I think giving the tracks your own spin would be a good idea, both adding extra features and just tweaking them so it flows well since most of the bad transitions are probably just drawing mistakes anyways, and on top of all that seeing what things you add makes it more interesting for the people drawing. TLDR do what you want.
@@OriginalPiMan Certainly agree, Though in this particular case, maybe those windows he considered might have been too much, it was already so devious, despite how simple it seemed xD
I think you should add what you want to the track. Obviously anyone can just *make* a track, and just having you make their tracks alone is less appealing than seeing what you basically do by working together. People draw the base of the course, and you keep the spirit of their track, while adding to it. Like the finish being lower: that's not on the drawing, but definitely made it better. It's like a collab track!
I believe that everyone who makes a suggestion should either say they personally agree to their map having stuff added or they think it would be more interesting if it's "vanilla". Or even have designated places where they'd like to see improvements/additions from you.
Kosmo, I have to say: You were the first UA-camr I watched play Zeepkist, and you got me hooked! (Now I’m hooked on kAN, ScrapMan, and Dapper as well!!) I got this game and immediately fell in love and you guys all make the game a special place, and especially you! You put 110% into every track you build, and now you have this awesome series. Keep it up!
This really reminds me of Scrapman’s “you draw I build” series! This overall is a great idea, and a great way to interact with your community, make them feel like they are part of your career!
Pretty sure that is where he got the idea from (but at the same time by doing it in zeepkist, when scrapman does it in scrap mechanic, does make it different enough
Loved that you recorded with the drawer himself! Personally, I like it when you try to stick as close to the original as possible! I think it's a fun challenge and even if there are weird quirks like bad transitions that's fun too!
Giving the tracks your own spin is a good idea, especially with more vague/rough sketches. This one however is a pretty solid concept, so unless you extend it with more crests, maybe a corner or something this doesn't really need to be expanded further. Only thing I would have considered was to make it way wider, so people can approach the crests at an angle instead of only braking for them.
This straight track gave me an idea. You could make an incredibly long track (straight or redirected with curves and boosters) that gives the afk like a 3-4 min finish (maybe even 8 minutes if you guys actually decide to try for a slow finishes theme). Just an idea to supplement another track if you got time to spare and like the idea.
I really like this one! DNF’d but got a 28.7 in the second round, after recording. I think it’d be cool if you’d give your own spin on the designs, the windows were a great idea
gotta say kos, i liked you since you started noob vs pro with kan. but recently the quality of your videos and your "pillow talk" has been getting better and better and ive been enjoying it more and more. gj.
I feel like it is fine to add your own touches to the tracks. But you should definitely always give a full test run display of the OG design before you add things. And tweaking the designs of a track to follow the spirit (and feasibility) is always a good idea
As long as it Follows the theme of the drawn track, it is totally fair to put a bit of your own spin on it, like those windows you considered in this track And what a simple, yet devious track this ended up being. Also really like have the person doing the drawing with you on voice, certainly do more of that when possible, and ofc the other person being willing
You should put the podium to show the perspective of the drawing to see the text on the sign. Also I love your level designs, I think you should put your own touch to the track, at least with some scenery.
Both! Make two tracks. One is a copy with only tweaks to make it playable. The other is adding your own spin to them however you see fit. This might also be nice for new players to see what they should be doing to make their tracks more fun.
To answer your question, I love when you follow peoples instructions 1:1 (as much as possible). This way we can make fun of peoples horrible drawings and sudden harsh turns. However...with such a detailed blueprint for this track, I like to see you add a touch to it bcz it makes the video less boring for dry-cut 1 drawing instruction tracks. In the end, do what you want. I enjoy it all :)
I think it would be cool if you did two phases. 1st build exactly what’s drawn and maybe fix small issues and then build a 2nd version which you put your own touch on.
I'd say, first build the track as close to the drawing as you can, then show us in the editor whats wrong with it or how you'd improve it (like you did in this video) and then add your own spin. Also it would be nice to add the requesters name to the track either on the map if possible or on the track name (this one would be 'Kosmo&Mokster's YDIB #2')
Add yr flair unless it doesn’t need it. How about a jam combining THREE suggested ideas from different people into ONE track. Then if you’re inspired by someone’s idea you could be one of the three and add your “flair” ..call the series concept 3to1..Go!
Kosmo I'm gonna draw you something but sadly I'm unsure if I'll be able to actually play it because my PC is currently undergoing surgery... Bought a really nice Nvidia RTX 2080ti and long story short.. hah.. short... Yeah I did something wrong and it arced and then caught on fire so it's getting fixed right now lol.. so I'm waiting for another RTX to come in the mail. I hope you don't mind like a straight up technical drawing of the track, I'm probably just gonna use Photoshop on my laptop.
@@lunar_electro thanks for the advice. Originally it was just supposed to be temporary and I didn't pay a lot for it, my brother got one just for lighter work loads and he liked it so I bought one but it's been months and still not showed up. The tracking thing says it shipped but it's stuck in some port I can't pronounce or spell I think. I'm probably just going to bite the bullet save up AGAIN and buy something decently nice. Not extreme but definitely slightly above average, but I still need to do some research so yeah advice is much appreciated.
@@lunar_electro essentially I'm probably just going to write my entire planned setup off and use what I can sell what I can't and kinda salvage the situation with something that's honestly probably better and not too much more expensive now that I've been waiting a freaking YEAR...

I think following the spirit of the design is more important than the exact image.
I totally agree.
bruh, just a couple days ago I made a program to make the mandelbrot set

Well spoken. Also lol for the zeepkist person.

Perfect solution, nice and simple
THIS!

