Loved this video mate, amazing details. I can't wait to experience this in VR. Take care.
Thanks Steve. Trying this type of thing in VR will be next level - shame they didn't let us try it in the Alpha.
@@Huddison You've inspired me to make a video actually, btw, I learned how to run! Using an X Box controller, it's the right trigger while pressing forward :)
@@VRFlightSimGuy Ah Brilliant! I look forward to seeing your own video ;)
This with grass, will be utterly phenomenal graphics!!! 🎉🎉🎉
It should look amazing!
Is walking around really the big thing? 2020 had a drone you could slow down anyway to walking pace. The shadow of the person here seems 80% done. The transition from standing still to walking is very snappy.
This feature will be very much a preference thing.
If you want to impress me walk around a major city. Then we’ll see how good scenery really is.
i made a youtube video like 6 years ago explaining how x-plane did flight sim in vr and the first thing i talk about is the fact you can walk around the plane. Flight sim has been holding this feature back forever. that is pretty crappy
good they added this in, because it's way janky trying to do this with the drone and keyboard
Agreed.
I'll be cutting my grass in the back garden 😂😂
😂
How is it actually performing in flight?
Thanks for the pointer - I'll aim to cover that.
Can we set to walk around become third person view?
I don't believe they are allowing that.
Yeah, I was doing this 4 years ago in MSFS2020 in drone view slowed right down. I see little difference. Could even do a walk around in cockpit view on XBox. It was a huge help for real world flying. Nothing new here.....
It's obviously not for you then...
it can see what will like in city
interesting how it will work walking in vr
That'll be fun to test out!
A cautionary tale for current and prospective Meta Quest VR headset owners for MSFS 2020/24:
I'm on day 7 of Meta holding my Quest headsets hostage. I've been using Oculus/Quest devices from the day they started making them (10 years ago?), and have not been required to give my date of birth to Meta in all this time. But they recently demanded my DOB under threat of disabling my Quests, and they made good on that threat 7 days ago. Meta can metaphorically brick your headsets, any time they want, and for any reason they want, and you will have no defense against it.
Conclusion: don't BUY anything from Meta, ever. The thing you BUY will not be yours.
How's that even remotely relevant to this video?!

It will look way better when the grass is switched on lol
Definitely.
One day you'll have photoreal unreal engine trees and grasses. Imagine that? Basically the real world reproduced. Maybe MSFS 2034?
A day to savour!
Hello is it able try walk around in city
It's a bit of an unknown at the moment - until the full release of FS2024 with photogrammetry.
Amazing
BUT WHY THERE IS NO GRASS AT ALL?? DOWNGRADED?????
please do a video visiting some POIs: there are many interesting castles in the caribbean and Europe, are they included??
There's not a great deal of photogrammetry included in this Alpha; just the odd city/area.
Is this Earth Simulator?
Amazing eh!
The walk around feature is very good yes. I wouldn’t say revolutionary, as it’s been available in P3D since well, forever. A2A even brought it to MFS20 with their commanche. Xplane has it as well. MFS is simply catching up with other sims. That’s all.
Fair enough
#414 Like .....just for you Hud! lol
Aww thanks :)
Hi @ huddison this is really shaping up to be something oof the scale, can I ask please, I'm looki continue to complete my peripherals,I'm liking the logitech instrument panels ,if I buy 2 will that mean I can stack them and get them to show 2 separate dials permanently, thanks for all your 24 content again ✌️
Thanks. I believe that's the way the instrument panels work (I still need to get them); but I would hold off until we know for certain whether FS2024 will support them.
@Huddison oh okay, was I wrong to assume that they would automatically work ?, i just took it for granted that they would be supported
My Multi & Radio Panels did not work with the Alpha, but Logitech will have to push out a new driver for FS2024 (which I'm fairly confident will happen).
@Huddison just got contact from logitech this morning to say all their products will work on mfs 24 .Would anybody be able to give me a reason to purchase the radio panel please . I do not communicate to ATC using mic ,am I confusing the radio panel with ATC communication .During flight when required to change frequency as you go through zones , is the benefit of using radio panel meaning that you don't have to use mouse .Sorry if it's a newbie question. Thanks for all you content ✌️
Need a first person shooter & fighter helicopter mode
I’d buy that module
Stuning
It really is.
Wow! This will be fun to play. Looks like some sections of the ground need some work, but I’m sure they’ll have that fixed at release.
@@nate_riggins_photography I think we're in for a real visual treat with it.
I sure hope there's a way to turn off those "Toggle EFB" and "Toggle Pins" labels. They will ruin every screenshot & video if you can't turn those off.
Yes, I found them to be a bit distracting too.
why there is no grass?
Coming in the full release.
Time to visit Disney Land.
;)
Environnement simulator is the future ? 😂
Nice scenery. A shame it’s Mickey Mouse flight dynamics.
Trees are great. Now if only they could get their ground textures and grass up to the standard of even a basic video game ! These are just plain embarrassing !!
This is not the finished product; still a huge improvement over FS2020.
