Great inspiration to go outside and start a journey. I'm curious if/ what priorities come into focus during your trip and how that has played out in the year following?
Cory S after a quick review of my journal there are so many things to say to answer this question but if I had to narrow it down I'd say the following. Simply living is hard work. So learn to enjoy the process and turn the struggles into personal challenges you can feel great about overcoming.
I couldn't agree more. I have found that the end goal more often supersedes the means of getting there. Like hedonic adaptation, without another goal on the heels of completion, the journey is forgotten or ignored when that's where the memories and growth really comes from. Thanks for sharing!
It still has the wow factor after watching the second time. Bushcraft camping and woodworking with great videography and creativity, looking forward to the next one.
With a lump in throat and tears in my eyes, I watch your trip. You film and edit with the premise for the viewer to not just watch but feel, the beauty and emotion that you are in the midst of. Thank you thank you for sharing. I truly was moved by your cinematics and your genuine love of nature and dicovering Her through challenging your selves.
The best provincial park in Ontario in my opinion. I worked for the MNR right out of school as a designer with a landscape architect and got to explore the parks. I have done my fair share of camping from a young age in Ontario and this has been my favorite thus far.
What a wonderful adventure. Being raised near Sudbury I always relate that scenery to "home". Thanks for bringing us along, and bringing my mind back in time.
This vlog pretty much sums up the peace, serenity, and solitude of a spring (or autumn) canoe trip through Killarney Provincial Park. Excellent job capturing all the right moments, and commenting in all the right spots. Beautiful work. My wife and I head out the first week of may for ten days in Killarney and are looking forward to exactly everything in this video. Cheers!
I love the way you captured the feeling of being in the backcountry. I'm looking forward to my first Killarney canoe trip with my husband this fall and your video got me even more stoked!
Great video! I'm not sure where to start. The videography and storytelling was incredible. I'm alway excited when I see a new video from you in my subscription list.
Killarney is by far my favourite park so far! Can't wait to get out there! That camp site you stayed at on Killarney lake is the same one I stayed at last time with my scout group. On our last day on that island we where packing up and a group across the way was yelling at us that there was a black bear on the point. He was way more scared of us and ended up swimming away. It truly shows how one with natural you are out there.
Statement at 6.05 so important, but goal is to make this routine despite the difficulties of doing so. Great adventure! Beautiful country, thank you for sharing this with us.
Man, you Canadians are spoilt for beauty and space ! Really enjoyed that. I trawl YT for quality canoe films and this was worth stumbling on. Your narration tells a story, which is sadly missing in some of the more popular ‘bushcraft’ offerings by well known YTubers and most are lacking the quality footage that you've captured here. Loved some of the underwater shots of the paddle, great attention to detail. Greetings from England.
Thanks so much. I'm glad the details are appreciated. I put a lot of time into my videos which isn't all that productive from the UA-cam algorithm perspective if I was trying to grow my channel like other UA-camrs. However, what's important to me is that in the future I have work I'm proud of, not numbers. Lots of good stuff coming. All the best.
Stumbled upon this video as we are planning our first Killarney trip for next fall... great job! Glad I found your channel, I've subscribed and looking forward to more trip videos from you two.
Just beautiful. Couldn't do that, though but I can respect how well you're both doing it. Brilliant work again. Love to see you taking a break ;) Cheers!
Amazing film T The scenery is epic. I haven't been camping in years. We used to camp up on Mt. Washington, or Mt Madison once a year. Injuries and old age has crept in. My arthritis limits me. I miss it, so I live vicariously through your films.
Outstanding filmwork and a great story! I'm on the edge of my own 600 mile canoe adventure that will be starting this September and this video was a great way to remind myself of what is in store for me. Great video, as always.
Thanks so much. Tell me more about your trip. Where will you canoe? Maybe I can catch up with you and shoot a little segment of your trip and do an interview.
It's going to be a trip on the Mississippi starting from Alma, WI and hopefully ending three weeks later at St Louis. I did a 10 day solo trip from Alma to Dubuque in 2015, but this trip will be with myself and my brother.
Great video, very inspiring. Just got back from killarney and you make me wish i was still there! So many of the thoughts you share during this video i agree with 100%
Beautiful film. I envy you your canoe! I have slogged many a km with a beat up aluminum canoe dragging it as much as carrying it. The last time in Killarney we did the 100km loop on foot. It is a amazing place and a special part of Canada. Please post your bannock recipe.
Killarney is an incredible park. Another favourite of mine is Frontenac. Going on trips like this is what got me into boatbuilding but since I started boatbuilding I haven't gone on a trip like this.
Trustin Timber if you thought woodworking was a wormhole, go get a bigger shovel and then cut holes in the walls of your shop on either end of your table saw and planer.
Absolutely. It's a long learning curve, at least 15 years to get really comfortable if you are diversified. I'm going on about 24 years now and still find certain areas challenging. Very hard to make a living compared to most woodworking though. You can do well in yacht repairs but that takes time as well. By all means take it up as a hobby though. Tons of fun and it will take all your other woodworking to a new level. Curves will become second nature after a while. Steam bending become like tying your shoes. All those sweeping planks in your woodpile now become A-list materials. Here's a little article I wrote to help you get started. www.nomadboatbuilding.com/wordsite/project/the-nomad-ten-step-program/
This is beautiful in sentiment and environment. Your videography is always amazing. "Are we going to enjoy ourselves like we have every time before, or are we going to be tested beyond our comfort zone?" I love seeing your pov on why they are not mutually exclusive.
This was a step outside my comfort zone. Anytime I'm nervous I just let it come from the heart and then I don't have to worry what people think. Really happy you enjoyed it.
Memories of trips past, of lakes and rivers and bugs and shitty campsites and the really special ones like the one at Shangri La Falls on the Lady Evelyn river. Rock wall behind you, a stepped waterfall in front cascading through falls and deep pools and looking west out over the peak of the Ishpitani Ridge; The highest point in Ontario! You cannot Imagine.
I've enjoyed all the video's you've put out that I've seen so far but this one caught me a little off guard. I knew by the title it wasn't going to be a make video but I didn't realise how stunning and inspiring it would be. I think this is the first time in a very long time I've watched anything and given it my full undivided attention, no quickly checking emails/instagram/facebook whilst watching, not even realising I've got a huge smile on my face, just full focus on every frame. Thankyou for sharing this, it's a beautifully shot, produced and narrated video. I will be sharing this far and wide.
That's so awesome. Thanks for telling me. I wasn't sure how it would be received so I'm really happy you all enjoy it. More to come. I put in the time in the editing suit so I'm not wasting yours. Always been my rule.
Trustin Timber well it's time well spent. I've been feverishly showing it to everyone I can! And it's giving me the inspiration to finally get around to finding somewhere local I can go canoeing, so thankyou again.
This is my first time watching one of your video's & it blew me away . The scenery , the content and the story was very moving and emotional. WoW !!! Nice job , New subscriber here , keep up the good work
Shit, that intro's like a Jam knot. No slipping! Let's go Ontario! Canada has more great lakes than the world combined! Ontario contributing its mass once again

