Rolling Stone has been unreliable and printing fake news for years. I believe they also panned "Led Zeppelin II"---one of the best albums ever. The editor Jann Wenner kept the group Chicago out of the Rock and Roll HOF because of a dis that one Chicago member made about Rolling Stone in the 70's. Roling Stone sucks and so apparently does Wenner.
"i have been to the mountains and i've been in the rain i've been in and out of happiness i have dined with kings and i've been offered wings but i've never been too impressed"! Only Dylan can write and sing this sort of majestic stuff! The man,the legend, the icon!

Im. 34. Chicana ❤️ Dog mom 😂 been listening to Dylan since high school 🏫 2004 Thanks to FREE Public Broadcasting Service. Best artist of all time 🐐❤️🙏🏽
Awesome. Still have the album and others on vinyl from my teens and my dad's original Freewheelin. I was blessed to have parents who had impeccable, wide-ranging taste in music.
It is so easy to understand how Tom Petty and Bob Dylan and their paths crossed, and they became friends and cohorts and time and crime and music and joy. Easy to understand. This is beautiful.
Thanks so much for posting - never heard this song. No other musician has ever written and performed so many songs in so many different styles. This song seems in a different style than any of the other melodies and background instruments that Bob performed.
I don't know the history of this album or if it was well reviewed by critics and fans but I would rank it as my favourite Dylan albums. It contains some of his most accessible songs but without compromising his standards.
This album has been described as capturing Bob halfway between divorce and Jesus, as he became a born-again Christian not long after its release. The divorce was intense, bitter and nasty with Bob, Sara and the kids all walking away with some scars. The songs are deeply personal and a different vibe than anything Bob recorded before - it didn't help that the audio mix on the original release wasn't great, so Bob's great lyrics got a bit lost in the music. As a result, it wasn't very well-received, but with time I think most have realized it's one of his best.
A friend of mine gave me this album for my 19th birthday in the late 70s. He died some time ago. But this album still reminds me the years of our joyful and crazy youth under a military dictatorship.
One of my long time favorites.I use to had the record and then I lost it.Reminds me to buy the album again on cd.However I still have the Budukan Live Album and I can play the song.It is so beautiful and it says a lot.Bobs songs are written in letters of truth and move me always a lot.I love many kinds of music. But always when I go back to Bobs Music,it is like coming home after been away from home for so long.Thank You🙏
*Dylan was at his best, or at least as lyrically colorful as any period of time with his Street Legal LP. I believe this song was about his Wife, since this was written during his painful divorce.*
In my opinion, this song is only bested by his mind-blowing song- Blind Willie McTell. BD is a true musical genius and giant. One of the greatest of all time!
Always thought it was inspired by Spanish group Mocedades: listen to the beginning of "Eres tú", and the lyrics to "Tómame o déjame". Another example of loving and thieving. But it does not lessen Dylan's work. As in "Restless farewell" and so many others, he is a genius creating a great song out of another great one
Shall I write it ALL down, why? With you is where I belong, Robert! Have 50 years of my patients flown by like a “jet plane” for you, Bobby. It has been no less, the length of my cruel sentence ….so far
Street Legal is in a class of its own. Bob is super unpredictable. Been following him since the 60s. It wasn't easy to accept the electric guitar, though.
A very thoughtful gesture to bless your fans with in times of end time trouble. The only fruitful act is to love unselfishly and to give as you do.This can only bring true love to your doorstep.Thank you Bobby Z.
I got the news for you. The only reason you are getting to hear this on UA-cam is because Bob sold his catalog and now someone else is getting very rich off of it.
@@edited7382 I am truly shocked to hear that the buyer of Bob's song catalogue has done this on UTube. If they use his name when posting the songs, can it be reported to the UTube community tactfully? I wonder if Bob trusted this person, and then, did they purposely wait a certain amount of time before releasing them ? The eventuality probably should have been surmised and written up in the bill of sale. The importance of following through with a class action lawsuit is a must. No doubt there is a legal paper trail of other famous songwriters who have had their works pirated or underhandedly bootlegged. Therefore current songwriters should rally with Bob in a class action lawsuit and each video post not receiving approval of the artist should come with a warning. It is hurtful to the Dylan/Zimmerman clan and can only result in blood stained money. This sale of the songbook should have had a contractual codicil regarding royalties resulting from internet postings to be paid to the songwriter and/or family.I pray that Jakob will address this betrayal of confidence i.e. gentlemens' agreement to act with loyalty and respect toward the goodwill of the artist. This should never ever happen again to any artist/singer/ songwriter!
@@simonedevlin7710 What are you going on about? Bob Dylan sold his entire catalog for about $400,000, and whoever bought it is entitled to do whatever they want with it Including posting it all on UA-cam and monotizing it with commercials. His phrasing is some of the best in Rock that's why He was one of Sinatra's favorite Singers and who knows singing better than Frank 😊
