Love the servo tests, tire tests and driving videos. I own many sets of Gmade 1904s because of your reviews...and I couldn't be happier for the few dollars that I spent on them. Are there better tires. sure. Do they cost twice as much, sure. Keep 'em coming!
SHV800 goes in the same category with the NSDRC RS800 and AGFRc A86BUMW, producing "too much power for practical use." But as I say, if you're gonna kill it, might as well overkill it.

And we're up to 3 piles of rocks to be shipped ranging from 1-4" and a couple 6-10". Out of curiosity how far is it to the nearest campground? And is it possible to volunteer for course work?
Plenty of space to tent out in the Canyon, if camping wasn't a torturous activity for the self-loathing. I do need some holes dug, if you like diggin' holes. I figure I'll dig 'em in the fall, when it's not 90º at 10pm.
@@CrawlerCanyon the 3rd gen 4runner is going to be getting a drawer system/sleep platform once the rear seats sell & I'm a glutton for punishment I worked wildfire because they paid me to go camping. Main reason I asked about a camp ground is I've got a heeler that goes everywhere I do, and noone to watch her if i go out of state.
I think the roll in is what I’d be looking for because that’s more how it’s used when driving. I’d be interested in seeing the NSDRC 2500 getting tested. I went with that instead of the reefs one when the scx6 jeeps were first released. It’s still running strong but I run it straight 3s power.
Well I can say that's probably not gonna happen here, as I don't stray from this "scale range." Definitely no 6th scale stuff, it's honestly less likely than seeing 18th scale stuff on here. I'm sticking firmly to one "parts ecosystem." Well, that and I don't think the scale goes that high. 🤣
@@CrawlerCanyonor was it from getting hot? It's warmer inside than it is on the outside where you touch it. Could be regulated, but who knows till it's tested😁
@@bazzani21 well, I'm not going to test it at 16.8V, because I've blown up enough gears in servos that don't belong to me. Real-world operation will seldom put the kind of strain on the geartrain that a dead stall against a scale will-- especially with the servo effectively being fed unlimited amps. Most servos use similar gears-- so a servo peaking at 400oz-in stall might have the same gears as one producing 1000oz-in.
Have you test a REEFS 777? I would like to see that and Steve's servo tested. I have several of both and currently loving the AGFRC 2023 Specific Edition 45kg in my SCX pro but the the strong servo like Steve's 55kg shows weakness during heavy load.
Would it be nice to mod a servo horn/wheel with a 1"hole? Seems like it would be a real timesaver. The rest of the test rig is bespoke, go the extra inch!
Find me a massive double-clamper with room to put a hole at 25.4mm and I'm on it. This rig has annihilated half a dozen horns, including an NSDRC which happened to have a hole at exactly one inch. This horn is robust enough that the A86BUMW snapped the rod end on the test linkage.
Spinning Susan at the start of each show, to me, is the equivalent of the beginning of the twilight zone episodes with the spiraling corkscrew!

Love watching these tests! Just wondering why you lowered the voltages from 12.6 to 11.0, 16.8 to 14.0, etc....
Those were the voltages spec'd for the torque numbers by Holmes.

Since it is rated at 4s, it should run at 16.8v. I would like to know how comparable or far apart the results are to 14v.
I think the output is internally regulated, as the servo made less power at 14.4 than at 14.0.

The 444 was the first Reefs to hit the bench. They're just too rich for my blood. A single 444 is a pair of Flash Hobby M60s.