I mean yeah, ofc it's gonna remind u of it, it's literally the exact same concept
Pretty sure that is where he got the idea from (but at the same time by doing it in zeepkist, when scrapman does it in scrap mechanic, does make it different enough

So fun seeing different people on voice. Awesome video as always
12:21 jeeeeeeez dude Pommes was flying thru there! Props man I can't do that stuff lol..
I say try and keep it close to what they draw, but add some small touches that make it your own as well.

Maybe you should put the names of the drawers in the track title. It's also really cool that you got the person who drew it to record with you.
These series are amazing, connecting with your audience and giving them exposure on your platform. Good job man, its a win win for everyone.
Touch it up as you please. I really liked the way you did the first one. Multiple combined, and adding things.
Love this series! Especially getting the original artist to join the recording. Your videos are getting better and better! great job!

not gonna lie, you had me in the first half! For a second I thought I was about to get roasted 🤣 I appreciate the comment, Dane! :)
I like this track. It's fun to see technical driving come into play in such a simple way. Really forces you to optimize.
I feel like it is fine to add your own touches to the tracks. But you should definitely always give a full test run display of the OG design before you add things. And tweaking the designs of a track to follow the spirit (and feasibility) is always a good idea
It cool you got Mokster in the video. Nice track!

Give it your spin

6:40 I'd say have the person providing the blueprint have the final say on if you should modify their designs.
Make it work first, then make it fancy.
6:58
Thank you very much!
I just wanted to write this.
This should be a theme one week for your Monday/Thursday videos. Everyone builds a track based on a fan drawing.
Both!
Make two tracks.
One is a copy with only tweaks to make it playable.
The other is adding your own spin to them however you see fit.
This might also be nice for new players to see what they should be doing to make their tracks more fun.
Adding your own touches is a slippery slope. Before you know it, you transformed the blueprint into an (unbeatable) KACKY-Map.

You are the builder that uses Ideas. If you think your touch makes it better, just do it! It's not like you accepted a comission for the track ^^
breaking tracks like this are interesting, all the skill comes in breaking the minimum amount necessary
Very cool track Mokster.
Just wish we could see the best time in the outro, though.
Rare to see a UA-camr hop on a call with a random fan for a whole video
if the track works as is, I'd say keep it vanilla, but if it needs interpretation then definitely add your own spins like with that combo track.
Really like the energy you bring to your content! Good stuff /
I think it would be cool if you did two phases. 1st build exactly what’s drawn and maybe fix small issues and then build a 2nd version which you put your own touch on.
i think it's better to ask the one who draws it if they'd like you to add things to it or not
I think you should build 2 tracks. The first according to the drawing, and the second, you go all Kosmo on it.
Solidworks is the 5th horseman of the apocalypse.
... 'bye'
Definitely make modifying the tracks up to the designers themselves
need more tracks that feel like a01 trackmania, simple but full of optimization
You can make two versions of the tracks. Original and your own spin.
Yes, always add your own touch! never plaguarize! lol
How are you doing the Box Select? Is it in the game or a mod???
I think you should place breake signs as a warning and an obstacle. Ovs you can't do it now but yeah I think that would have been cool
this reminds me of the world record tallest water slide that killed somebody
but what if it was ice? >= 3
im interested in a kosmo twist but also suffering XD
that thumbnail is siiiick!
Why not both
I did this with downward fans and it ended up being boring, congrats on a simple fun track!!
Def add the Kosmo touch to each track
I'd say adding small flares should be fine like those windows but that's just my opinion
You should add some more of ur flare
I've seen his videos. You guys should hang out some more and come up with some cool tracks.
I'd say, first build the track as close to the drawing as you can, then show us in the editor whats wrong with it or how you'd improve it (like you did in this video) and then add your own spin. Kosmu, I has vodka of the potat variety. Na Zdravia buddy! 🥂
I would have made one of the checkpoints in the air so you need to jump to reach it.
if the idea's of the drawer is a bit empty like this one, you can at some flair
i think you should change some bits of the tracks but not enough to really notice it
Make the suicide deathcoaster! Or at least the end of a track with it :)
Your track, your video, their ideas, so add in your take on it as well. :)
You should ask for little aditions in discord then build the aditions from discord
Anyone notice the "Learn to Fly" font he used for the "You draw, I build" intro?
To be honest i think its better to add your own little touches if the track is too easy
you shuld invite the boys to play the track next vid
Ask the creators if they want you to do your own spins on it. If so, say what you want to do, and ask if thats a good idea for them
build things exactly like they are bluprinted
build with your interpretation of the drawings
Add yr flair unless it doesn’t need it.
How about a jam combining THREE suggested ideas from different people into ONE track. Then if you’re inspired by someone’s idea you could be one of the three and add your “flair” ..call the series concept 3to1..Go!
I'm surprised at how many people actually know about trackmania
"Bootyfull" Kosmo, 2022
You should make a one they asked for and one with a twist
Who were you talking to
Kosmo I'm gonna draw you something but sadly I'm unsure if I'll be able to actually play it because my PC is currently undergoing surgery... Please buy a 30 series card or AMD 6000, 20 series is kind of dead now and it is bad value for money. Just a PC builder here.

15:02 I went to space
Did you actually
You should add your own spin but dont make it a major difference
makes sence
I agree
the flair should be per submission. The the submitter choose
build as described. play. then do another video series with modded build as drawn.
Today is my birthday and i got a graphic tablet so i'll be able to participate :)
Yes
I say build them as is and if they’re to easy then change ‘em
This track reminds me of euthanasia coaster.
Needs more loops to be euthanasia.
Can y’all do a challenge with no boosters with you and
WAHOOOOO!
Maybe let the creator decide? like in the drawing get them to say yes or no...
Hi Kosmo
YDIM
No to cats, doorways or changes to drawing
one of your touches, is fine. more than one, is not as good.
