How touching is that he mimicked JJ’s voice. I listened to JJ when I was 18. Now I am 41 and JM plays it! Rock-n-roll will never die, and as long as it lives, I will.
You got to admit that JM has improved both in skills and taste. He managed to mature from teeny bop idol. Usually that doesn't end well but he pulled it off.
I really love like John Mayer and you absolutely do this song amazing ! Love it … thank you for sharing this , always listen to this song a lot years ago and still 👏♥️”
I don't care for John Mayer, I don't like covers in general & I really don't like covers of absolute classics ... buuuut ... damn, this might be better than the original. The blues angle hooked me right away. We'll done. 🫡
I feel like you’re studying the blues when you wrote this song as far as the story telling goes not bad. Projecting. An experiment. The guitar playing is amazing and vocal tambre god like. The band amazing. You are magnificent and a song is a whimsical after all. I love you for it anyway. Best wishes.
I think it’s John (1:50) that sounds very John to me , but he sure can play bb king and Jimi Hendrix and SRV as well ,they’re his influences at the end of the day so it makes sense
"Call Me The Breeze" um tema recorrente de há décadas para cá, interpretado por nomes sonantes do rock: -JJ cale, Peter Frampton, Lynyrd skynyrd e tantos outros. E a saga continua com o interessante John Mayer que se sai lindamente com a sua versão magnifica desta composição cuja origem se perde no tempo!

Call me an old lady, but I love your music, your voice and liric in your songs ... if you were not a singer so probably you would be poet..... Greecing from Denmark....
Though I prefer the reduced finesse of JJ s playing this music starts to calm this very dedicated player down. I wish I could to parts of it. Gone practice.
I think people like the songs with simpler chords (or whatever they're called. [I don't play the guitar]) so the instrument doesn't overpower the catchy tune--lile Marty did when he overwhelmed the unsuspecting teenagers in 1955. That's why travelling as a musician with the Dead must be so much fun. All the band's music is rather catchy and you can jam out indefinitely.
I'm not criticizing you all, really. I will just say my opinion here that there must be no such thing as competition. Good music should be spreaded! We should thank JM and Lynyrd Skynyrd for doing THAT
@@bluesyace9564 nah, comparing anyone to Clapton is immediately a compliment, when people call Clapton god they’re actually complimenting god, seriously though, Mayer is amazing and it’s a great compliment to be compared to Clapton, I understand that it could be taken as disrespectful as John is his own thing but it’s really just a compliment to John
Damn you youtube taking down the jools holland video of this live........................ pure quality one of the best live covers i've ever heard! For shame for shame
They’re not competing. They’re musical guys giving their take on a great song. You prefer EC. I prefer JM. No one’s “blowing anyone out of the water” jeeesh!!
Seriously not terrible listened Atlanta Rhythm Section mades good version by exemple. Many blues rock guitarist singer re better than him..I don't understand.
Caleb Lim hi. Hope you don’t mind but my 16 year old grandson did this at open mic. Would love to know what you think ua-cam.com/video/JiQAhbcwD5w/v-deo.html

Would love to see John Mayer do more country covers. He’s talented enough to bring back some ole Johnny cash
Oh for sure dude ,100%
An album of Americana blues based songs from JM would be a knockout!
...but this is a blues song.
This is blues mate
John Mayer is like a gem in the music industry and always has been. His album is so relaxing and just amazing... my favourite xx
Great cover of J.J. Cale. May his soulful spirit rest in peace.

J.J. would be very proud! Excellent job mister John Mayer...
I dig how he did the double vocal overlay to pay respect to the original. Very cool.
This is a wonderful version of Call Me the Breeze!
A pretty respectable cover. I would say J.J. Cale himself would be proud.
No one can come close to the original J.J was superior to this guy.
Man, is this a groove, or what?
Phenomenal, John you are a living L E G E N D! JJ would be so proud. This is my favorite cover!!
Hello how are you doing it’s nice meeting you here.
for me the best cover of the jj cale song.

I love all the version - JJ Cale , Lynyrd Skynyrd , Eric Clapton , John Mayer.

he has always been an amazing guitar player, neon is one of his first songs and is hard af to play

JJ Cale wrote this one, Cocaine and a few others. His version is a tad more laid back, however his "Cocaine" is better than Clapton's rendition.
JJ Cale cover
love the interpretation of j.j.cale
the Voice as smooth & cool as JJ.
Well done❤
John Mayer is awesome
I think BB King does the solo on This One and they decided to keep it a secret
very funny
The first one, for sure.
I think it’s John (1:50) that sounds very John to me , but he sure can play bb king and Jimi Hendrix and SRV as well ,they’re his influences at the end of the day so it makes sense

it's a cover of lynyrd skynyrd, he didn't write this song
+MrJorjabitbol cover of JJ Cale not LS
+Eliades Pastor i think it's lynyrd's arrangement
Its JJ Cales song. Listen and learn.
MrJorjabitbol sounds more like Clapton’s version
Today Is ok too!! ❤

Only just found out this was a jj cale song but I’m ok with that I still love the song ❤❤ johns version is so good
great songs
JJ que estás en los cielos...
SUPER
It's not really a cover when you keep the integrity of the original. I say good job John Mayer 👍
It's better to keep the integrity of the original in some cases... This sure is one of them
The original by JJ Cale is still the Best!
JJ Cale music

I think I prefer the skynard version to this one however that doesn't mean I don't like this one it's really pretty awesome
