What an absolutely wonderful song! Thanks for the upload and the English subs. Invaluable. Personally, I'm not a big fan of choral pieces but I love this one. I've listened to it about a dozen times so far. It's upbeat; happy; joyous; cheerful. As a matter of fact, there's a repeating lick in there that first plays at 1:07 - "Forever it will shine" - that sounds very familiar. I finally remembered where I'd heard that particular phrase. I'll let someone else make a guess at it. (Hint: think Elvis...) Like to hear the Moranbong Band do this one. Not the present lineup of course; they don't have the chops. Too mild and bland. It would have to be the original girls under the leadership of the highly-talented Seonu Hyang Hui that projected so much force and power. They could do this one. Easy.
For some reason the links have been butchered by youtube, the first link is on the bottom plus the . I haven't been able to find the second. Still while I have downloaded the other version of this song in it's original (mostly) uncompressed version I haven't been able to download this one which is much better. wsdprk.blogspot.com/2011/11/saranghaja.html
Sounds epic. Great work with translation. I will try whenever I can with translations from Japanese!

Best music? Only in DPRK
I've listened to this song so many times I can sing it, and I don't even know what it means. It's a good song, though.
thank you for your video, song subtilted in English
I hear echoes of the Mike Curb Congregation as well. Of course the north Korean music is infinitely more dynamic but the heroic narrative is the same.
Do you happen to have saved somewhere the uncompressed version?
