A big hello to you both;well what can I say;except a big ThankYou for sharing such amazing fun videos for us viewers…we love them…you both definitely bounce off each other, which is what it’s all about…you’ve definitely picked a perfect place to live for sure and looking at the way Jack Spaniel acts each day ;well you can see he’s a happy little chappy and adorable, bless him 😁👍it’s wonderful to see life over 636 miles plus from where I live;though I’m originally a northerner with Scottish ,Welsh & Irish roots…I’m a Lancashire man by birth, but moved south with my parents at a young age of 10 coming up to 11…Scotland has always been number 1 on my list, because of how much history it’s steeped in and the ironic thing is;I may be a descendant of King Edward Longshanks (Hammer of the Scots) ….😂keep up all of your wonderful videos on all of your channels….God Bless to you both and big Cuddles for Jack Spaniel……..still getting excited to see your outbuilding finished 🙏🏻👍Take care Karl x
One of my close friends is a Dunnet, born on Orkney. She visited a few years ago to scatter her father's ashes in the sea off Orkney. She'll be chuffed when I show her this.
It's stunning up there! Last month we did just over 2000 miles from Devon in our campervan. Oban, Skye, Wester Ross, Sutherland, Betty Hill, Tongue, Thurso, JoG, Wick, Inverness, Cairngorm, Callander, Trossachs and many minor detours along the way. Amazing scenery 🙂🙂👌
Dear Sky life couple. 👍👌👏 Maaaan, I bet that Jack Spaniels has the best possible life. If you could put a kind of counting device on his wagging tail, it would definitely shatter! Uhm... maybe this cute dog could even generate electric power with all this happy wagging!? 😁 ;-) Best regards, luck and especially health to all involved life forms (humans, animals and plants).
Great video - just love you guys! Thanks for taking us along with you - we plan to do the NC500 next Spring so lots of inspo. Thanks also Willie for reminding people about how to behave when in the countryside. Great to see Caithness portrayed so well, land of my husband's father and forefathers - plenty of Coghills and Sinclairs up there!
Loved being with you (metaphorically) as you explored this gorgeous area. The rain in the video reminded me of my dear Dad - a fellow Scotsman - who, no matter the amount of rain falling, always said "It's just a clearing up shower!"
I started this thinking ‘just have your holiday, you don’t need to film!’ But I’m so glad you did. Thank you for taking us along and that castle is on my list now!
Hello Sarah, hello Willie, and hello Jack Spaniels. Such a nice holiday. Thank you for including us to go with you. Its Its really beautiful in Scotland and a little rugged also. Greetings from the U.S.A .😮
The beautiful scenery of Scotland is never ending. Your adventures are always interesting and informative, so we get history and beauty at the same time. And, a good dose of happiness from Jack too. Thanks for taking us with you on holiday.
What a magnificent country you live in. I'm overwhelmed with the beauty and how green the scenery is. Your filming is some of the best. Thank you for enriching my life by teaching me how beautiful and some history about your country. Blessings and a hug to beautiful Jack Spaniels. 🌻🐕🥰🇺🇸
I love your program!!!! It's so refreshing to see a young couple enjoying and appreciating a simple life. It's hard work, and you two embrace it! I love Sara's art and Willi's music! You guys rock!
53 years ago my husband and I spent 2 weeks in Durness. I remember the peat fire, the huge stag that stood in the middle of the single track road we were driving on. Looking out and taking note of where the passing places were just incase a car came the other way. This brought back many memories of Scotland. I love the drone shots, so professional. Love from NEW ZEALAND ❤
I just love your videos. The beauty of Scotland and the Isles, your infectious enthusiasm and your humour. Of course, Jack is the real star so a big hug to him.
Ohhhhh ... just finished watching every second ... could have watched for another hour 🤣 Absolutely stunning video .. so much to take in 😍 I want to be there so badly and that cottage looks stunning .. love the outtakes at the end 🤣🤣 Take 12 .... on the most not northerly not point 🤣🤣
Ahaha we really struggled with that phrase 🤣 There’s a bit more from our holiday coming up in next weeks video (we took too much footage to fit in one!!)
