Beautiful video. I'm glad that you had such a good time and that you appreciate the value of what an experience like this means. One of the best ways for a person to grow is to broaden their horizon and learn about and experience things different from what we are used to. All the best to you.
Thank you very much. This was an unforgettable journey, I've learn things that I will never learn from other experiences, it is really a once in a lifetime experience, I'm really grateful about it.
What a beautiful vlog, i can see you appreciate this experience and you are enjoy the environment with your new friends. You are always welcome in the Netherlands.
I loved the video! I´m also going for an exhange year in the Netherlands and I feel like it's the country I want to go to the most. Are there things you wished you knew before going there or any tips for someone going to the Netherlands?
From my experience there wasn't much unexpected things, maybe the rainy weather (which is annoying when you need to cycle to school) or their meals (they basically eat breads/ packed sandwiches for lunch). I think the most important thing before going is to just keep an open mind and accept and learn from the environment. Try to fully immerse to the Culture. Also learning the language before going there would be beneficial, but you would learn it really fast when you are in that environment where you are surrounded by it.
hii, this is a lovely video first of all. i'll prob. going for an exchange year next year but i didn't decide which country yet. I thought about Netherlands too but since im a Turkish person and ive heard of them being kinda racist toward us, im not sure. Its not the same for everyone ofc but i wonder your thought abt this
In general it's quite safe. Depending on where in the city you are, it might differ a bit. The city center is always full of students and it's quite vibrant in the day and night.
Hiii! I love your vlog! Im from Hong Kong too and I'm planning to join this program too! But I don't know if my grades are enough to get accepted. So do I need to have high grades to get accepted to this program?
Grade are not really main criteria to get accepted to this program. They care more about your personality (open-mindedness) and your willingness to go on a new expereince, to adapt to a new culture and meet now people (through group projects and interview). Grades are only for references, as long decent it would not be a big problem. :)
There aren't many requirements, as long as you meet the requirements. There is an interview, but as long as you are eager to go on an exchange year and you are able to manage yourself, that would be good enough.
I can't remember specifically, but the whole purpose of the interview is just to know whether you are really willing to do such exchange year, therefore don't worry too much.
1:04 they started doing the griddy. Didn' t know you were chill like that.
You’ve made a very nice vlog!! my son is going to NL 2023 with AFS as well !!

@@skychanao I hope so! Cause my grades are pretty bad except for my English. Tysm!
❤️
Is there any eligibility for me to have so that I'll be able to apply for an afs program??
There aren't many requirements, as long as you meet the requirements. There is an interview, but as long as you are eager to go on an exchange year and you are able to manage yourself, that would be good enough.
@@skychanao can you tell me some of the requirements or sample of questions that they asked during the interview that'll help me so much !!
