- Joas, Justin, Ethan and two friends Matthew and Braden take a two night camping and mountain climbing trip into the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness in Northwest Montana.
Join us as we climb to the top of Snowshoe Peak, 8738 feet, while spending two nights in the wilderness.

I would have been content to make it to the lake and stay there ! Those heights made my knees weak ! And the deep cracks in the rocks gave me shivers 😳 Beautiful scenery!!

Thank you for showing us such spectacular sights! I’ve found myself appreciating more the little things of God’s creation like flowers and birds after watching. The boys were so brave exploring that cave! That was very cool! And the mountains, waterfalls and lakes were breathtaking!

Breathtaking scenery and so wonderful you can take the boys out on these adventures. Such a beautiful country we live in and so natural and a miracle of formation of every kind. I got so nervous when the boys were in those narrow rocks. I felt like I was in there with them and what to do if they got stuck of fell deeper in. :-)
I am so happy you share these adventures. The boys will be such wonderfully rounded men and give their children the same adventures I am sure. You and Priscilla are such wonderful parents. Love your channel.

So very beautiful- the flowers, mountains, creeks and lakes.
My husband says the fish you caught are Columbia River Red Band Trout. They are native to Montana specifically the Northwest corner. They don't ever grow very big. Very neat you caught some! We've both been up to Snowshoe Peak twice from the other side via Leigh Lake. Fun to see it from a new perspective! God Bless

This video was so incredibly special to me. My dad spent a lot of time up there in elk camps and of course just enjoying the beauty of Montana. He was born and raised there and lived on Lake Creek until his last breaths. I miss him so very much. Great father-son adventures in mountain climbing, swimming, camping, and fishing! Even berry-picking! Don’t ever stick your head under a hornet’s nest! Have you ever heard the phrase, “mad as a hornet”? They get really mad if messed with and they’ll come after you! My sister-in-law heard a folk tale about hornets. “If they build their nest up high, snow will be deep that following winter. But if built on a low branch, snow won’t be very deep the following winter!” We will need to observe the height of hornets’ nests to see if we get deep or shallow snow next winter! It appeared the one you saw was on a low branch.
I know we were unable to comment on the boys video.......The Quest. I watched it & thought it was very inventive.

Fireweed we call those Willow roses. Because the leaves look like willow leaves. They grow in many places. No mountains where I live.

I enjoyed seeing this and watching your boys with you! Such beautiful scenery! I can’t imagine how beautiful heaven‘s going to be when I look at some of the beauty on earth! I would be so afraid to sleep in the woods thinking about a bear coming during the night! You, your boys, and your friends are so brave!! Thank you for sharing such spectacular beauty with us! What kind of camera do you carry a go-pro or something similar?
We do a lot with our iPhones. We have a GoPro, a 4K camera and a drone.
They are what is called splakes. They are a cross breed of lake and brook.
