Please click the subscribe button if you would like to follow for more game development guides and tutorials, there will be complete beginner series and courses coming in the near future.
Here are some tricks you can do with scaling your sprites by 9 Slicing them. This will allow you to rescale UI images with a border that scales to fit the size but stays nice and crisp around the edges. Learn the basics of using the Unity Sprite Editor.
This can also be used on sprites for in your game so that you can sale objects such as fences and ladders to automatically tile.
I hope this video helps and please click like and subscribe if you would like to see more in the future.

This is what I was looking for. I'm using a lot of other assets from several packs and they implement this in their packs but I had no idea how they were doing it. This helped clear that up beautifully. Thanks for your time and efforts.

Man that's a great explanation. I found this video as the top result for "unity how to 9 slice" and was pleasantly amused that you're using the exact same Kenney pack that I was trying to 9-slice. Thanks!

Thanks so much for this. I'm primarily a programmer and wasn't even sure what to look for to resolve this issue.

This is awesome! I knew about the first application, but I never thought to use 9-slicing on things like fences. Thanks for this!

No problem, yeah I just found out about that second use recently as well. Makes sense I just never thought of it either.

Nice video, bit of a misleading tyhumbnail though :) i know it's accomplished with th esame technique but people want what they clicked on generally.

Yeah i get that i just cant legally provide that art but swapping the sprite we use with any sprite out after should look exactly the same. I tried to find some cleaner looking ones i could distribute but Kenney seemed the best. I was worried about that actually but have been trying to make all the thumbnails in a theme to look similar in style. I will do some more searching to see if i can find something i could update the video sprites with yet.

Thanks for the feedback on that, I was worried about it as I dont want it to feel misleading for future videos.
