Michael McManus Discusses Political Comedy Play - Party Games! - Part 1

ANDY HOWELLS chats to writer of the new political comedy Party Games! Michael McManus began his political career working with the then Secretary of State for Wales, David Hunt (now Lord Hunt of Wirral), as his special adviser.
He helped to negotiate the emergency grant that saved Welsh National Opera in the early 1990s and supported the successful efforts to create the radical redevelopment of Cardiff Bay, by means of Alun Michael’s Private Member’s Bill to facilitate the building of the barrage. With Sir Wyn Roberts (later Lord Roberts of Conwy), Michael co-wrote the Conservative manifesto for Wales in 1992. He was also Head of Sir Edward Heath’s private office from 1995-2000.
