Learn how you can make your own furniture wax. Similar ingredients as Briwax and Lustra. This is part 1 where I just make the wax. Part 2 will be released soon which shows how to apply wax and tests these home made waxes and compares it to Lustra wax.

You can melt the wax over open flame you just need to use a double boiler..

Have you ever calculated the savings in cost?Can you roughly tell me what it cost to buy the three ingredients and how many ounces it would it make?

I cannot give you an exact cost per ounce. I can tell you that if you buy a pound of beeswax, a pound of carnauba wax and a gallon of paint thinner, you will have enough way to last a lifetime. :-)

Darn it, I only need enough wax to wax chessmen... wish I could buy minwax paste clear by the oz...
