I still watch James Arness in Gunsmoke every day on weekdays. I love you James Arness. A terrific actor. ❤❤ I will continue watching Gunsmoke every day. ❤❤❤
James Aries’s was a great actor and human being. He had a big heart ❤️ and what a loving person. I watched Gunsmoke as kid it was in black and white than went in color. I still watch the reruns still love ❤️ all the actors in the show. RIP James Arness. Hope to see you in Heaven one day. AMEN 😀🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think it is great listening to this iconic actor speak on a good cause and making references to internet websites in his own voice. I understand that Mr Arness was somewhat tech savvy for someone his age.
Arness' son Rolf showed me what surfing was all about at Riviera Beach in the late sixties. I enjoyed the old cowboy shows on television like Gunsmoke and Mavericks and Rawhide when I was a kid. RIP, Mr. Arness, and I wish I could have seen you surf twelve foot North swell Laniakea in Hawaii. That was my favorite surf spot.
I know all of the cowboy fans will join me is saying that Jim and his cast and crew was the best that ever was. God bless James Arness and his wonderful family.
Wonderful man. When I hear the theme from Gunsmoke, I find myself being sad. Not for Mr. Arness or Gunsmoke but for myself. I grew up with Gunsmoke. Hearing the theme song brings back so many wonderful childhood memories. With his television shows, Mr. Arness came into my home for years to include when I married. He was part of the family. He still is. With his passing, this country lost a true patriot, a wonderful actor, and much much more. I miss him. Even though I am sad when I hear Gunsmoke Trail, I still listen to it everyday. I love everything about Gunsmoke.
We were Family friends and my Father was Army Buddies of James Arness. I remember at age 8 Mr. Arness coming over to our home in Santa Monica, California to see my dad. They were both wounded fighting NAZI GERMANY. Mr. Arness had a terrible right foot injury. Machine gun fire tore it to shreds. He had several surgeries and P.T FOR 18 MONTHS but, lifetime of pain and a limp you can see in many shows if you watch carefully. Running, jumping, going up Hills was very difficult. He gave me a chance to act in 1964 with Kurt Russell playing PACKY KERLIN a runaway cowboy looking for his mother in DODGE CITY. Kurt Russell was a Natural actor. Born to act. Very intimidating. I was 9 years old when he was 13 in this part. He went on to be n 3 other episodes and got LOTS OF OTHER WORK on TV, Film. I went in to Intern'l Business arena,. Marketing, Europe. Life is funny that way! lol RIP MR, JAMES ARNESS and my favorite when I was a kid on set KEN CURTIS. RIP sir...Thanks for teaching me to ride a horse. GUNSMOKE TV SHOW 1955-1975 The wonderful memories....

That end tune sometimes brings me to tears!......Hey, Is there a James Arness/Cerebral Palsy connection? Like, does he have family with it?
