@@WatchItPlayed I’m hoping to see more of this. I don’t know if it’ll ever become standard, but I’d imagine that this is easier on the budget and prices than modular boards.
Thanks Rodney. Not sure what i would do without your amazing and easy to follow videos. It can be difficult to decipher rules when you have dyslexia and your videos make games much more accessible for me.
Here I thought I was just doing game research. I should have known better. As a fan of the Mandalorian, I have a predisposition to like this theme. But this is also a really cool looking game. It’s not overly complicated, so Therese will probably enjoy it. So this is going on the wish list. You are so good at explaining the game and keeping it interesting. Your hard work is appreciated!
Oh nice, Corey Konieczka knows who to give it to. The best How To Play in the business. Perfect. I pre-ordered the game few months ago. I've read the Rules on pdf and it's not very well made Rulebook. It's great to see an actual How To Play from the best. Start watching...
Thanks for the interest! I would be surprised if they reached out to get an updated video (and it would be a tough one to wedge into the current shooting schedule I already have :) ).
This looks fun. Reminds me of an upgraded Imperial Assault mixed with Gloomhaven. The action mechanic looks neat. Totally see playing this with my boy. He’s a big Mando fan!
Is this something i could play many times and it will always be different enough to feel like a new experience. Or is it one time run through and will feel the same ?
I always avoid trying to assess teplayabiloty for other players. There are some games people enjoy playing over and over that have the exact same board and pieces every time, and others who want news boards and piece and objectives each time. In this game there are 4 unique boards and multiple characters to mix and match, plus you unlock new ways to play each board as you go. Hope that gives you some sense of it for your own tastes.
Rodney coming thru in the clutch with another great rules explanation.....funny you put out a rules video on this Star Wars Corey game but not Rebellion......hmmmm conspiracy me thinks.....Yousa badd joo joo! lol love ya Rodney! #neverforgetRebellion!
Thematically, you can lean around corners to get a better shot. There is no line-of-sight in the game, only range to keep things quick and action packed.
It looks super fun, but we already know the ending to the first campaign, are there stories that aren't in the show?? That would be the real deal for me, I'm not sure I want an RPG that just matches pace and story with a show I've already seen
That’s something I avoid trying to assess. I find opinions on replayability can be wildly different from one person to another (some games I’d consider to have good replayability, I’ve seen others say have very little, and vice versa). I’d rather not steer you wrong based on my subjective opinion. It’s more challenging here, as I haven’t played the all the hidden material (I’m waiting to play through it with a local group), so I don’t even have my own opinion on how much replayability I feel there is personally :)
Updating my answer based on the clarification below (thanks Unexpected Games!): there are 4 story missions/maps that are fully replayable, but you later unlock missions that can be played on any map.
Even though there are hidden components that you unlock, this is not a legacy game. No components are destroyed or altered in any way. The unlockable components help introduce new mechanics as you play.
Since there is no legacy (just some things to discover as you play), it might be the right amount? Unless you *are* looking for destructible elements and such.
I don't review. I've never wanted try to assess for someone else how much fun they will have with a game (people's tastes vary so much. There are games I like that others don't and vice versa). I'd rather show how the game is played and they you can apply your own tastes to whether or not it looks like it might be a good fit for you. And there are also several excellent reviewers out there who cater to that particular need if you are seeking opinions. Either way, thanks for checking out the video!

I'm loving the influx of adventure games that are utilizing spiral books as boards. Such a great design for this hobby.
I'm a big fan of it too - very easy to set up, but still allows for thematically distinct locations.

This is probably my most anticipated game in years. It really reminds me of the old FFG days.

Rodney. Please tell us. How many box spins do you do on average or do you nail it the first time, every time?
Are you suggesting there's a possibility it's not the first time, every time? *gasp*

Do we know what size the cards are? As I'm looking at sleeves for them.
I believe they are standard Magic The Gathering sized cards, but just to forewarn you, I didn't measure.
Okay, now I want this game. Looking foward to play it myself.
I hope you get a chance to!
Oooooo I want this game.
Thanks for checking out the video Patrick!
i want to knwo why i should not share certain information with other players. is this a semi coop game?
There are optional hidden traitor rules that you can unlock later.
oh, great! it's coming :)
Very soon!
How can you shoot through an elevated building?