Just love all your videos, and bought some beautiful bottles, also love Sarah's art is so so beautiful and looks like your looking at the object, amazing, will be getting post cards soon love you all I am 69 years old and living the best life with you makes me a dreamer. Glad Willie is doing better. Take care xo
Thank you for sharing your life with us once again! I enjoyed the entire video, but especially loved the broch and the castle. We just returned home from two weeks in Ireland, and it’s the architecture and history we love! From the Iron Age huts, to the Rock of Cashel, churches and castles, our visit to Ireland was magical! Now I’m dying to see Scotland! Jack really is living his best life, and had lots to say on this adventure. You three are absolutely perfect together! Wishing you all the best that life has to offer!
Thanks so much for taking us on holiday with you. The scenery is awesome, rockpiles intriguing and the wild orchid stunning. I have two orchids from my late father in bloom right now. My dog tried to get to Jack right thru the computer screen. Love the Bloopers TOO!!
What a beautiful part of the world, got shivers when you reached the "Broch" & two thousand year old flint. The stones I believe mark the history of men going to battle, "I'll put a stone on your stone".In Highland folklore it is recounted that before Highland clans fought in a battle, each man would place a stone in a pile, if they returned they would remove the stones.
I m in the USA and thought maybe you could help me. Recently when my husband and I were riding out in the countryside I saw some burgundy thistles! I d only ever seen lavendar ones before..didnt know they came in other colors. Are there anymore colors? What colors does Scotland have?
Carlisle Cumbria cricket club is having a archaeology dig that anyone can help them also Appleby Cumbria are doing a archaeology dig that anyone can help them
I love watching your adventures as my grandpa came from the Hebrides, and we've traced the family back to the 1550's and the Stuart rebellion. I've been to Edinburgh but that's only a tip of Scotland. Thanks for sharing these beautiful trips. I'm in CA.
I love old castles and ruins too, especially by the sea. For our 30th wedding anniversary (now past #52) I got my hubby to come to Scotland, land of my Great Great Grandparents on Moms side because he loves Scotch. He would tour distilleries and I did the castles. I bet Sarah knows this but I was struck by the amazing quality of light in Scotland, so crystal clear. Colors are amazing, sky, water, grass....
Really enjoyed this week's vid! Brits (retired) living in Canada, currently looking to buy a (cheap) place in Scotland, and every time we watch your vids, we fall in love all over again...
Your episodes keep getting better and better. What a bonus allowing us to see some of your holiday. I think the most northern point was my favorite part. Thanks for sharing.
Lovely video. amazing orchid, so excited to see it. I have African wild orchids as well as the more cultivated kinds growing in my garden in Johannesburg, South Africa. the isolated splendour of Scotland makes me want to get a camper van and go exploring.
Such amazing views! Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us! I so appreciate you sharing the history of the places you go and the things you see - as an American, these ancient places are so fascinating! Cannot wait for your next videos on ALL three channels!
Once again another great Visio’i always look forward to Sunday when you put out your Visio’s Awsomme and thanks for taking your own time out to edit and Produce your vidioes well done you 2 and jack Spanials lol
Gosh you had a great time on your holiday and thanks for taking us with you some ofthe time. I loved the castle so ancient and still part of it standing in that windy wet place right on the cliffs edge. The rocks there were amazing with all thier layers of history I bet they could tell a few tales if they coud speak. Proper Outlander country, love it. I have only been to Scotland once and that was long long ago but I so enjoy the places you three takes us to. Thanks Willie, Sarah and Jack Spaniels. So good to have you back I missed you last week.
I'm not sure I was there but it is beautiful. It appeals to the MacGregor, Bonniecastle side of me. I love you take Jack Spaniel. Our Russell Terrier "Jazz," always comes on holiday and he has this cute habit. I always get a dog friendly room with two Queen sized beds because we like to sprawl. Jazz, in order to be fair, would alternate who he slept with! He did it on his own, we never prompted him. One night with me, one night with Judy. Always fun with Jazz
My dear husband and i visited Scotland and Ireland a few years ago. From all I had heard, I was prepared to love Ireland but Scotland caotured my heart instead!! It is bleak in places but whistful and beautiful. I was reminded as you were enjoying your day. It seems like you are the only one's there
Hi guys and woof 🍻!! Well that was just bonkers with conkers.. Loved doing that still pick odd one up. It's the colour and the smell.?. Always loved landys my dad used to pick me up in one when he worked with rentokil, when I was wee I understand Willie and yes much needed. Sarah bones wonderful effort with crimbo stuff it all looks fab. Yir wee hoose looks so cosy well done a great team.. Skye team!!!!! Cheers fae Rab 🥃🍺✌️👍🍻🍻🍺🥃🍺🥃🦡 Take care. X
Thanks for taking us on your holiday! This place is obviously very special for you. I loved the shot of your shoe prints and Jack's paw print in the sand! I must say, though, that your own house is a better version of the holiday cottage, and the view is even better (I think!) since there are no utility lines in your view.
