Jeonghan is the kind of idol that really deserves attention and with this teaser, he proved that he can do anything. From dance, sing, act, making people laugh and just there showing his visuals.
I interpreted it as his relationship with fame and fans, or even him with the other boys. He sets others free (birds), yet in the end, he feels trapped by his own self, locking himself up. Meanwhile, the free birds simply watch him in his cage.
There are many possibilities, but I truly liked this teaser the most
Or maybe he's scared to be free(idk?) even though he can and has the power to do so, yet prefer to stay inside the cage because of that fear of being free??

We can see cages and hear birds flying.
He has the key to free them and he uses it.
We can see him in a cage and every bird is free. He has the key but he chooses to not use it and throws it away.
Maybe his inner shadow is that he can and should free everybody else but he should never free himself. He can't let go and be like the others. He chooses to stay in this cage. He chooses to not be free (to never be fully himself).

The birds symbolises freedom or the desire to be free while the cage symbolises confinement and jeonghan chose to be trapped in the cage the way he dropped the key, in other words he doesn't want to be out of it like a bird trapped inside the cage who doesn't have a freedom yet will always remain elegant.
their inner shadows are getting more and more... haunting. we've seen scoups out of time, joshua lost no thanks to miscommunication, minghao aimlessly finding his path, woozi stuck in a nightmare with unfinished work, hoshi trapped in a loop and not being heard, and now jeonghan somehow confined and held back in a cage. honestly this whole lore is insane

So far, this one is the most relatable to me. I feel like this one symbolizes how hes afraid of loosing control (dropping keys) and being trapped inside his own cage (which represents anything negative) while others around him (symbolized by birds) have control over themselves and is not trapped in their own cages.
like he sees that those around him know what can stop them, but they have enough control over themselves to avoid it.

Though he is comforting but feels caged or locked up in himself.

Damn, you got me at first half there! Thought we were gonna be chill but then the key drops and then Jeonghan locked himself up.
Jeonghan's fear is far more complex than just a singular point of fear. He holds the key to the other's freedom, I have a bad feeling that he feels so much responsibilty in their freedom that he starts to open every cage to set them free. But he has to lock his own freedom, not because he has to, but he wants to. The feeling of guilt that holds you back from experiencing the same freedom as the others.
@Olajumokemi Itunnu now that you have mentioned it, he does seem guilty nor does he have a reason to be so, but just surrendered. I also saw another theory that says he doesn't want to hold the others back so he sets them free, but he didn't want to leave the cage because he feels safer in the familiar setting he had gotten used to which is being in Seventeen. But I'm still baffled what the keys really meant... what does it really mean and why is it solely Jeonghan's hands?
I once read that Jeonghan said he felt that he was trapped on being the "Seventeen's Jeonghan" and not being himself. And then he realized and embraced that both "real life's jeonghan" and "Svt jeonghan" are part of him. I guess this video shows his fear on this.
