Actually very few people use the shadow clone. Most people just use a different variation a clone substitution and are much weaker. The shadow clone is forbidden jitsu
Pretty sure most jonin can but the mutiple* shadow clone jutsu is forbidden.

In fairness naruto learned to use the rasengan in a week by making use of a shadow clone to help him manipulate the chakra right, and completing it like minato intended would’ve taken naruto years but thankfully he has the ability to do the shadow clone training method cutting training time in half for every clone he uses

Minato must've done a lot of study just to do experiment the concept of it. Take note Minato knows Shadow Clones too

I have... And it was a sword kata... I was lucky the rooms didn't get damaged. No other people around and probably no way to open the door I would hope. Still I would as trying to score highly in a martial arts tournament and routinely do go through the motions of various katas in my sleep, I just don't normally sleepwalk. Sleepwalking can be situationally dangerous, even more so when weapons or hell forbid firearms get involved.
This was more a result of three days of doing it nonstop among hundreds of clones and sometimes passing out, so his brain basically still thought he was training
