She did said in an interview that sometimes Lorelai's character and her overlaps. So we can say that sometimes she's basically playing herself in the show. lol
Everyone loves to hate on Rorys storyline BUT I think it made perfect sense. It showed a kid that barely failed and got everything she wanted just for being smart face real challenges in life and not knowing how to handle it. I loved it, it was real and raw

I know what u mean, my life went in parallel with Rory's. I was (well, 'am) the same age as the caracter. .... But, i didn't have a Lorelai in my life.
No one will ever be able to replicate the chemistry, dialogues, and Simpsonesque community that the Gilmore Girls had. I’m still binge watching the show as of today.
I love Gilmore girls but like it made me so sad to see Rory spiraling downwards like with no job boyfriend and she's 32 it was sad but I think that's the point they were trying to make like she's not perfect and that's like what life actually is
Actually, if you get good education and a good start in life (opportunities, connections etc.) this is very unlikely to happen. In her case, she's been always the brightest etc. etc. editor of the Yale paper, with connections like her grandparents, never a worry about money etc., remember she went off to a presidential campaign, no less, at the end of the series... It sounds like she really had to screw up big time to not even have a job 9 years later... Surely her inability to make up her mind between Logan or no Logan cannot account for such a complete failure in every aspect of her life....? I thought this downward spiral was quite forced, unlike her dropping out of Yale back than - that was a lot more genuine and realistic imo.
gilmour girls was my favourite show till the tv channels switched when I was young. I just got netflicks so I'm rewatching every night...lol already on 4th season . I watched the reboot last year but I pretend it didn't happen now because of roarys storyline. I liked loreriels story line though.
the whole idea of that is the fact that things don’t just often fall into your lap like they do if you are young and from a wealthy family. Lets face it, Rory coasted through high school and Yale, enjoyed many opportunities that were given to her because of the Gilmores or Logan and once she became an adult, and everyone wasn’t inexplicably falling in love with her because she’s not that special, she realized that she wasnt nearly as go-getter or didnt have the work ethic she needed to have to succeed and just couldnt find success. In all of the series, we sure saw that she had leadership skills and good writing but she wasnt a very good journalist, lacking the drive and personality to be successful in that highly competitive field. The revival was on the nose about her character. A lot of young adults are struggling and to have made her successful would have been a disservice to the story, Rory is far from perfect and it was only a matter of time the world found that out, when her family connections were either irrelevant or could have helped her but she wouldn’t take advantage of them.
According to "experts in the field" *cough* my wife *cough* that's the way the writers wanted to end the show to begin with :/. Just got into the show a year ago.. I was PIISSSEEEDDDD! I'm hoping to god their politely pressured to keep going... :/
After season 6 the author left because of contract issues. They went ahead with another season without her writing, but could only last one season. This new ending is the original ending she intended 10 years ago when Rory was just about to start her career after uni.
I understand at 32 we have the brain function to be better equipped than at 22, totally get that. However, I think the writer, getting what she wanted AND waiting so long made it confusing. The issue is, as viewers, we're looking too deep. Keep it superficial. Rory did what her mom did, the end. In REAL life, in a REAL town, we'd expect better.
So the moral of the story is were doomed to make our parents mistakes? And we cant learn or even dream to change our lives for the better? Thats bullshit.
No.. i dont think I could deal with rory anymore tbh Seeing her in this state is so heartbreaking (realistic, ik, but heartbreaking) and I dont need to see her anymore What I want is more of Lorelai's and Chris' childhoods, and lorelai's pregnancy and rory's early days
i just binge watched Gilmore Girls a few months ago before finding out about these new episodes. Even then, I thought the cups were empty at times. Most because of the way Rory holds it lol
Rory's might be empty... probably because apparently Alexis hates coffee, while Lauren loves coffee as much as Lorelai, so having actual coffee in hers wasn't a problem?
I read that since Alexis hates coffee she usually has Coke or something else in hers, which I think also explains Lauren's exaggeration of "there is always coffee in MY cup"
Yeah I know. I just said her real laugh sounds different ro her Lorelai laugh :) And it really shows she's a great actress if even her laugh is completely different for the role
What i hated about the reboot is how nothing seemed to have changed. Nothing resolved it just got worst. I hoped Loreli to have had been married to Look and have a child with him, for her to get along with her mom and finally be on good terms for Rory to have found herself and maybe pursuing a new career. I hated how they wasted 10 years doing nothing...
@@mrbear1302 then that scene makes sense where Lorelai has a cup in her hand, she gets another one, and Rory says "You already have one!" LOL I love this show!

