@@pedsdoctalktv We ended up needing a prescription compounded cream, but it works SO well for both of my babies. Now we always keep it on hand and I never travel without it! Our kids just have extra sensitive bums 😆
Hey, first off I would like to thank you for the help. You should know that it’s not only Mothers that watch. I’m a father of a baby girl. You should make sure PARENTS feel supported not just mothers.
Great question. Unfortunately we don't know how much is too much for systemic absorption of this as it has magnesium and almunium, so i usually dont advise it. If it's occasional mixture, likely not an issue. But, we just don't know how much is too much for babies for using maalox topically
Yes sometimes clinicians recommend that and it can be helpful in certain circumstances to make digestive enzymes ineffective and reduce skin break down
Best diaper rash treatment I have found apply liquid antacid with a silicone brush allow it to completely dry.... and then apply A&D Ointment to lock it in the calcium will neutralize the skin and the Magnesium Will Repair it
Mam my 2 month old daughter is suffering from croup plz guide me how long lasting croup is. When she will get rid of croup. Is croup perminant or curable please please reply me
I haven’t seen any studies looking at this but in theory yes, bacteria love warm environments so I’d think that wipe warmers may contribute to diaper rashes. I’d recommend looking at it on a case by case basis, if you use a wipe warmer and your baby isn’t prone to rashes, feel free to continue to use it. If they get diaper rashes frequently, consider dropping the wipe warmer to see if it helps
You've got a new subscriber! This has been by far the most informative and comprehensive video on diaper rash I've found thank you so much!
Aw thank you!! I'm so glad you found it helpful! Glad you're here and part of this community!
I didn't realize HOW miserable bad diaper rashes can be before I became a mom. It is SUCH a relief to find a routine that works!
What worked for your babes? It really is like any other skin care regimen (no one-size-fits-all)

My 16 month old has diarrhea and is suffering badly from her rash. I just bought some zinc oxide products. Do you recommend a baking soda bath?
What are your thoughts on malox and aquafor mix for diaper rash?

What about mixing antacid with aquaphor? That’s pretty popular.

What if prescribed creams or ointments aren’t working?
If prescribed treatment isn't working in the timeframe it's supposed to I'd follow up with your child's clinician to discuss the best next steps!
Great video ❤
Thanks so much!!
