I live near a little privately owned bus and lorry mechanics shop. Have some neat old parts buses coming through as well. Its always a good feeling when worse, run down examples of old vehicles are used as donors to keep other, better examples on the road for longer, and potentially set them up for permanent preservation. Great stuff.
Glad you enjoyed the video and I agree its nice to see not all is wasted
Hearns of devon coach is a MAN chassis with Noge Catalan body, The racing coach is a 1982 Bedford on a Duple Dominant 3 body, The small london bus is a MCW Metroliner new to Travel West Midlands..The snmall bus you entered the rear door from is the same make, The buses you thought were airport buses are infact council operated and are Optare Aleros, the small green coach is a 1963 Bedford with duple bella vega body. The red and white coach you went on is a 1984 Bedford with Plaxton Paramount body ....i can name every coach and bus in that graveyard. The white coach inside is the only one ever built. It's a seddon Pennine with Willowbrook body and i believe is Nigels baby...he won't sell it
Ohhh thanks Lee for all the info love learning about things I have seen and places I have been. So the white coach is the only one ever to be built? That's crazy
I like the Seddon Pennines, they do have character in any form
Nice to see the Westlink Metrorider still about. Definitely a rare bus these days
Was told quite a few rare hidden gems here
Glad you spoke to Nigel first...he is a decent bloke and will let anyone look round if asked....It's if people don't ask he get's arsy as he has had things pinched
Yeah he was an awesome dude explained about some idiots that had been which we both agreed is not on. Glad he didn't mind me being on the site as was amazing to film and take pictures of all the things that were there
Always known in the area as Prynne’s when it was open as a garage. Used to go there a lot with my Dad when I was a kid. The cafe there was nice and the chap who used to play Alan Turner in Emmerdale always used to pop by on his motorbike.
Browns buses used to take me to school :)
Ohhh thanks for sharing with us :)
I live near here, my mum used to work in the cafe where the green and red striped bus and white one was parked up where you walked behind when she was a teenager, the A reg one you got on used to take us on school trips when I was in primary school 😂.
Browns of builth was a legendary company in it's time, it's just a shame that it's gone now, had some brilliant drivers and a couple of really grumpy ones that weirdly hated us school kids despite the local schools being their biggest customers
Aha thank you for all the extra information glad you enjoyed the video
it honestly would be cool to see a will it start with all of these, old diesel vehicles sound amazing
Aha imagine them all going at the same time ⏲️
The company was Browns Of Builth , closed in 2021 I believe - Premises was known as "Builth Services" In the 70s/80s I think
Ohhh thanks for the extra info
This is awsome❤ thank you a bunch!
Glad you like it! :)
Is so sad that cool rare cars are abandoned 😭
Agreed its a shame hidden away and forgotten
They're not that rare or old😂
@@Alan-jx5hn bro are you blind?
@@randomthingsstuff6591 Not at all, but you must be blind, you still see car's like that all the time on the roads today, and i'm not your bro
I absolute love this place, i really want to come back sometime soon 🎉
Yes this place was great to explore and totally different to what you would usually see
As a coach driver who drives a volvo b10m it breaks my heart to see 2 left to rot away 😢
Yeah its crazy seeing all these coaches here and cars
Ce n,est que de la carrosserie pièce à récupérer peut etre sorry
There is not a lot you can do with them, unfortunatley. Rather big to keep at home. Sold one for a playbus project about 20 years ago.
That is some epic Buses you have spotted great video
Cheers my dude and yeah was a great explore
Another nice explore thsnks for sharing with us all
Glad you enjoyed crazy place right and those cars hidden away
Wow very very very very rare cars...
Yeah some great finds hidden away here
The greyhound one i believe is a Duple Dominant
I am not madsive into my knowledge in vehicles so thanks for the info
Pat Heard of North Devon was a good operator. The MCW (Metrorider ?) not many of them left, worth restoring. Silcox of Pembroke Dock
Heard there are some rare coaches here as well :)
Good video thanks you
Glad you enjoyed the video
The Saab might be worth quite a few smackers as they ceased production some years ago
I know you hardly see Saab's knocking about anymore I remember when they were all the rage at one point
Sounds like someone is from the West Midland I am originally from Castle Vale B35 bought up there in the 80s and 90s... New I live in Chester UK
i5 from Chester UK 🇬🇧👍
Ahh nope been in west Yorkshire for 25 years born in Lincolnshire
The coach that you boys came across with the red and green stripe used to work for jeffs coaches at helmdon in bracket Northamptonshire and their office was in banbury oxfordshire until they went bankrupt but some of jeffs coaches went to work for various companies such as worths coaches and various other local companies from John and Nora here in kidlington in oxfordshire
Ohh thanks for the extra info john
the hyundai peugeot and saab need to be saved poor things before they get worse (imstokze has been here before)
Aha hey stokze and I have seen so many amazing cars left over the years mad right
I was in my early 20s when these cars were bran new.....omg.
Aha how time flies right
That Man would make a lovely motorhome 😊.
Aha a few of these could make some motor homes however lots far to gone
I can't really pick a favorite bus because I love all busses all sizes
Aha some amazing vehicles here
Good work by the A team
Cheers my dude crazy place right
this is a place people have well documented
Well add me to the list :)
The Welsh operator small buses really need restoring by the wales based bus preservation groups. A clean, sort out the seats, electrics and the basic servicing and there is hope to get them running.
I think the smaller ones for sure would be easier to sort and do out - idea bigger ones converted into housing maybe static some people have been doing that lately
I pass this quite regularly.
Mad place with so much left to see great photos taken
Nice buses
Aha I know mad place this
I want that Westlink MetroRider!!!!