Omg they played the theme song! Also, why do all the actors/actresses look so much better in person than on the show? It's like the show made them so old-looking. It's so crazy how she is so much more quiet in person as the actress. She does such a good job being charming and vivacious on the show.
I am sorry but I hated the ending. Rory was this driven character in the original series and then on the new 4 episodes she is just this unemployed woman who is still hung up on her old flames. like hello move on? and I get it they were trying to show she isn't perfect but the ending was terrible. absolutely terrible. 😔😞
Uhm... No she was actually consistent. She cheated on Dean with Jess. She helped Dean cheat on his wife. She kissed Jess while dating Logan. And she cheated on Paul with Logan and helped Logan cheat on his fiance in the revival. I think she just has relationship issues (maybe because of the absence of a father?).
Nivart Kiyici lol when you put it like that idk what to say lol. I guess that is what I meant that in the new 4 episodes I expected her to be more mature and move on from her ex boyfriends I guess that is why I was so disappointed lol
Kamila M. I was disappointed too but I did think it was consistent. I used to think it was such a happy relaxing show. But I think it's so much deeper than what we thought. Amy said that Logan is her Christopher and I'm suspecting Jess is her Luke. Amy was just making tons of parallels. After getting used to the idea, I think it's interesting to see realistic, mistake-making characters but I was disappointed at first so I completely get why you are.
I had to come back on here after having just finished her book and reading about this interview. She said she was so sick that night and was throwing up and doubled over even as they announced her name... what a bloody trooper she is!
HOW adorable is she??!!! Love her positivity & sweetness ❤️ I liked it, but THE dumbest thing about the revival was Rory dating the dorky boring guy - WHHHYYY?! 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
Sweet Heart Well they did play it at the end credits of Fall. I expected the old credit song to play at the end, but when the theme came on as Gilmore Girls ended, I got emotional myself. Also when Winter started and just hearing all the old lines or when Rory walked into her grandmas house and was imagining their Friday Dinner, one of Richards noted on a blackboard and then Richard at his desk.
I don’t understand why people are so disappointed with the ending, I loved it! Gilmore Girls was about Lorelai raising Rory and the ending of it was like the beginning of a new story. Rory getting to raise a child (hopefully daughter) of her own. People want a fairy tale ending, but this ending was more like real life. People make mistakes and TV shows should be able to show that too. And a child isn’t even a mistake. People are talking about how Rory didn’t learn from her mother’s past actions and it just repeated but it’s not the same. Rory is much older than Lorelai was. A child won’t ruin Rory’s dreams. This actually happens to a lot of people. Since that’s the ending we can also imagine how the rest of their lives play out. She could be a single mom. Or I like to imagine that she eventually tells Logan she’s pregnant and they eventually get together and their child can be raised happily with their parents and grandparents. That’s the happy ending I imagine.
True except Amy wrote those last four words of the series from the beginning of the show. She bowed out for Season 7...originally that ending would have had Rory in college. Not the same as age 16, but not 32 either.
I think the reason why she said "There is always coffee in my cup" was because Alexis Bledel didn't drink coffee, she had Coke in her cup. (It's on her IMDB page)
I actually love Rory's character in the revival. It is relatable. She does not have to be put into a pedestal and needs to be perfect all the time. It showed that she is human and can be stuck in a rut.
What bothers me more is when characters have a phone conversation and don't wait long enough to make it seem like someone is actually talking to them on the other line.
It is annoying, but it does make sense for a TV standpoint. They want to get as much dialogue/story in the episode as possible. The seconds of air time used to make the timing of things "realistic" would really add up. Granted, that is less of a worry for shows that are streaming, but pretty much every other TV show made before this decade were restricted to television air time slots. I choose to overlook such things and think of it as suspension of disbelief.
I hate when they don’t say goodbye. They just smile and then hang up, as if the person on the other line can see them smiling. Happened all the time on 7th Heaven and it drove me INSANE.
Gilmore Girls has become one of my favorite shows ... I haven fallen in love with Star Hollows, Lauren , Luke, Rory and everyone ❤💕... The episodes had something to teach all in different aspects ... Lauren , you are so beautiful and apt for the character .. I enjoyed watching you in parenthood too... I admire you, Lauren ....
I listened to the audio book version of “talking as fast as you can”. It was amazing! Lauren is a great narrator! It also felt like Lorelai was talking to me
I’m a 65 year old man and alive watched ALL of Gilmore including A Year in the Life 4 times. I love it. Amy Sherman Palladio created such a family, full of disfunction and love that I feel we all were a part of the family and citizens of Stars Hollow. I hope they will do yet ANOTHER addition so we can continue the love.
