On what planet is Azzi a #2 pick? She's had about 5-6 really good games in 40+. If not for the hype coming out of HS, no one would even been talking about her. Her only great skill is 3 pt shooting and she's only a 38% career 3 pt shooter. That's good, but far from great. Paige is abouut 44% and it's not in her top 5 skills. Azzi is maybe the 5th best playmaker on the team, maybe 5th best at creating her own shots, and a liability on D. It's amazing that people can't see past the hype and actually evaluate how she's played. She's not even remotely close to AA, let alone #2 pick. Wake up. Right now, she'd have a tough time getting minutes over 2 freshmen
12/31/2023 is the beginning of the most challenging test that you, Paige Bueckers, have ever taken. That's because you don't have Azzi Fudd to help you and because there are so many terrific female players. Just look at Notre Dame, for example, their premier point guard, Olivia Miles, has been totally replaced by Hidalgo & DeWolf. That's quality depth in action. Of course, however, you could say that Azzi has been more than adequately replaced by KK and Ashley. ND lost Citron, but Maddie Westbeld, and others, stepped up. Still, you don't have a Lauren Betts, a Cameron Brink, or a Tatts Cardoza, or even a Nelson Odota. The closest you have to that is Amari DeBerry. Sure, you have Alyia Edwards, but Lauren will eat her alive down low, Cameron will stretch her way out from the bucket when she's defending & Cardoza will give her neck spasms. So, how are you going to take this team to an elite level? it sure looks like the 2023-2024 UCONN WBB will suffer more than 8 loses. How are you going to do better than that with a 6'2" center, a 6'4 gimp & a 6'5" bench warmer?

I wonder if Azzi had her surgery yet,cuz nobody has mentioned her,plus will Paige leave for the draft after this n where will that leave Azzi when she comes back cuz everybody always thought it will be Paige n Azzi but they only played 17 gm together now who would have thought that.
Her intellect is amazing. Taurasi never had this leadership and game knowledge at the same point in her UCONN career.

We have yet to see where Paige will be at the same stage. And, she didn't play for a year. I just hope she stays healthy.