Aha loads of very rare coaches here apparently
@@BeardedReality Anything Volvo pre-computer - B10M, B58 - regardless of the body, and I'd be after it. Even better if it has push-button start instead of key ignition....
Hi Daniel, Jess here, these with the exception of the little ex London Optare buses and the minibus, are all Coaches, not Buses. And that what you referred to as carpet, is known as Moquet.
Aha hey Jess thanks for the extra info appreciate it and lol I see buses and coaches as the same thing really lol not a massive vehicle knowledge kinda beard always learning though :)
youre pronounciation of place name makes me smile. Its Bilth for Builth and bid-a fud for Bideford.
Aha I would say I would work on it but I know how I say things 😂 Sometimes have a go a speaking Welsh but oh god lol
Yeah, could be American...
I used to drive buses for London united and the little hopper k1 bus used to come out of tolworth near Kingston upon Thames ( not sure if it still does)
aha apparently there is quite a few rare buses and coaches here mad how things end up
Tolworth (TV) still exists, as does the K1 , but dont know if both are associated.
Nothing a bit of G101 wont clean up
Alot would take a lot to restore others abit of gaffer tape job done ;)
seen this before by the bearded explorer
A few people have done this over the past few years epic place to film
looks like end game
Aha everyone disappeared 😅
can i have a postcode please? I love visiting places like this with my son. Of course, I will ask the owner's permission to enter
Sorry all the information I give out about the place is in the video I don't give out exact locations or postcodes
BID -e- ford, not Bideford ! It's a town in Devon.
Aha I have been to Devon once lol aha I tend to just say things how I read them lol
Noooo the Rover 75 and Saab 9-3 😢😢😢😢😢😢
aha I know its mad the crazy cars we come across in these places
What's the reason beyond that they abondoned plenty of vehicles? Watching you from Philippines..
Many reasons why places are abandoned however with the buses and coaches here they are now left basically to rust and die with parts used to repair other buses and coaches where they can
@@BeardedReality oh yes... thanks for your kind reply Sir...
I know this place!
It's a great place for sure
on "Porsche" you have to pronounce the "e" , it's not Porsch it's Porsche. But a great Location, I love old buses.
Aha such an amazing location to see and forgive me I pronounce things very strangely lo
Some of these buses look like the bus from that old bbc movie Our Day Out. Dont know if you have seen it. Its by willy russel.
Aha I have not seen it but will have to give it a check at somepoint
I wish I could hear the startup of these amazing buses. But is that really abandoned? Someone must taking care of that place otherwise it would be vandalised, I’m just saying
Aha yeah would be great to hear these running. They are privately owned by the gent next door but not been In service for some time. This is a place where these mechanical beasts go to die and parts that are salvageable are used to repair other coaches and buses
So does this company still operate restoring these busses I sure Hope so
I don't think so seems like a side project now I think
if u had to pick out of those cars and busses which one or ones would start
Hmm not sure alot of then would probably the porshe and the cars at the front tbh
Heuuuu hyundai car and Mercedes 🚌 🚍 bus 🚌 ok 👌
I've been on that bus lol
Aha so many cool buses and coaches here
2:39 it is pronounced bi-duh-fuhd
😂😂 I am not gonna lie I struggle with the Welsh language
@@BeardedReality bideford isn't welsh. Its a town in north Devon
Is it possible to buy one of em and fix em and sell em
I don't think most of these would be fixable without significant investment reason being that they are used as spare parts for other buses and coaches however sure some would need only a little work
Too much work, too much time, too much money 💸💸💸
aha that is life my friend i feel that
@@BeardedReality live and let live, good luck on your projects👍🏻🤠
Hello i,m french je constate que le concasseur n,exite plus dommage certains 🚌 sont
En bon état et moteur plus ou mois les pneumatiques sont encore bien gonflables
Bon courage see you later
Oh génial et ouais beaucoup de choses sont parties mais il reste encore beaucoup de filles que tu as appréciées
the owner might want to keep the place occupied, estate should be more costlier than the vechiles
Well it is still privately owned but they lay there disused
Mate where is this plaice. I have a coach same as the white one facing the rusty red one
All the information I give in the video 📹
Wouldnt a will it start be an interesting video if the owner of the place allows it
Ohh yeah that would be awesome lol
How much brown ,silcox how Much
4 million doubloons
Did the buses smell of damp?
A few did byut most were in good condition
First
Aha well done 👏
All I can see is f1 stockcar transporters 😂😂
We’ve gone and brought a Volvo b10m and we’re going to convert it ready for racing

Привет. Можно к вам, на кружку чая и совместный поход?
более чем приветствую, вы приносите чай, я найду приключение :)
@@BeardedReality договоримся о деталях встречи позднее🥰😬👍
I thought you were british but you are american.
Aha I am British but just a little Americanised over the years
@@BeardedReality ok guys, yeah guys, you guys, them guys, us guys, other guys, we know guys, damned Yankee talk............guys.

Nothing but Utter Scrap
😂 alot I can imagine are good for scrap now but major cool to see for sure
Old chop shop that son 😂😂
aha yes - watch the Stanly tools video from a few year back now that was a chop hop jeez lol
You should have lifted the petrol nozzle and check if the smell is still there 😢
Aha 50 year old petrol smell perhaps
stokezy went there last year
Quite a few people have been here over the years however they miss a big section of it :)
Loads off people already bin 2 this place
You make it sound like a tourist location a few people have been yes not loads 😂
Let the buses rest in peace / no respect these days
Think you will find I am very respectful Tony 😂 all I do is document and take pictures