Despite the controversies with Rory's character watching, returning to Stars Hallow with these characters felt like spending time with old friends that I hadn't seen in a while. You can feel that things have changed and shifted a little bit, but you still feel that sense of comfort. I feel like that anytime I rewatch any of the seasons. Doesn't matter what you look like, junk food is encouraged, and you can expect to feel comforted and experience laughter even after a rough day. I feel that any true Gilmore Girls fan understands what I mean.
I love the fact I was born in the 90s and I grew up watching this show! And when they brought it back I watch the whole thing in one day and was sad when it ended again!I Want That Coffe cup that's says Luke's
When my family got together to watch A Year in the Life we went to the school where my mother works and watched it on the projector in her classroom! It was the Best!
I was so excited for the new season, but it just made me sad. It felt like the writers didn't want anything important to have happened in between, so all the characters were just on pause, stuck, waiting for us to come back. I was expecting things to be mixed, and I honestly wasn't that upset about the very ending. I just wish Lorelai and Rory and Luke had actually lived nine years of life in the nine years.
Alain Bruno hi. This is weird but you literally commented on every random video I watched tonight....so weird!! Even ones I watched accidentally, bam, there you are.... 😝
I loved Gilmore Girls. I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more and than I cried again. That ending was so mean. It was such a perfect goodbye and than they open that door to... more? Or not?
What a beloved classic GG, so cherished... Lorelai, Rory, the entire cast so well chosen and each lived their character with such love..they made it a Classic☕
🇧🇷 I found out the series about 4 years ago, started watching for its high quality & to improve my English. The challenge was understand a band of women (mother, daughter, friend, grandmother) talking as women do: fast, much, at the same time, running over each other... Tks reward control button & talkative girls forcing me to enhance English besides the many beautiful life lessons.
I think Lauren is terrific, I loved her in Parenthood and Gilmore Girls. I think Rorys spiraling was that she was so engrossed with her school, then as far as her boyfriends, well she was young and for a young girl juggling all, well in real life I think after time with a little less support in the world as your adult, something has to give. Love to you all❤️❤️

In my mind, Lauren Graham is my best friend. She seems so cool in and out of character. Love Gilmore Girls, always!
2:06 I read it in one sitting, about 6 hours straight. It's incredible
Give me some hints.
KEEP CALM and PLAY SOCCER IN YOUR PAJAMAS About what?
About the book: why is it incredible.
I just keep seeing this video again and again, to see the theme music , the girls yelling and lauren smiling . Its makes my day !
HOW adorable is she??!!! Love her positivity & sweetness ❤️
I liked it, but THE dumbest thing about the revival was Rory dating the dorky boring guy - WHHHYYY?! 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
I got misty eyed when they played "Where You Lead."
When did they play it? I don't remember hearing it at all on any of the 4 of them.
Sweet Heart When Lauren came out.
[NQZATR] Came out of where? OHHH you mean on THIS show, not on the Gilmore Girls show.
Sweet Heart Well they did play it at the end credits of Fall. I expected the old credit song to play at the end, but when the theme came on as Gilmore Girls ended, I got emotional myself. Also when Winter started and just hearing all the old lines or when Rory walked into her grandmas house and was imagining their Friday Dinner, one of Richards noted on a blackboard and then Richard at his desk.
she is so graceful!
Ariful Hoque Shoeb there is also something else sexy about her as well
Ariful Hoque Shoeb not at all
I would live in Stars Hollow
Austin Pearce a backwards, provincial smalltown where half the inhabitants are uncultured loonies?
RM W. Yes
Siena Flora ok then. i understand there are thousands of them in the flyover states
Me too
Aren't we all
“there I am in everybody’s bathroom” 😂👏🏻 I love Lauren.
Ugh oh my god every appearance she makes is so delightful. She’s such a beautiful creature.
She is super cute in every way :D
This interview makes me love her so much. So much grace and humility, and yet so relatable.
I'm so angry that it just ended on "mom, I'm pregnant"
Ahhhhhh I need more!
I want the instrumental version of Gilmore girls as my ringtone
In the show loralai was never the other woman , both series had Rory as the other woman in deans and Logan’s life
@@craigcourtney4209 I didn’t mention that tho..?
Nothing is more annoying to me than dead air. Boring just sit there and watch an person sitting there
I hate when they don’t say goodbye.
It also felt like Lorelai was talking to me
I love Lauren, great actress and great person. Lorelai was always my fave character
Watching two of my favorite people who've ever been on TV fan over each other this much is just wonderful
6:15 And coke in Alexis Bladel's cups
lauren graham's face never changes.
