It will take time but your country can get there.
He’s really persistent. Prag was dying for air. Carlsen played so consistently in his advances. That was really entertaining. I really respect Prag. I’m still trying not to blunder my king 😁.
Its amazing how at my level pawns are non existant until all the other pieces are gone, but at high level chess a war like this can be centered around a single pawn.
I think the idea, and I’m not going to claim that I can come close to analysing this level of chess, Is that you want to build advantages based on what the board tells you. At a beginner level which is also me, we tend to look for tactics. On amateur level to IM chess level, you look for positional advantage based on imbalances I.e. maximising your advantages before your opponent can do the same and minimising what your opponent has before they do the same to you as well as a pretty good knowledge on endgame. This is because if you have a good position tactics will naturally follow. And at GM, there’s all of that but a better and a seamless connection between those concepts and Endgame and a level of mastery that allows you break rules at times. In my opinion Carlson is just the best reader of the board in the world right now. That language is what I define as strong.
To be fair, Magnus didn't give up that pawn for an advantage, he simply forgot it could be captured lol, check out his in-game reaction. Luckily it didn't matter as Black's position was far too strong by then anyways.
I personally think a world champion wont miss that in an important game as such, maybe he's just surprised that his opponent played rxb2 instead of other "better" move?
Love everything about agadmator and his videos, the way he gives some context to the matches, the way engages with the audience even tho it’s not live, I’m also a big fan of the quotes at the top. Thanks for all the videos
Amazing how Magnus keep defending the pawn for so long. This type of wins appeals to me way more than a crazy sicilian. Love the way he nurtures that slight advantage of a passed pawn into a decisive factor
Pragg blundered due to time pressure.Magnus is very difficult to beat specially at end game. That pawn push and isolated pass pawn made the difference psychologically
Funny how so much play came from just keeping that one pawn alive. As Lao Tzu said" before one can lead an army one must be able to cook a small fish "
Magnus reaction after Prag captured the pawn was quite nice. He thought he would mate Prag the next move and forgot about the pawn 😅 luckely still winning

Wow I finally was able to figure out the series of moves at 12:25 just coz i see that the white king can be checked and the white rook and bishop can get attacked by the black queen on d1.
I don't know if this happens to anyone else. So in Today's pause the moment, i figured out the exact combination of moves in like 2-3minutes, but am pretty sure if I were playing the same position in a tournament, I probably would'nt have noticed. Only after Agad tells me, there is a brilliant move, to fimd, I'm tuning my brain to "find" it. Otherwise, I would have been playing a more usual move i suppose. So I'm only looking for stuff if someone tells there seems to be a grat move in this position.
After black plays Rc8, white has Bb3 and if Rc1, then Bd1 blocking….maybe it wouldn’t make any difference in the long run, but it would have prolonged the game some
At 3:15, if Black had played Rook f8-c8 instead, why can't Black just capture Bishop x c3? White will have to trade queens and pawns a7, b7 remain intact.
Ppl had too much expectations on him :) cmon man he still need to grow.. Magnus was on different level.. yes sometimes u can do some lucky blow but not everyday 🤣🙏
