As someone who dated a lifeguard, never go in the ocean without a life jacket……NEVER! In the Bahamas, I was on a boat that overturned & thank God I did what my lifeguard man always suggests…..I wore a life jacket.

nomi, the mom and seasoned traveler in me was a little panicked for you. only you on the boat. no body else. did anyone know where you were? good thing he was a good guy, but from the outside looking in it looked like it could have also gone very bad. travelling is awesome, but be safe. always think about your safety first. please. there are lots of good people out there in your travels but i have unfortunately encountered a couple of thugs in my travels also. sorry to be a downer but i worried for your safety as i was watching your video and i felt the need to let you know. looks like your really enjoyed thailand. glad you had a good adventure.

Sitting in the front of a boat going upriver into the Belize jungle to see Aztec ruins I introduced myself to the 20 something young women next to me. Turns out she was from the same small town in Michigan I lived in! I’m amazed at how big yet small our world can be! Thank you for the tour, absolutely stunning!

To prevent sea sickness look at the horizon as it’s the only thing standing still. Dramamine also helps as well as patches that go behind your ears.
And carry some chips or crackers. Salty things help with boat nausea.
