It occurs to me while watching this video how ironic it is that I pay for UA-cam premium so I don’t have to watch ads, but what have I been watching for the past 45 minutes? L O L. thanks for this little trip down memory lane.
Awesome! As a Freshman in highschool, my first class of the day was typing...on a slectric. It was freezing cold in the room and we used those little tapes to correct mistakes LOL. I think I got an S plus in typing Don't even get me started on shorthand; that was in the other building
Rexall commercials were made specifically for the Hanna-Barbera "Alice in Wonderland" special. The characters were voiced by Janet Waldo, Howard Morris, Harvey Korman, and Daws Butler.
Yep! They sponsored the first half of that special [March 30, 1966]; Coke sponsored the second half, but no "integrated" ads featuring the cast were produced for them.
1960s commercials featured these notable voiceovers-Norman Rose, Danny Dark, Gerald Mohr, Stu Bergman, Len Maxwell, Peter Thomas, Olan Soule, Fred Collins, Mel Brandt, Ray Scott.
1:31 - The first of two Rexall ads that were created to air during the Hanna-Barbera production Alice in Wonderland. The first features Janet Waldo as the voice of Alice and Howard Morris as the White Rabbit. (Thanks to Oofus Twillip below for mentioning them first.) 2:32 - Look for Herb Voland at 2:57 in the Sucaryl spot. 5:42 - The second Rexall ad, featuring Waldo and Morris, along with Daws Butler and Harvey Korman. 7:41 - Norman Rose does the voiceover on the Bold detergent commercial. 13:19 - Anita Bryant and The Brothers Four for Coca-Cola. 15:17 - Dick Wilson as Mr. Whipple and Bo Swenson as Tex in the Charmin spot. 18:51 - Boris Karloff for Butter-Nut coffee. 21:54 - The original Mr. Clean commercial, featuring the familiar jingle sung by Don Cherry and Betty Bryan. (It's one of several 1950s commercials on this video.) 23:38 - Rosemary Elliot appears at 23:51 in the Faultless spray starch ad, and Dick Tufeld does the voiceover. 25:10 - I believe that's former Playboy Playmate Dianne Chandler as "Beth" at 25:28 in the Old Spice commercial. 27:15 - John Cameron Swayze for Timex watches. 28:58 - Ozzie, Harriet, David and Ricky Nelson for Kodak. 31:40 - Don Adams for Texaco Sky Chief gasoline. 36:49 - Norman Rose again, this time on the voiceover for Curad bandages. 38:34 - Elizabeth Montgomery for Clairol Kindness spray conditioner. 39:03 - Bob McFadden and Dena Dietrich for Awake frozen breakfast drink. 40:35 - Dave Madden does the voiceover on the ad for Carnation Instant Breakfast. 48:12 - Daws Butler as Quisp and William Conrad as the voice of Quake in that commercial for their cereals, with Paul Frees on the voiceover at the end. 49:16 - An alternate version of the Mr. Clean ad from 21:54. 51:20 - A combined commercial for Quisp, Quake and Quangaroos cereals with Daws Butler as Quisp and Paul Frees doing double duty as both Simon and the voiceover announcer. 55:31 - Maggie Peterson as Mrs. Jones in the Bold detergent ad. 56:34 - Phil Silvers, with Robert Strauss as the policeman, in the commercial for Pream non-dairy coffee creamer.
I am watching all the episodes of Mad Men and these commercials are just like the show . All they need to have on here would be a Mystery Date commercial.
Pringles aren't like that anymore. Half of them are broken. And I sure wish my mother used Curad She always used Band Aid. And she would rip off the thing. That hurt like Hell too.

1:02:24- It 's *not* Sheldon, as he was under exclusive contract to promote POST's "Cirspy Critters" cereals (as "Linus the Lionhearted"). The announcer is Len Maxwell.
By far the most uplifting commercial compilation. It truly speaks to where we were back in the mid 20th century. Lite music, family and sustaining gender roles. Modesty in living. We were sure at a high point in most of our pursuits then.
And some people had rights. There was still lynching in this "glorious" period. Ask someone who isn't white about how "great" the mid-2oth century was.
I'd love to see the peter pan peanut butter ads, coke , bud...just guessing those are off-limits ? Jiff for choosy mothers? Continental airlines....we really move our tails for you...solid gold
That Kix commercial...... something MUST be wrong with my ears for I could of swore I heard the name Joe Biden (Biden twice) in the sound FX......MUST of hit the Stolichnaya blueberry vodka too hard and I'm hearing things........

I know, right? 😂
Lol. Today’s “commercials” are annoying. Vintage ones are enjoyable. 👍🙂

I like the so-called "Old Commercials ". I remember most of them. Lots of imagination, not like now.
😂😂me too
I'm digging that jazzy Mr. Clean song 😃
Remember when ads were intended for everyone? Not just for %0.006 who needs a particular pharmaceutical.

I haven't seen a lot of these before - they're great! Thanks for posting these gems!
유튜브도 너무 많이 봐서 이젠 싫증이 나네요
Reuben Kincaid was the voice of Carnation Instant Breakfast.
Future "Partridge Family" star Dave Madden.
When I was little the only coffee I remember my parent's buying was Maxwell House. And Pringles are now fifty six years old.

Have you got the time stamps for any of the these?

1:39:28- 1:46:09 These ads were created by Thomas Scott Cadden, who also created the famous "Mr. Clean" jingle and ad campaign in 1958.
the little girl in the tost pop ups commercial is the same girl in the Lyndon Johnson count down commercial with the nuclear bomb. 3:19

Was that Maggie Peterson and Jackie Joseph in the same Bold commercial?
Yes- but not their singing voices. 😉
Susan Seaforth Hayes was in the third Mr Clean commercial.

No it was Susan Seaforth Hayes
She is I guess still on Days Of Our Lives as Julie her husband Bill Hayes passed away earlier this year.
Libby's Sloppy Joe is available in "Beef" or Pork. How bottom-of-the-gutter are your ingredients when you have to put the word "Beef" in quotes?? 9:04