The drone work is AMAZING! What a heightened perspective it lends to your beautiful Scotland. Love and hugs from me in New Mexico USA. Long live Monty Python.
So so happy to see you guys back I was having with drawls it is so nice to have you guys take us with you on your adventures. I absolutely love watching your Vlogs. Scotland is so stunning and it is on my bucket list hopefully sooner than later, to go and visit, absolutely gorgeous. Cheers, you too. Stay well.🙏🥂🇨🇦
That was lovely, I was AMAZED by the flint tools! How awesome you can just pick them up there! Loved seeing Jack make patterns in the sand running round & round, Sand Martin footage was beautiful. Great video.
What a wonderful time away you had! I love that you take Jack Spaniels with you as much as possible. Love the castle. The organ playing reminds me of the carousels I rode as a youth. Wonderful memories.
Your best!! Much love frm New Orleans!Ive been watching your videos last couple of days. Glad I found you. I’ve missed Scotland . My Dad was stationed in Germany and we camped out All over Europe. My Mom’s favorite and mine as well, Scotland. We camped amongst the heather in the Moors for 3 quiet peaceful misty days.
Love the top end of Scotland , been to Thurso , Durness , John o groats and Kirkwall on Orkney . Love the lack of people and cars . Love that view you have from your holiday cottage .
I just love and enjoy your videos - no matter if you are working on your cottage, exploring, or vacationing etc etc I so want to come to Scotland (have for years) but in the mean while I will just keep watching !!! Hi Jack Spaniel. 🐾
I really look forward to following you on all your escapades, whether you are at home working on your improvements or on your holidays. Jack always makes me smile......such a lucky boy. No wonder his tail never seems to stop wagging. He must be one of the luckiest dogs alive, doing what every dog should be doing. You are both such an inspiration, and I can't wait for your next episode.
Thank you for sharing your vacation with us. My mothers family was Scottish and my Dads was partially Scottish with some English and Dutch tossed in. So for me it was a treat to see where my ancestors were from. Thank you and keep being g you.
Your view at the Cottage is just as beautiful!I love Brochs I'd love to see one that's still complete! It's fascinating how people built the structures, but the way the inside was used is so amazing!❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Linda! We will try and get to some of the more complete brochs before too long (some amazing examples in Glenelg, which is close by). But we would also love to see one reconstructed - hopefully someday they will build one!!
This was so much fun to watch! Beautiful area of Scotland. One day I’ll get there on a a visit home. I really missed you guys last week but so glad you got your holiday. Looking at the footage of the castle got my imagination going on how it was built and how many lives were sacrificed on the rocks below building into the cliffs.
Thank you for taking me back to Castle Sinclair Girnigoe! I visited Scotland for the first time last summer and also spend some days in Wick. Everywhere else in Scotland people were wondering why on earth I wanted to go to Wick, because "there is nothing there!" But I actually loved it! Amazing people, stunning coastline, interesting history (I recommend the Heritage Centre!) and only very few tourists :-) I had picked it beause I was traveling without a car and the Far North Line seemed to be one of the most beautiful Train Lines - it did not disappoint (also nothing beats the West Highland Line).
I love that part of the world. Our favourite beach is a little further west near Durness. We've also toured the north coast from Tain and right round the top to the west coast. Likewise the drive up off the beaten track and up through the mountains is stunning.
That was so fun. Everything is just so beautiful. The color of the water is amazing. It's so cute to see how excited Jack was as you got closer and closer to his favorite spots. He obviously knew just where he was. Thanks so much for sharing your trip with us. 😊
The more you share, the more I long to be there. I know people from Scotland here, they like visiting but rather live here. I just cant see why. Id love to see your artwork on bone china mugs eventually like R Fuller does with his wildlife. It would be great to have a bit of Scotland every day while enjoying my coffee, tea or coco. Just adore your creations. Thanks for sharing and making the day brighter.
