Oh crap I really wanna play this now. Looks simple but extremely fun and stylish. The manga it's based on sounds cool too and massively influential... but there's no translation as usual. Fuck.
I found the untranslated manga scans, but I'm watching the dubbed TV show now and I fucking love it. It's at times a serious action/detective thing but it can also be extremely funny, full of creative cartoony gags. Almost like a Japanese Roger Ramjet.
I always wondered what the hell the Final Horned Skeleton boss is about, seems out of place between all the Sci-Fi stuff and never found an explanation of what the hell is suppose to be.

I remember that from 8-Man After. In that movie/OVA, 8-Man was Hazama Itsuru, and he essentially was Hachiro Azuma's replacement/successor. Though, I could imagine a scenario like this; Sachiko: My God... Who are you? You're not Azuma-San! Look what you've done, you monster! Who's side are you on?! 8-Man: You know what? You're right; I'm NOT Azuma-San! The 8-Man you once knew is no more! I'm someone else! So get used to it!

TVアニメ版はエイトボンバーと言う必殺技はないかと思った。エイトマン自体が必殺技かな？パワーとスピードは凄まじいし。このゲームよくやっていた。

調べてみたら、稼働日の同年11月に、ネオジオROM版が出ているとありましたよ。
原作者がキレたのは９マンじゃなくて、ラスボスのサイバーの正体を幻魔（名前すら出す事が出来なかった）にした点ですね。
当初の予定は人類の敵になった谷博士がボスの予定だったのが平井和正先生が「いずれネタとして使う設定だからそれやめてくれ！」とNG出したら
開発スタッフが憤慨して代わりに幻魔をボスにしたおかげで…。

I believe her name is Sachiko Yokogawa. But yeah, I think she's crazy to hold a torch for this Azuma-San cat. I love that anime.

when he gets a powerup,.what he's saying?????
I bet it's saying "Life Up" and "Bomb Up" but the robot voice sounds awkward. "Power Up" can be heard well fine.
@@DREADFALCON13 What's funny about 8-Man in this game is his voice clips. When he gets hit, he goes "OOH!" And when he dies, he goes "WAH!"
