John Deere rebuild part 2

The second part of the 2020 rebuild

I am doing the same tractor but my in frame has turned into an engine removal. Complete tear down and build up with new cam and balancer bushings as well. My engine has the liner sealing orings in the block itself and not on the liner. It is a 1971 year model. It has never been rebuilt so I am going to check out the crank and hope it won't need grinding.

Awesome mate, Hopefully the crank is good, Its surprising how much little wear there is on the main bearing shells sometimes, I didn't check the cam in mine🤞 but the balance shafts felt good. I'm guessing my tractor is a few years older with the O-rings in sleeves, the later ones were probably a better setup, or John Deere wouldn't have bothered changing I reckon.
I am Getting close to starting now. 👍