Brick Tamland war, war never changes.
David Kuehberger my penis size. my penis size never changes.
Mine does. Several times a day.
You never get an erection Brick?
I mean, your name is brick for gods sake!
You never get a brick and then brick, Brick?
Preposterous!
even fat girls need lovin too u know
I fricking adore her she is so amazing!!
Thank you Lauren, Alexis and the rest of the cast for coming back!
She's is adorable
Despite the controversies with Rory's character watching, returning to Stars Hallow with these characters felt like spending time with old friends that I hadn't seen in a while. You can feel that things have changed and shifted a little bit, but you still feel that sense of comfort. I feel like that anytime I rewatch any of the seasons. Doesn't matter what you look like, junk food is encouraged, and you can expect to feel comforted and experience laughter even after a rough day.
I feel that any true Gilmore Girls fan understands what I mean.
Can we talk about how she is so gorgeous and has a 10/10 personality???? ♥️
Stephen, you let her slide on the bigger controversy. She asked if John Oliver found her hot, but not you
my daughter loves the Gilmore girls and even has the name Rory. She loves everyone even Jess and Dean
Love her sympathic smile - heartwarming
She brought so much of her own personality to Lorelai! I love that!
This woman is beloved!
nah nah, I need a full cover of Where You Lead from that band in the background. I loved that SO much!!!
I love the fact I was born in the 90s and I grew up watching this show! And when they brought it back I watch the whole thing in one day and was sad when it ended again!I Want That Coffe cup that's says Luke's
I love the Gilmore's. I love Sookie, Lorelei's mother, Emily, her dad, Richard. Oh, I love them all.
"Gotta be angry about something" is the definition of the internet anymore.
AndrewKendall71 agreed they're always coming up with the most insignificant things to get mad about these days
Just like the two of you are doing right here?
She’s such a lovely person, warm, funny and beautiful, inside and out. But this woman does NOT age!! She looks nearly as young as she did in 2000!!
0:56 I love her and still rewatch the show on Netflix but anytime she made this face on the show and in real life I always cringe soooo hard.
When my family got together to watch A Year in the Life we went to the school where my mother works and watched it on the projector in her classroom! It was the Best!
Lauren looks great! She's so charming and entertaining to watch.
I hold my cup like that too when I'm walking lol. but only if i have a bag hanging from the same arm. kinda balances the weight distribution.
"There is always coffee in my cup."
Almost choked when the band started playing the theme song
when they play where you lead as lauren entered the room 😭💔 i wish they would put that in a year in a life, i waited for that fr 😭💔
I always watched gilmore girls on the television. Doesn't feel right watching it from my phone.
God I wish the revival was better so that I can be in celebratory mode.
ssalady I know!
ssalady same :(
Ffs am I the only one who loved the revival? You people just had high expectations and were dissapointed but it was great
‘I want to tell you one thing ... that is a true thing’ ... ‘there is ALWAYS coffee in my cup’ 😂😂 I’m crying
She is a talented actress, yet such a sweet and humble person.
Lauren is my favorite from Gilmore Girls!!x
I love her so much
Alain Bruno hi. This is weird but you literally commented on every random video I watched tonight....so weird!!
Even ones I watched accidentally, bam, there you are.... 😝
she’s is so beautiful.. and so so much like the character she plays🥺
Even in Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist her first scene is holding coffee. Aww
There's always money in the banana stand
more seasons of Gilmore girls pls!!! calling wb and amy palladino😢❤️
1:07 aww so cute!
With this year being so difficult, Stars Hollow is my happy place, I KNOW that the coronavirus would never have struck there.
Alexis and Lauren have aged so gracefully! What lovely souls ❤️
"because they're empty and physics" lmfao
I loved Gilmore Girls. I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more and than I cried again. That ending was so mean. It was such a perfect goodbye and than they open that door to... more? Or not?
Dare - wait for it - Devil
Is it going to end with.... mum I am pregnant???
@@maryokane2036 yup
I absolutely ADORE Lauren Graham!!!
What a beloved classic GG, so cherished... Lorelai, Rory, the entire cast so well chosen and each lived their character with such love..they made it a Classic☕
I watched a 7 minute video to hear 1 myth busted.....Misleading title :/
the band's version of the Gilmore Girls theme was so good!
Love to you all❤️❤️
5:45 is when they get to the coffee cup thing
Lauren it's Lorelai, I just can't I love it
those girls at the start yelling “we love you lauren” are a whole mood 😻💗
The story is literally not over…..THE LAST 3 WORDS!
