- In this video I will be discussing the upcoming Lionel Legacy scale ET44 locomotives that were unveiled today. I will talk about all the variants offered, the features, some of my thoughts, and close out the video with what I will be ordering. Spoiler alert, these are almost vision line models but without a diecast shell, without road specific crewtalk, and without the vision line branding

I welcome these and I plan to have mine battery powered for dead rail use. I am so glad Lionel are going to do these models in O Scale. I have a small UK based O Gauge layout and these will look great on my future planned garden railway. $800 is a good price as well considering the Heljan Class 60's are £750 RRP which is about $900 in USD.
Further details... Based on the video from the Ryan and Dave show
- The ET44s will be slightly longer than the ES44 models
- The CN version will have the correct walkways with the anti-ice design
- The grills on the ET44s are all etched brass and cast brass
- They are planning to record a real ET44 for the sounds

When you got cookie cutter everything, of course it's gonna look like someone elses.
Don't think you're using that phrase right, that would suggest Lionel released an HO model that is exactly like Scale Trains. Theirs is an O Scale model with some aspects inspired from Scale Trains model of the ET44.
