I actually think he is a 4-star caliber player. He has good size, exceptional hands, and great straight line speed. That said I think he was overranked by ESPN who has him as the #3 WR. Rivals and 247 have him lower as their #14 and 15 WR. To me he seems to be making most of his plays on pure athleticism. Simply out running everyone to the endzone. What I don't see is elite route running or lateral explosiveness/agility like you said, which I think is extremely important at the next level.
I knew he was a beast getting playing time as a freshman on lsu smh I didn't even finish watching the video if he puts on muscle and gets to 205 or 210 pounds he can be the coldest white boi skilled player we've ever seen he reminds me of chris carter because of the hands and route running and cc had speed too.
If we get Quinn and maintain or current commits we could have a lethal offense. Wish the beat for ya bro, hopefully you pick Texas. Also don't listen to the haters, everyone wants to take a shot at Texas while we're down.
Three QBs put those numbers up. Even with Saban and Dinardo we were a running team first. 3000 yards passing and 2300 yards rushing is something I'd take every year. The #1 DB in Florida went up against Quinn at one of the camps last spring and he was asked who was the toughest WR to cover at the camp and he replied Trey Quinn. So what is that you were assuming?
If he were to go to an SEC school his best bet would A&M. Why would he go to an LSU or an Alabama where he would be at a disadvantage? Although I think he ends up in Austin.
Definitely not a 4 star. I don't see any agility or anything that would convince me that he is higher than a 3 star. Maybe 4 star hands, but that's about it. Reminds me of Abram Booty years ago, who had inflated high school stats but never did much at LSU.
And yet, if his goal is the NFL, Texas is as good as it gets. If he wants to spend all his time blocking in LSU's conservative offense, so be it. But I would call that a waste of such a talented receiver.