Cheers to the Timbers! Loved the video, thank you for sharing this adventure experience. P.S. I'm a tree hugger as well, it may seem strange to others, but I have to admit ...there is a good feeling that overcomes me when I do it...yes, it's like resetting the soul. -CR IG @cravencards ; )
Great inspiration to go outside and start a journey. I'm curious if/ what priorities come into focus during your trip and how that has played out in the year following?
Cory S great question. Let my look at my journal and get back you you.

Can't wait to get out this spring and enjoy the lakes. I'm glad to be back in Ontario full time.
It still has the wow factor after watching the second time. Bushcraft camping and woodworking with great videography and creativity, looking forward to the next one.
Thanks so much Rick. Move coming soon. 2 build videos in the works and 2 adventure videos. Lots coming.

Had to watch this again. After way to many years I'm headed back to Killarney on Sunday for my first solo trip.
The best provincial park in Ontario in my opinion. I worked for the MNR right out of school as a designer with a landscape architect and got to explore the parks. I have done my fair share of camping from a young age in Ontario and this has been my favorite thus far.
Wow very inspiring. Hope I get to experience a trip like this. I’ve been wanting to connect with our nature here in Canada.
What a wonderful adventure. Being raised near Sudbury I always relate that scenery to "home". Thanks for bringing us along, and bringing my mind back in time.
Happy to do it. :)
Gorgeous film of a gorgeous park. Wonderful.
Excellent! I like the phrase "reset your soul". Happy 150 Canada.
I feel I've made a wonderful discovery in your channels Trustin Timber and The Timber Life. So inspiring. Thank you.
Welcome aboard!