Absolutely stunning scenery! Thank you for taking us along with you on your vacation. Sarah you looked so adorable with your multi-colored hairband and sunglasses. Your such a lovely couple.
My dad was born in Dingwal. I’ve never been but he loved to reminisce about it. Maybe in my next life. I’m too old now. Thanks for sharing your life with me. I look forward to your videos. Stay safe. 😊
What a beautiful holiday! Thank you for taking me along! I would break my neck running down that hill, you kids make it look so much fun! Please be careful and stay safe! ❤❤❤
Absolutely stunning scenery of your country, Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Sarah I always love castles thinking back to the times when the people actually lived there, And the skill they had to build them. Love the music in the background of your videos, Seem to take you back to that time period. Thank you for taking the time to share your holidays with us. Give jack spaniels a hug till next time.
Along with friends on my 1st trip to Scotland (we had 2 cars, & a sort-of planned route), we stayed at an inn outside of Fort William. We had great views as well. (Who doesn't have great views when in Scotland?!)---Beautiful smiles, you two, when sitting in the rain. ---I looked up how far you were from Findlater Castle...my second Hospice patient was a Findlater descendant. (Dunnottar is a must see!) I have such a hard time imagining life in those ruined castles, try as hard as I can. It amazes me that I had no such trouble when visiting the ancient pueblo ruins in our America Southwest. ---I have a coffee cup from John O'Groats. In one of the gift shops, I was reading some postcards that were so darn funny they made me laugh so hard that another tourist came over to see what I was laughing at. Sadly, I didn't buy a single one. But, I did buy some TRAFFIC JAM to take home! I found a recipe on-line to make more, but I hate to cook, & passed on the multi-step recipe!---My 2nd trip to Scotland was by guided bus, & they did take us to the northern most spot. Our guide pointed out the weighted thatch roofs along the way.
What a delightful video. The history, amazing scenery, wildlife, flora and two very happy people plus Jack Spanial. What more could you ask for, pure enjoyment. Thank you for sharing your trip with us. 💕🇦🇺
I think another reason that the Mesolithic people may have picked that location to work is the wind coming off the ocean would have lessened the midge bites so it would have been a more comfortable place to work 😊
So cool! The extent of my travels in Scotland include Edinburgh (the light! the gargoyles at the castle!) and Windermere (the speed of sound jets and the cuckoos!), which convinced me that I'd die an old woman in Scotland. Better renew my US passport while I still can. Thanks for this reminder of what I love and where my blood roots lie. You guys rock.

Shout out to Willie's musical talent and his iconic soundtrack to these vlogs!!!
Aww thanks so much!!
It is fabulous music! Perfect!
One of my close friends is a Dunnet, born on Orkney. She visited a few years ago to scatter her father's ashes in the sea off Orkney. She'll be chuffed when I show her this.

Wow amazing journey!!
Best regards, luck and especially health to all involved life forms (humans, animals and plants).
Aww thanks! Don’t worry - we made sure to have non-filming days too 😊
Thanks for taking all your followers along with you. Such fun , informative and so beautiful. You’re stars 🌟
I always, always find myself smiling throughout your videos. Thanks for another lovely slice of Sky (er, North Coast) life!

Hello my lovelies, missed you three last week. Glad to see that you're enjoying your break, thanks for letting us tag along! 😍❤️
Like the name Violet..its my months flower..February .
Hilarious that your holiday is an almost identical setup to where you live now! You guys definitely love cottages on a loch!
Ahaha yeah! We can’t help it - we just love it so much! But the holiday cottage has a pub within walking distance and a bath 😀👍
The beautiful scenery of Scotland is never ending. Your adventures are always interesting and informative, so we get history and beauty at the same time. And, a good dose of happiness from Jack too. Thanks for taking us with you on holiday.
Agree 100%.
It's so nice that you hold hands when you hike together. Thanks for taking us on the tour of the northernmost part of Britain.
As a small woman with a much taller partner - bit like Willie and Sarah - I can cofirm it's not always about romance but so I can keep up with him! 😅
Great video shoot ( as always ) you both showed me a part of Scotland that I was aware of but had never been , marvellous 👍
I'm sure Scotland ,was a piece of Heaven that fell to Earth!
