So much emotion packed into this series. Words don't seem to do justice, it's like a perfect tribute and follow up for any Miyazawa fan of Night on the Galactic Railroad or any of his works.
When I first watched this, I enjoyed but not understood. I'm planning to do a re-watch because I know there's more than what I saw, and maybe since I'm older now, I'll be able to understand it better
In the end, we are all naked, we think we have nothing but ourselves. That is reality, but don't forget, somewhere someone else loves you. Someone is fighting for you. Maybe someone does care? Or just generic adam and eve mythology ....
just a girl I think that is meant to represent her vulnerability. She was willing to give up her body and soul to Kanba, despite his commitment to her. It was like a gentle understanding that he didn’t need to dedicate his entire life to her. She was willing to accept him, and give up her own life. In the end, she did get the Apple, but she rebirths the world in her own life.
At first she gets naked because she wants Shouma to view her as a love interest. She does her best to seduce him in the most elegant way possible. And she also wants to take advantage of Kanba. I'm the last episode she gets naked because none would be ashamed of getting naked in front of a real sibling. She (and the rest of them) are willing to sacrifice themselves for the others.

3 years after I've watched the show I find myself here. Criminally underrated.

I honestly ever got introduced to night on the galactic railroad from bungaku shoujo...and yes the symbolism is a masterpiece in both anime~
Mawaru penguindrum is a master piece I will not let be forgotten.

This is one of those titles that you enjoy more when you rewatch it. A ot of things can't be seen or understood the first time you watch it.