Thanks, Greg. We really appreciate knowing people care to see.

Thank you so much for making this. Very well put together and thought inspiring.
That was spectacular. Totally my kind of vacation. Haven't done anything like that in years. I felt my blood pressure drop just watching it.
Glad I could add a few days to your life.
ManCraftingTM true... it's gives relaxation to mind.
Great video! I'm not sure where to start. The videography and storytelling was incredible. I'm alway excited when I see a new video from you in my subscription list.

interesting. We had one at out camp a few years ago but yeah, it just ran away when we got close.
All of your videos are amazing. This one is the best yet! Where I am in my life, a trip like this is not possible. Thanks for sharing!
Jeff L I'm glad you enjoyed it. Wish you all the best and hope one day I see you on the waters.
awesome video guys! started wilderness camping again after 30 years absence. First time in Killarney was summer of 2017.
Great video. Lovely images as well. Can't wait to check out Killarney this summer!
Captivating. Enchanting. And it brought back memories of time in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Minnesota. How did I end up in Arizona.
haha I didn't ever plan on ending up in Ontario but I'm glad I did.
Very well done. Thank you! Thinking of visiting Killarney Provincial park in a week.
Enjoy. It's beautiful this time of year.
Statement at 6.05 so important, but goal is to make this routine despite the difficulties of doing so. Great adventure! Beautiful country, thank you for sharing this with us.
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it.
This is one of the most insperrational videos I have ever seen , keep them coming !!
That tree truly appreciated a hug. That was clear.
Most definantly:)
Excellent video. I plan on going to Killarney in June. Thanks for sharing.
Very nicely done Justin, glad I happened across your channel.

That’s a fantastic video my friend, very unique. I went to Killarney in July, I live in England and it’s a place that I can only describe as heaven.
Yep, we actually just got back from here again. Will have a new video up in a week or so.
Stumbled upon this video as we are planning our first Killarney trip for next fall... great job! Glad I found your channel, I've subscribed and looking forward to more trip videos from you two.
Just beautiful. You tell a great story. Thank you.
Thank You. Much appreciated.
Just, wow. That was tremendously inspirational. Made me proud to be Canadian!
That's what a true Canadian does. Makes other Canadians proud. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great video Trustin! Such beautiful places!
Awesome story ...thanks for sharing...we too Love Killarney
Killarney is a magical place for-sure:)
honestly I'm just stunned after watching this I'm sure I'll visit this place sooner.
Awesome! My favorite park is Killarney. Bill Mason has always inspired my love of the outdoors. I really enjoyed your video. Wade
Yeah, Bill Mason was one heck of a cool dude.
Just beautiful. Couldn't do that, though but I can respect how well you're both doing it. Brilliant work again. Love to see you taking a break ;) Cheers!

Thanks for this beautiful video. Makes me want to go out there and film my own adventures
Great video. My fav park but I only go in Fall and Winter. I wouldn’t be able to handle the summer bugs.
This summer I'll get to Killarney. Thanks for the inspiration.
get after it:)
That was a treat! ❤️

Beautiful images! Great thoughts! Keep it up! - Davi
Thanks Davi.
Awesome video Timbers! 👍🔥🌲
My brain can't comprehend how beautiful this is.
You should see this park in July:)
I thought this was Killarney in Ireland!
Wonderful, well done!
Going (second time this year) to Killarney in a few weeks. I don't know how you do it in the spring. Flies would drive me insane.
Can anyone tell me what site that is at 2:37 ? The view is unbelievable. I'd love to say at that site. Thanks!
Shit, that intro's like a Jam knot.
No slipping! Let's go Ontario!

awesome video, thanks!!!!🚀
Well Done!!!
Well done! Time for a gear video!
Any gear you're specifically interested in?
I assume no phone network. So, maps and GPS?
Nope, no phone :) Just maps. We had a GPS but didn't need it.
I liked that.
wow...
Very nice TT :)
Thanks for always stopping by. You got to get out on this side of the pond one day.
Yes i do. :D
