Thank you for uploading this. I haven’t heard this version before. The version I’ve heard stars david calder and Toby jones as the Inspector which I’d highly recommend but it’s nice to hear another version
Yes, I think the Toby Jones version was a Saturday Drama circa 2010. I'm familiar with multiple versions and fond of seeing very different actors treat the character differently - though in the case of Bob Peck I've a feeling that he'd been playing the character on stage in a successful early 1990s production. Bernard Hepton played him in a 1980s TV version, and most recently on TV David Thewlis did a great job. I would have loved to have heard Peter Falk play the inspector some time though, as the way his police detective Colombo always arrives unannounced at the door of a guilty person reminds me of An Inspector Calls...
@@mysteriousmagpie I love hearing different versions of radio dramas too as each cast of actors bring their own interpretations of the different roles to the dramas.
@@jwsuicides8095 Yes, I thought so. David Thewlis is expert at playing quite rancid and horrible characters and yet he can also convey incredible kindness and compassion,, as in his take on Inspector Goule...
All hail the magnificent Bob Peck, blessed be his name!