What a magnificent country you live in. I'm overwhelmed with the beauty and how green the scenery is. Your filming is some of the best. Thank you for enriching my life by teaching me how beautiful and some history about your country. Blessings and a hug to beautiful Jack Spaniels. 🌻🐕🥰🇺🇸
Beautiful, rugged country. It's easy to see how Nova Scotia (where I grew up) got its name.
I love your program!!!!

Isle of Skye Black Pudding - sounds awesome
Would be cool to get drone footage of jack spaniels paw print patterns after running around on the smooth beach! He’s having such a great time!
We probably would have done, but the wind levels stopped us using the drone much! 😩
Absolutely stunning views! Thanks for taking us with you. Loved the views from the cottage as well.
I just love your videos. The beauty of Scotland and the Isles, your infectious enthusiasm and your humour. Of course, Jack is the real star so a big hug to him.
What a fun holiday. Castle Sinclair was so beautiful. You definitely need to paint the orchid Sarah. Have a good week! ❤️

Oh, that dramatic coastline starting at 24:07 is really something. It seems that the Scottish coast is just one kind of gorgeous after another!

Just beautiful. And Jack has to be the happiest dog I have ever seen! The tail does not stop wagging. I bet it wags while he's sleeping 🤣
Haha sometimes! Although usually it’s his wee legs twitching in his sleep 😊

Watching this was marvelous. Thank you for taking us along on your holiday. The scenery and bird life were as always captivating.
Love those stone piles down on the shore near the castle. Isn’t it weird how humans feel the desire to leave a mark

What a wonderful time away you had! I love that you take Jack Spaniels with you as much as possible. Love the castle. The organ playing reminds me of the carousels I rode as a youth. Wonderful memories.
Organ..me 2
Love travel with you 3,all beautiful and your both wonderful and Jack is the BEST.
Oh, my, I have a butter churn exactly like the one in the abandoned cottage. Always love watching Jack play!
Another lovely video. It looked like a beautiful place to holiday. And as always Jack and his zest for life is infectious. x
Love the top end of Scotland , been to Thurso , Durness , John o groats and Kirkwall on Orkney . Love the lack of people and cars . Love that view you have from your holiday cottage .
This was a real gift for those of us can’t travel
I just love and enjoy your videos - no matter if you are working on your cottage, exploring, or vacationing etc etc I so want to come to Scotland (have for years) but in the mean while I will just keep watching !!! Hi Jack Spaniel. 🐾
Love your creative camera shots!
Yess!
Jack Spaniels is ADORABUBBLE! I think I’m in love. ❤
Absolutely charming and thoroughly enjoyable.
Your view at the Cottage is just as beautiful!I love Brochs I'd love to see one that's still complete! It's fascinating how people built the structures, but the way the inside was used is so amazing!❤❤❤❤❤
There’s a very well preserved brochure near Brora if you ever want to see one. We also own one (not so good) on our Croft 👍
Thanks Linda! We will try and get to some of the more complete brochs before too long (some amazing examples in Glenelg, which is close by). But we would also love to see one reconstructed - hopefully someday they will build one!!
The best one is on Mousa in Shetland. Hope you get there one day!
Thanks for the post. The area is beautiful and a place I would like to visit.
Thanks so much! We can’t imagine living anywhere else but here 😊 Sarah is looking into getting her prints onto mugs etc. Watch this space!
Thanks for taking me on this beautiful trip 👏
I have thoroughly enjoyed accompanying you three on your hols! Thank you 🙏💖✨
Incredibly beautiful. Your video,s are just wonderful. You always make me have a smile all way through. Your videoagraphy is spectacular. True artists
Your wonderful zest for life is utterly infectious! Thank you all for sharing your lives with us! Absolutely fantastic!
The bloopers are just the cherry on top 🍒 🤪🇿🇦🏴
What a delightful video. The history, amazing scenery, wildlife, flora and two very happy people plus Jack Spanial. What more could you ask for, pure enjoyment. Thank you for sharing your trip with us. 💕🇦🇺
Willie Sarah(UK) Jack Spaniels it all looks stunningXX
I think another reason that the Mesolithic people may have picked that location to work is the wind coming off the ocean would have lessened the midge bites so it would have been a more comfortable place to work 😊
Good point!! We rarely have any midges when we stay there as it’s usually pretty breezy!
