Barns were painted red for several reasons a couple of them is because red paint was cheaper and more abundant than other colors and red paint absorbed sun rays better keeping the barn warmer, especially in cooler/colder times.
I'd love to see some like... primitive technology, self sustaining sims where you aren't selling stuff to customers. Just living off the land. I have no idea if stuff like that exists...
Many years ago, choices for paints, sealers and other building materials did not exist. Farmers had to be resourceful in finding or making a paint that would protect and seal the wood on their barns. Hundreds of years ago, many farmers would seal their barns with linseed oil, which is an orange-colored oil derived from the seeds of the flax plant. To this oil, they would add a variety of things, most often milk and lime, but also ferrous oxide, or rust. Rust was plentiful on farms and because it killed fungi and mosses that might grow on barns, and it was very effective as a sealant. It turned the mixture red in color. When paint became more available, many people chose red paint for their barns in honor of tradition. So what's the full story about the fishing boats. 😅 😅 😅
🤣🤣🤣🤣 beginner mistake ! Aleays dig dow and either use concreat and big rocks on top of where you want your chiken coop fench ! So you remove the digging in to the coop ! And also build a net roof so the eagels or hawak do t take them them neither ! And if you gan get a fighting rooster ! Rats and snakes dont stand a chance ! But we also put up chiken net for tiny chikens inside ! So they cant jump tru the fench ment for full grown hen and rosters !
