    The text of this song has changed: from 김정일 장군님의 품이여 to 한없이 은혜로운 품이여. Not longer in bosom of General Kim Jong Il (like it was sung by Ryom Chong with Wangjaesan group)? An attempt to reduce the cult of personality in DPRK?

      I’ve noticed a lot more media, events, and such in the DPRK more and more emphasize the state, the people and the party more than any one individual

      @@platttenbau It's a normal progression everywhere.
      In the beginning a nation exalts its founders in every circumstance.
      Slowly national identity takes more and more place in the celebrations.

      You maybe right actually.
      Even I noticed that the in the latest lyrics of the old song My sky, my sea, my earth, instead of "general" being changed to "marshal", it was changed to "party"
      In all the concerts of 2022, Kim Jong Un or "marshal" was rarely in rarely seen in the lyrics. Most of the songs were about the party.
      And also the three Music Videos released in 2021 were all about the party, not mentioning Kim Jong Un.

      @hanbyol19 Рік тому +5

      Absolutely no, since there's no "personality cult" in the DPRK, only genuine affection from the people to the leaders who provided them with a worthy life with nothing to envy in the world.
      Other songs, too, eliminated references to General Kim Jong Il from their lyrics, such as «Let Us Wave Our Weapons for the Supreme Commander», in which the line "Dear Comrade Kim Jong Il" was replaced by "Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un". That's just because Kim Jong Il is no longer alive, so it would have made little sense singing again an old song from his days, talking about greeting him or staying in his bosom.

      @@hanbyol19 as a Korean person myself I have to agree with you, I respect the Eternal President Comrade Kim Il Sung, and the Dear Leader, Comrade Kim Jong Il, since they have don’t so much for the Korean people and nation, and how they put the country and people over themselves.

      @Romero Zz3 Capitalism is failing everwhere, especially in America and Europe. That's not moving forward, but going back to the Stone Age where people lived only relying on their instinct, on the basis of the jungle law. In capitalism, only if you're rich enough you're someone, and only if your proposals bring profits to the capitalist ruling classes, they are listened; otherwise, they're censored and boycotted, and possibly their creator is eliminated. Stop telling that propaganda fairytale of "everyone can achieve their dreams", it's not true. Capitalism is a living hell for the people's masses. Only under socialism, where the latter are the true masters of the state and society, they can build a country for themselves where everyone lives happily with no worries for the future. That's the real "moving on".
