- How to upload an avatar to VRChat!
1) Avatar from the video:

2) VRChat Creator Companion:

3) Poiyomi Shader
(WARNING: Your avatar might use different shaders. If you know which shader your avatar is using, try to use the provided one. However, if you don't, just continue with Poiyomi.)

I used the Poiyomi Shader because it's simple to use and compatible with most avatars. Of course, many avatars come with their own specific shaders, and it's usually best to use the ones intended for them. However, this video is more of a universal 'How to Upload an Avatar' guide. :)
If you have any questions, let me know by leaving a comment. I might do a follow up video, or answer the question through the comments!
UPDATE:
How to Make Your Avatar Quest Compatible
ua-cam.com/video/s92rD7PIe2g/v-deo.html
So question I have a quest does this method work the same way if I’m doing a quest compatible avatar?
@@Marie11-u6z When creating the PC version, yes, but if you want to make it Quest-compatible, you need to switch the "Windows" button to "Android" (3:16). Also, you can't use Poiyomi (2:22). Instead, you need to select either "Standard Lite" or "Toon Lit," depending on which you think looks better. This COULD be enough to make your avatar Quest-compatible but VRChat might tell you to remove more things from your avatar etc.
I can make a video on that as well if you want
@@WamiiEN if you don’t mind making video about it that would help me a lot 😁
If the avatar is pink on import use the shader they provided dont use poiyomi mindlessly
I said poiyomi since it works on most avatars. Often the avatar creators don't provide the original shader on import and since this video is aimed at complete beginners, poiyomi will most likely always work. But overall I agree, it's always better to use the original shader if you know where to find it.
Edit: I added a small 'warning' in the description ^^
Hi! I have a question about after the avatar is uploaded. Will it be added somewhere in your avatars section inside of VRChat? Or do you have to save it? Also, will people be able to clone your avatar if it's private, but your cloning is on?
The avatar will have its own section called something like "uploaded avatars" so you don't need to save it anymore. Also, if you put your avatar on private, no one can clone it, even when you have cloning enabled in-game
@@WamiiEN Thank you!
