There isn't much to improve on when your whole brand is to take clips from shows and movies and slap it on a short. Not a lot of creativity goes into this 😂😂😂

Bruce doesn't actually use Hal's real name until things got serious, as a tactical move to get Hal to start trust him because they were in a world ending scenario with no time to build that trust. For Grayson it is more of a playful game, he had already done his homework on her. Not to mention at the time he didn't know what her future romantic prospects would look like. And Grayson gets around, it's a running joke that he's a secret meta human. Because he's dated half the women on each of his teams and he somehow manages to keep great friendships with all his exes.
Young Justice had the most comic accurate Dick Grayson in terms of personality. I also loved this moment because it implied Dick was always sure he'd eventually get close enough with everyone to share his identity despite being the most secretive on the team.

If I remember correctly, there were not many steps between that and sex. They obviously didn't do it, but dang, it's a kids' show (I think).

EXACTLY! I watched this as a six-year-old and didn't understand English that much, I did NOT recognize Barbara. I just thought it was some random red-head until I realized it when I got older that it was Barbara 😭
And they say Grayson has no sense of humor… Edit - I’ve now been asked 3 times who said that despite me answering it to the first person… So I’ll say it here: I was at my local comicbook shop looking around when some kids were reading a Batman comic (I don’t know which one, as I didn’t see the cover, just saw the Batmobile from the 90s cartoon driving towards Wayne Manor in a lovely 2 page spread. And one of them said Dick Grayson / Robin didn’t have a sense of humor and the rest of the group around him all agreed. Me and the owner of the shop looked at them and I asked if they were joking. They looked at me funny and I explained compared to Dick, I have no sense of humor. I completed my purchase of some YuGIOh cards and went home.
Honestly the friendship of Artemis and Greyson is the glue that holds young justice together. Later in the season when Artemis reveals to the team that her family is full of active criminal wally seems like hes about to blow up on her and Dick steps in sayings that he knew and it didn't matter because she is not her family, she is "one of us." It's fantastic writings, a character revealing thier bighest insecurities to their friends and their friends accept her as she is; if only we were all so lucky to have friends like Dick Grayson
I wish we saw more of this school dynamic 😮💨 at least we have fanfic Edit I mean their friendship. Like Robin knowing her identity and messing with her for laughs. I also would have liked to seen more of Thor civilian life in general

I love that she calls him "some freshman" like he isn't the adobted son of the city's richest man, Bruce Fucking Wayne. It might not be the most relevant in this scene, but I feel like I would have mentioned his name at least.
Did she think people wouldn't know? How many blonde, half-Vietnamese girls are there running around? All kidding aside, Artemis was a favorite of mine during YJ seasons 1-2. I even enjoyed her arc in season 3 except for the attempts to hook her up with a Speedy clone (I forget which one). Stephanie Lemelin did an amazing job
Look at it like this. Artemis(Civilian) is an awkward nerdy scholarship student in Wayne city. Meanwhile Artemis(Hero) is an athletic archer in Star City. Like if you saw a guy who looks kind of like Barrack Obama working a librarian in South Dakota you aren't gonna assume he's actually Barrack Obama.

The funniest thing to me is the very beginning, when Artemis is trying to tug down her skirt. In my high school, girls constantly complained that the dress code made skirts too long and wanted them shorter. But then, this IS a world of flying people, Bat-ninjas, and magic aliens. So I guess they were taking a creative license.
Bette(Not 'Beth' as the caption says) Kane, the other blonde girl in the beginning is the original Bat-Girl. Eventually she was retonned as Flamebird. She had a huge crush on Robin/Nightwing in the comics. Its funny when they drop deep cut stuff like this.
